Things that cause you to question
I think mine have already been posted, but anyway. Time and Space, what are they? There is nothing to compare them to so its impossible to imagine what they are. also as mentioned when i was younger, if i was color blind when i was born would anyone be able to tell. like if i saw red as blue but i had for my entire life and i was taught that what i was seeing was red, then i would call blue red.

Blank Dvd disks are not working in my...
i would first try and update the firmware of your drive. if that doesnt work i would switch dvds. note that the brand of the DVD means nothing. all dvds are made in a few factory's across the world in japan/Singapore/china etc. they are then put in separate packaging and sold under many different brands. the quality of the disc is all about who made it, and how good they make them. for example, CMC Magnetics produces discs that are sold by HP, Imation, Memorex, Philips, TDK, Verbatim, Staples, Office Depot and more brands. CMC media is one of the worst quality you can get, and should be avoided like cancer. I did have a page that had a list of a ton of brands of disc and who manufactures them, but i cant find it.

NEED SERIOUS HELP WITH YOUTUBE PROBLEM!
exactly. use windows movie maker to make a slideshow of all the pictures and then upload the movie file to youtube. I think you will find that that slideshow you have made is made in flash and just imports the pictures you uploaded. its not a movie itself, it just looks like one.

What's this?
open notepad type in the following code (assuming your using the folder in the pic, otherwise change it to the right one) cd C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Desktop\This isnt good dir pause click file > save as navigate to somewhere you want it to save that you can remember (such as your desktop) and save it as something.bat, or anything with a .bat at the end (batch file) in the save as type box, make sure all files is selected click save close the file in notepad navigate to where you saved it and double click it. allow it to run if any security messages pop up etc dont have the window selected when you press a key or you will have to run it again (even though that wont matter) It will list all the contents of that directory in a command prompt window thingy like these shown below: A folder will look like this: 19/09/2008 01:40 PM Date^ Time^ A file will look like this: 19/09/2008 01:40 PM 697 anotherFile.txt Date^ Time^ 697_bytes_in_size^ file_name(anotherFile.txt)^ if there is nothing listed then i don't know what is going on. PS sorry for such the nooby in-depth instructions. i don't want to have to re-explain it later because you didnt understand something.

Bubble Wrapping Kids
read the first post and it will all make sense. This kid your talking about may be everything you say he is, but that's no reason to post about him all over the net. he didn't do anything that effected you really, so why are you wasting your time putting him down. find something better to do. I know people i feel the same way about, but i don't post about them and go around attacking them. its just stupid and there's no reason to do it. You don't have to like the kid, but leave him alone, please.

Your Opinion
tattoos if you want them. i don't have a problem with them, but i wouldn't have one myself. As for hair, i dont have a problem with that either but i would personally prefer to have short hair (like i do) mainly because long hair would be a huge inconvenience.

what fun things can i use my computer/internet for?
http://board.flashkit.com/board/ download either the flash 8 or flash CS3 trial version (lasts 30 days). AS2 (Flash 8 or CS3) is easier to learn in my opinion. AS3 (CS3) has more advantages but is more time consuming and a lot harder to learn. google flash tutorials.

Virus From A .PDF?
possible but unlikely. you should always run a scan on anything you download from torrents anyway, so that should tell you.

mp3 files...
for memory there are quite a few problems with mp3's and windows movie maker. however if you cant play them in media player its most likely a codec problem

