  2. this is the same topic! reaper88888 replied to it 25 days after the last person.
  3. in 4th grade me an another person caught like a grade 1 or 2 writing on the inside of some play equipment in the play ground. we blackmailed him and said he owes us one if we don't tell on him lol. he was a little kid and was really scared so he accepted. eventually we decided to tell him to run into a class room at recess and push some books of tables. we got him to do it multiple times before we started doing it to lol. we done it for weeks without getting caught. eventually we went to far and ripped up some report papers the teacher was writing. when we did get caught shortly after we had to sit outside the staff room for the next week, all recess and lunch. funny thing was the teacher didn't expect me a bit. i was a shy kid that never got into any trouble back in early school days, this was the first trouble thing i did. she was so amazed i could have been involved. there was also an entire 1/4 year in grade 6 where we had a fill in principle (who couldnt control kids behavior very well) while our normal one went on long service leave. the entire school went rebel (its only a tiny school of 30 or 40 kids). i don't remember learning one thing that term. among all the things we done that term, me and some mates left the school near the bottom and made a cubby in the scrub. i remember having half the school there with us once, and the teachers never caught us. they came down but we just acted like nothing was happening, even though half the people there were hiding behind coffee bush's out of the school ground. in year 7 when our class had music we all turned rebel also. those were some fun times. we didnt do anything all semester in that class, not that i would have missed out on much. those times were great! none of us never got in any trouble year 8 camp was the best camp ever. i lived on soft drink for an entire 4 days, didnt eat anything you would class real food. someone in my cabin spewed up one night from all the [cabbage] he ate. good times! year 9 didn't really do much. some friends kicked down a door. busted for putting porn on school computers storage, never suspended like i should have been cos my mum wasn't home to answer phone, and teachers gave up lol. awsome as electronics/woodwork student teacher we had i used to give [cabbage] and he would just laugh, he was a real good bloke. you could bag him out and he would know your joking and just laugh, he was awesome, wish he never had to piss off back to uni or whatever. a friend brought some alcho mix stuff of coconut milk and a vodka or something to school. i didnt get any cos everyone else took it :(. we lit some leaves on fire for memory, wasnt big but never got busted. were hiding under buildings wagging last day of term. we were climbing out the other side under the boards just as the teacher opened the door, and we got busted. this year i haven't done much at all. wagged a few times, and had a beer at a mates one of them. im at school for a education now, thats the way i see it. i cant afford to screw up in the last years (if i dont get an apprenticeship before i finish) i haven't been in much trouble at all for all the stuff ive been involved in. the way i see it, if you knuckle down and get good marks like i do you can muck around and have fun sometimes, but not every day.
  4. good to see another aussie with an aussie car, not one of these stupid machines they call 'fords'
  5. thats not a suprise. dreams are all about what is going on in your head at the moment, in other words you were probably thinking about friends and the china thing that day, which you obviously were. i heard somewhere ages ago ancient Egyptians or someone used to believe dreams were how thoughts, especially evil ones, were cleared from your head each night so you had a fresh head the next day. something like that.
  6. have to agree there! ive got a 180B sedan myself, well i didn't pay for it but i call it mine (im on me L's). Me and my dad actually got 2 when my grandpa moved into a home and he had to sell his house and most of his stuff, one of which my dad fixed up for him years ago. the good body was a auto so we put the recon motor (my dad done years ago) and manual box into the good body from the other one and fixed everything up. its sweet. the other one is sittin in the shed fully stripped with everything off it sittin in it lol. we also picked up sss twin su's off ebay (originally from the sss coupe). the inlet ports are different sized for them then the standard carby's, we've got another head though so were gunna bore the ports and clean it up and put it on. its gunna absolutely go off then! cant wait. at school we've also got like 8 1200's motors that we fix up in auto. its awesome as. ill post some pics one day.
