Today...
Apparently this is my first post in 7.5 months. I'm not entirely sure why. It's especially odd because I have had a grand total of 3 shifts in the last 6 weeks, including zero in the last 4. Today will feature a buffet lunch... which I will probably regret, but can't say no to. It's probably the only thing my sister and I do together that we can both enjoy at the time, though. Also, it is currently 4:18am EST, and I cannot sleep.

Today...
Just got up at 6am, after getting less than an hour of sleep to go to work, only to find out they changed my schedule on Friday and didn't tell me. I haven't worked in over a week, and they called me on Wednesday about working Tuesday to Friday mornings this week... Now they have me Wednesday to Friday afternoons. Better, yes, but a heads-up would have been nice.

What Game(s) Did You Last Get and What Are You Playing?
Just got NHL 12. I haven't really played it, yet, though.

What do you do when you're left home alone?
I tend to sleep because the only time I get the house to myself for any length of time is early mornings when I am asleep. On the rarest of occasions I am awake and alone for a while, I don't change anything I normally do. I still play video games and watch tv, just a little louder.

What book are you currently reading?
I started John Grisham's The Chamber. I've had it for over a year, but haven't read it yet. Not bad, so far, but I'm not very far in.

Going to work/school while sick
This is the key part that I've discovered over the years. If your employers see you trying your hardest to work when you're slightly ill they're automatically going to assume that when you're off you have a very valid reason. But if you're always in prime condition and take a lot of time off, they'll assume you're just being a wimp. (Especially if you constantly complain about it) I have to agree. I haven't taken a day off in 5 years and my supervisor has seen me struggle through some shifts (due to fatigue, not actual illness). He was good to me for 3 years... and now I have a new supervisor who didn't see the struggles and doesn't help me out at all. As I have never needed to take a sick day from work, I don't know much about it, but I took a day off school as often as I could get away with.

sad?
I'm going to work, and then I'll probably go to bed when I get home. It's the same every year.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
My dog would freeze in the winter without her coat or sweater, but I agree with you in most cases. It's unnecessary. Also, I thought I would have been higher on that list. Only 62 posts (63 now)?

What book are you currently reading?
Finished A Time to Kill last night. I watched the movie while reading the book so it gave away the ending, but maybe my favourite Grisham book so far.

Star Trek: Online
I decided to try it, and not bad so far but not great. However, they have had downtime that made it difficult for me to do much (it just happens to be during the few hours I can play.)

What movie(s) did you last see?
I've seen about 15 minutes of all MI movies combined (about 5 minutes of each of the first 3). Over the weekend, I watched all of the Shrek movies, The Whole 9 Yards, 5ive Girls, Twister, Telling Lies and more I can't think of. None of them were amazing but they weren't terrible, either.

New Year's Resolutions! + What did you do for NYE?
I never make resolutions because I always forget about them by the end of January. As for my NYE, I didn't do much of anything. I don't drink and the only party I might have gone to was canceled. As such, I watched the WJHC and read. I didn't even realize it was 2012 until about 2am. Overall, not a bad New Year's for me.

What book are you currently reading?
^I've never tried reading any. I'm currently reading some John Grisham. A Time to Kill, maybe followed by The Chamber. I've got about 10 of his books to read.

Dark Knight Rising
Ah, okay. I would agree that Michael Keaton was the best of the old, but I still don't like Christian Bale as Batman. I strongly felt that Heath Ledger's Joker saved Dark Knight. That and the fact that Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were in it.

Food
Just the opposite. I'm not sure how much cheese is too much, all I know is I haven't reached that point yet. I love cheese. On boxing day my parents made something called pizza soup. It's pretty much just pizza toppings (pepperoni and cheese and stuff) in tomato sauce. Delicious :-D Cheese is delicious. Put it on anything and it's instant win. I almost completely agree. But I am sure there are some things out there that even cheese cannot fix.

Today...
I've been getting up between 2 and 4pm every day. I need to start getting up before noon again. NYE was going to be spent at my aunt's house at her annual party but she isn't having it this year because not enough people show up. Last year there was at least 20 people in her house... which isn't that big. So I'll probably be alone.

Dark Knight Rising
No mention of Michael Keaton? I'll see it, even though I find Christian Bale to be dull.

Food
I got sick of cheese sandwiches... That's ultimately why I'm back to fried egg. It's about the only way I eat eggs, and even then not very often. I usually end up overcooking the eggs a bit, trying to make sure they aren't undercooked.

Food
My friend described the end result as looking like "Elephant pooh" but I might try that later. I have, once again, rediscovered the joys of a fried egg sandwich. It's simple and quick and delicious.