A silly noob asks silly computer questions.
*The desktop thing: just press alt+tab and have something in the background. you could also press the windows button. Its best to have the game running at the same resolution to windows for quicker changing. it is not recommended though and can crash the game/computer, so save regularly. - It says I have Duo Core 2.00GHZ, does that mean I have 2 processors? And does that also mean 2 processors at 2.00 GHZ, I have 4.00GHZ? Or what? Whats the difference between One and Duo Cores? You have a single (1) duel core processor. It does not mean you you have 2 processors and it does NOT run at 4.00GHz, its alot faster at processing than a single core, but is still a bit slower than having 2 separate processors in you computer. basically a duel core processor can do 2 things at once. it can work out the answer to 6+1 and 2+9 (for example) at the same time, where as a single core processor would work one out, and then work the other out. heres a good link: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-dual- ... cessor.htm - For my graphic card it says I have 256MB Dedicated Video Memory and 1151MB Shared Video Memory. Whats the Difference between the two and how do I turn the 1151MB on (I don't think it is) You have 256mb of memory physically built into the graphics chip in your computer box. The 1151mb of memory is your system ram, which is attached to your motherboard inside your computer. Dont worry about turning it on. * How do I increase my Frame Rate in Games? reduce your screen resolution. If it doesnt work post exactly what settings of everything you are using and someone will help you. * Is it possible to install a game on a flash drive (or a blank disk), then plug it in and play without it being on the computer? Yes it is. Most modern games however will not work. not only because reading the data from a flash drive would create lag, but they use the windows registry. if you wanted it to work you would ahve to take a reg file with you and install it everywhere before playing. you would need admin privileges to do so, so doing it on school computers etc wouldn't happen. There are cracked version of games available on the internet that will work, but they are pirated and cant be discussed on these forums (so dont ask how to get pirated copy's!), im not sure if we are allowed to discuss how to get cracks and crack your own legal version or not. * Does anybody knows a good anti-virus like Norton but Free? My free trial will run out soon :). AVG free. http://free.avg.com/ * Does installing lots of games on my harddrive (i have 100 of 250 GB left) make my computer run any slower if I dont even start those games? Yes. it will take longer for your hard drive to access information if its clattered in between all sorts of other data. defragging helps, but nothing beats removing it and then defragging. * I'm sure you guys are knowledgable, could you please reccomend me some usefull programs (anything from alarm clocks, to downloads mamanger or just whatever) If your on IE, toss it and get firefox. There are alot of free addons that can do all sorts of things for it (download managers and more) Install a spyware remover such as ad aware and delete all the junk from your pc that could be slowing it down. Feel free to ask any questions you wish!

9/11 7 years later
get over it anyway, i remember waking up and turning on the tv and it was on (im in australia so it had already happened a few hours earlier) and watched it all morning and watched the towers collapse till i had tog o to school. at school (i was in 3rd grade) it felt different, everything was strange. everyone was running round saying "its so cool seeing them towers fall" and stuff like little inmature kids do, not relising all the people inside. but anyway it was 7 years ago. people need to get over it.

Recovering data from Motorolla RAZR
if the bootloader is still working that's the most important thing. if it isn't it basically means your phone is bricked and is just a pile of wires, silicon and other components that mean nothing. luckily yours is, so it is very possible to get the data from your phone. goto this (click me) page and select the forum there that is your phone model and register if required and post a topic on it and you will get some help.

Your favorite website? and the one you find the most stupid
google.com answers so many questions

Recovering data from Motorolla RAZR
yes as long as the phone is still intact and boots i believe it would be possible, even if it doesn't boot to the menu. dont take ym word on that though. i also have a razr which i decided a few weeks ago to start modding (seeing as the warranty has long ran out and its not really a good phone anymore, i don't care if i wreck it). this website helped me alot with modding (the getting connected bit is probably most relevant to you) this forum is full of moto modding nerds that will most likely be happy to help you (dont ask me i havnt posted there, but they seem friendly enough). They are probably the best place to go and ask. also try turning your phone off. once its off hold down the * and # keys and hold the power button until it turns on. it should come up with a bootloader screen (press power button again to exit it). if it doesn't thats not so good. I have heard though that older bootloaders have a bug where they dont display anything even though they are working, so don't give up. If it does come up then you can almost certainly get the data from your phone. As i said, ask the people in that forum i posted and good luck! EDIT: fixed link

New New Nano
i have a 3rd gen nano that im happy with. i haven't had any problems. Some people say they look [cabbage] and are to brickish, but they arn't that bad. they just the right size if you ask me. the clickwheel could have been a bit bigger that's my only concern. these new nano's look terrible though. there's no way im going to get one of them.

Paper Bridge
according to the first post: it must hold 105kg and can be made with a maximum of 105kg of materials. that's a big bridge if you ask me. maybe it was 105 grams?

satan and sin, discuss
i don't really understand your question. I understand the friend at a table bit, but not the Satan and sin question. anyway, Satan is just a made up being.