  7. banned because he uses : to much
  8. /\ was wrong about me knowing what world in conflict is < doesn't play world in conflict \/ doesn't play world in conflict either
  9. i couldn't care less about either of them. im an Aussie and im into cars i can own and use, not something i have to be a millionaire to afford and have no more fun than something a trillion times cheaper. you cant go burning around the bush in a viper can u? whats the fun if you only have it as a statement to how rich you are and cant actually use it practicly? im a big fan of datsun's (amazing car at an amazing price for there time), as well as early (not to early) holdens (chances are you will have to be Aussie to know who im talking about). anything with a ford badge on it doesn't phase me an inch. they just dont seem to have that spirit in them, that feeling that makes you wanna cream your jeans when you see a really nice one, expessially the later model ones. my one exception to that is mustangs, i don't mind them btw im 16, not 40. don't think im into all these old things cos im old myself. as far as im concerned new cars are getting worse and worse, with all the dam emission laws and bull****. technically they are getting better. but they dont have that old fassion simplicity, which just makes it so much more lovable. i would choose a blown datto over some blown super car anyday, unless i could sell the super car and use the money to buy the datto, in which case i would do that to keep the extra $$$
  10. haven't read the whole thing, 45 pages would take all day. in my personal opinion: yes, its wrong in the opinion from my head that is actually calculated and thought out: no, its not wrong, as long as it doesn't impact people who don't want to take that path
  11. that's a really good thought. and really possible to.

maybe you should hear them out. your a typical teenager. your parents are doing what they think is best for you. eventually you will work out fully that the world doesn't revolve just around you, that will come as you get older.

happened to me again just before. ripping up a alloy can i had just drunk, stupid me lol.
  14. 1) Is this project even feasible? yes of course, just dont expect it to work the first time you put it together and try it. theres a 99% chance something will have to be changed or totally re thought out. if you have the patience to make it work, it would be worth it though. 2) could you give me some tips to help improve it? with the whole way you have the wheel driving the propeler thing, it would work great if you could make it water proof, but that could be difficult. if you cant consider an idea where it doesn't have to breach the hull, such as this very basic drawing: black dot = shaft being driven by water wheel. other colors = shafts transfering effort to propeller without breaching the hull, meaning you dont have to worry to much about water proofing. good note: purple one could be a belt/chain also! makes it easier. this is just a basic example. also electric motors are cheep as chips. you will find some in old toys if nothing else. generally they will all be driven by a 9v battery or a couple of 1.5v's but they add weight, and the life of the motor will probably be dramatically shortened if you use incorrect voltage/amperage. best idea is to work out what motor you need from what you need it to power and then work out the circuitry so you provide the proper voltage/wattage. i don't know much about it but you'll probably find the motors will have the voltage/wattage written on them or on the packet if you buy them. if you need any help wiring it up just ask. just remember the simple principle that you have one end of the battery connected to the positive on the motor and the other end connected to the negative or just to the outter metal casing. its doesn't matter what end. if you put the battery in the other way the motor will spin the other way. 3) The verticle spinning shaft gear isn't connected to anything, that'll make it difficult to move inside the beam since it'll be grinding along the bottom and will lose power. How can I fix this? could be difficult, but bearings are your best bet. if you can find some really small cheap ones in an old toy or at a shop or something it would be good. otherwise just cut a hole in something and stick it in there and have it driving through the hole. should work good enough. 4) What can I use as gears? I've tried straws since they were handily near and were light, but no dice, they don't spin easily. gears are in about every moving toy available. also there are Lego ones you could consider. should be able to buy them for almost free small plastic ones. 5) What should I use to support the whole project on top of the boat? I'd imagine some improvised beams like straws that're glued to the boat. plastic maybe better then straws would be good. make it strong and light, and put it in intelligently, you could sue the strongest substance known to man but if its in in all the wrong ways it wont support your water, which is very heavy in comparison to your projects size. 6) What should I use to reinforce the ship? Aluminum Foil is quite flimsy but it's also altered easily to allow things to be built. I was thinking of putting straws on the edges so that there's a foundation on it. good idea with straws. maybe also tooth picks or something stronger that wont bend for a frame. EDIT: wasn't finished writing and hit submit instead of preview lol. anyway, i love to see people make these kind of things. something that challenges them and makes them have to design something that you don't just do in 3 minutes. i made a similar thing a while ago out of mecano. i used ice cream containers cut and hot glued together for the hull/water proofing. it was driven by an electric motor and had a ton of led's lighting it up lol. was way to heavy to float though and it leaked where motor drove propeller. thats why i recommend going over the hull and not breaching it. ill post a pic one day maybe have fun!
  15. i used to do that exact same thing! \

happens sometimes. remember when i was young and probably still now once you see it, it starts hurting or stinging if its bad enough. you wish you never saw it until it had healed lol
  17. ide enjoy life until i end up getting some illness from rats in the gutters or something and die. either that or ide get a job, but ide still have to enjoy life at the same time.