Motor Bikes
any real brand. honda, yamaha, kawasaki, suzuki etc. DO NOT, i repeate DO NOT buy them cheap Chinese copy's of real brand that are all over ebay for prices way below real brands. they are cheap and work but they are of low quality and you will end up spending more than the price of a real bike by the time you pay for parts, thats if you can even get parts for some of them chinese copys. Real brands on the other hand have genuine and quality aftermarket parts for almost every replaceable component (ie everything except the frame, cylinder block and head, and crankcase, as well as some other ones) which are usually of decent prices (i said usually, depends where you get them and what it is). You will barely never need to replace anything on it anyway with a real brand except for the chain and sprockets (the chain will last for almost ever if you get an o-ring one aswell), cleaning (or replacing if you want to waste your money) the air filter and changing the oil. Also if you or your uncle or anyone has any knowledge of how to turn a spanner, i recommend you do all the servicing yourself. It is all very easy for simple things like changing oil or replacing the chain. If you don't have any idea what your doing though, either get someone who does to help you (preferably, you learn that way) or get someone else to do it. Keep the bike well maintained and it will last for years! like my little 1999 honda xr70 which i have way outgrown for about 5 years, and still runs like a dream despite me thrashing it around to this day. it has only required: -regular oil changes -regular air filter cleans -2 new chains and sprocket sets -my dad had to reweld the swing arm joint a few times due to it not being a real joint (just a bolt) because its such a small bike, me being probably twice the weight limit it says you have to be under, and the way i treat it (i don't cruise around looking at the scenery, thats boring) -a rebuilt front suspension strut (again related to my treatment of it and me being way to big for the bike) because it got an oil leak Basicly a good brand bike (like mine) will last forever if treated decently (i could have treated it better, but i didn't treat it that bad) and serviced regularly. I had a friend who bought a 125 chinese copy bike and its broken/worn out beyond repair. He bought it in about 2004 (brand new from factory) and it was had it by about 2005/2006. My bike has had the same treatment (if not worse, seeing as I'm so much to big for it) as his did and has been going solid (and still is) for 9 (almost 10) years. Sorry for the long post. i probably went over the same thing several times, but i really wanted to stress the point.

Government conspiracies
true. that consiricy about 9-11 is so not true. sinze when did it mean a bomb exploded when a building pancakes down. whatever i saw about it years ago said basically that the heat from the burning jet fuel, weakened structure due to plane impact and poor quality/lack of fire proofing resulted in the bucking of the structure due to the huge weight above it. basically a floor collapsed due to these bad conditions, which landed on the floor below. that massive hit from the entire building above landing on this one floor and the other factors made that floor collapse, which landed on the below floor, and the next one, and so on...

Paper Bridge
you get twice as wet because you fall in the river as well

Paper Bridge
only if the bridge has to cover a long distance, otherwise a bridge like the one i posted above would probably be better. a suspension bridge is still a very good bridge though.

Paper Bridge
heres another pic of the bridge stilev posted: [hide=another pic][/hide] after seeing that pic I'm also interested in building a toothpick bridge. i looked further into the page where that picture was and it was designed with 4 beams that have a special curve (explained below) with struts connecting them. The lower beams are tilted inwards looking at the pictures, most likely so they can push the weight coming from the struts above them into thye other lower beam, effectively canceling it out (like when 2 people with even strength pull a rope in opposite directions, the rope doesn't move. the force was canceled out by the other persons opposite force). I have drawn a terribly picture in paint in a pathetic attempt to explain it: [hide=basic structure] Black Lines = lower beams red Lines = upper beams green lines = struts (diffrent shades for diffrent sides. Notice how they are placed to create a triangle formation, not straight up and down) Teal (light greenly blue) lines = struts connecting 2 upper beams (to help prevent them from separating outwards away from each otherand the bridge flattening. These are the only ones that are being forced apart i think, instead of being 'squashed' or compressed) Purple Arrows = the force from the upper beams holding the load going down the vertical struts into the lower beams and canceling each other out partly due to the tilt of the lower beams (not completely but partially canceling each other out. if the lower beams were directly facing each other it would fully cancel out, but they arnt) PLEASE NOTE: the lower beams, although it doesn't look it, are not laying flat. ie if you measured from the ground to the lower beams at the center of the bridge, it would not be 0 (touching the ground). if you done the same at each end, they would be 0 (touching the ground)[/hide] Now to explain the curve of the beams. imagine i had a peice of string and tied one end to the top of a pole, and the other end to the top of another pole which is exactly the same height (assuming this is all done on a level ground). Now imagine the length of the string is longer than the distance between the 2 poles. The string would sag in the middle towards the ground due to gravity. The curve of the beams is exactly the same curve the string would have, except turned upside down (imagine gravity was the sky, the string wouldn't sag down, it would sag up towards the sky) You can read more about that bridge pictured at the top of this post here. You can read about the algebra required to calculate the curve here I hope i have helped. I certainly think this bridge design would be very strong, and im going to attempt to make one from toothpicks for fun.