  18. if its a flaw, im shy, but i dont find it a flaw, it who i am. it has its advantages to -i get to see all sides of things generally, i dont instantly get opinions on things. -i am alot more intelligent then i think i would have been if i wasn't shy. school is a lot easyiser to pass without people to distract you by talking to, especially in the earlier school years, where i was most shy, and it probably most counts understanding school. its easier to learn to talk and learn basic maths and stuff when your younger. it also helps me understand alot more difficult things now having the experience. im socially scarred for the rest of my life, but Ive been given the gift of patience which has lead to intelligence. being shy rocks! \ as long as people understand your shy and don't treat you as a [developmentally delayed] or some weird unusual kid. those people have no idea
  19. not much really. at least i have a backyard though, and don't live in the bloody city. i live in a small town in country Victoria, Australia. i couldn't stand living in a polluted stink hole full of gang violence with no room for yourself and every other [puncture] staring over your fence and complaining about what your doing or the noise your making. im was born a country boy, ill live a country boy, and im dam sure im going to die a country boy. you will never see me live in a major city, and you will never see me in a old farts home. i couldnt stand it. the one my grandpas in is a good one on the scale of retirement homes, and on the scale of life it terrible. imagine sitting there everyday watching tv bored, taking you pills, and then moving down the the dinner room for the daily event of dinner, getting trapped in the road block of walking frames while you try to park your darn frame and old farts walking at 1 mile an hour smiling and staring at every visitor that walks past. there no way im living like that, ever. ill be 6ft under before anyone gets me to live like that. its terrible. back on topic. some of the photos Ive seen here have been beautiful
  20. those spuds look so delicious! i love spuds, best food ever!

i dont remember dreams much but when i do they are recurring, eg ill have a couple of days in a row where i dream the same thing each night. sometimes in reality i get a strange feeling to. like whats happening around me i have already experienced in a dream. im not sure if i know whats going to happen next but i feel like Ive seen and heard it all before. it is really freaky. it only lasts for a few seconds. like someone talking to someone and they say something and that sentence just clicks, and you get that 'ive been here before' feeling. haven't had that feeling for ages. know i have had it a couple of times but i cant remember either, what i was doing or anything. either it was to long ago or i was just dreaming that i have already seen whats happening in my dream in a dream inside that dream does anyone else ever get this? im the last person to beleive in mind reading and that kind of crap, i defiantly feel like i have dreampt it before.
  22. that is way to far
  23. the wheel. its the basic thing that is required for most other inventions after it that made our life easier.
  24. :o didn't expect to see this topic being so popular. wrong. scientists estimate it to be atleast 93 billion light years across. they also believe it to be growing constantly, which they have figured out (as far as i know) by measuring distances to other places long distances away, and measuring the distance again later. they found the distance to be increasing, therefor the universe must be expanding. this supports the big bang theory. the universe is still 'exploding' (expanding) continually from the big bang eventually it will expand so much that there is insufficient heat per space ratio remaining to support life. if nothing else kills us, that's what will. as for traveling to other already existing life supporting planets i dont think it would happen. if the universe is 93 billion light years wide and the planet is half way across the universe from us, that's at least 46.5 billion years before we could reach it, even more with the universe expanding constantly assuming females cant produce children after the age of 50 on average (im averaging it) it would take 930 million generations of people before we reached it if we kept reproducing on the way there and telling our kids what where doing and where were heading. now I'm very sure that we would fall well short of 930 million generations due to inbreeding, even if we did somehow manage to create a ship that could supply water, heat and everything else for 930 million generations of people and make them travel at the speed of light the entire way unless we find another planet we can inhabit that is very close then that cant be an option. my opinion: we will kill ourselves in some way. global warming, over population, the bird flu or whatever, it will be originally caused or expanded to be a problem by us and it will kill us before any sun dying or universe expanding does.
  25. ok recently got an ipod nano 3g, works great and all is going well. only found one problem, it wont play a certain song (i only relised by accident otherwise i problem wouldn't have ever found out lol). when i try to play it it skips to the next song. -Its plays in itunes fine -I have tryed converting to AAC in itunes and re-syncing but didnt work still -ipods firmware is up-to-date -had same problem with another song but was fixed by resetting ipod (toggle hold button, hold down menu and center button for 6 seconds). this one however doesn't play no matter how many times i reset here is the file details (from itunes): Kind: AAC audio file Size: 3.5mb BitRate: 128kbps Sample Rate: 44.100 khz Profile: low complexity (whats this if anyone knows???)
