What do you think will end the human race?
I was just read the topic by riku3220 about the pandemic game and it got me thinking. What do you think will end the human race, and when will it happen? I found a wikipedia article on it and i tried to list the good ones, but they are all to interesting, so just read the article  personally i think our clossest threat is a pandemic, followed closely by climate change. discuss

flash game and discussion
i dont think the game is sped up much at all i saw i show a while back about bird flu coming from chicken farms in the middle east. apperently the UN has a special emergency group of people that are there incase it is found in chickens, so the chickens can be destroyed before it can develop into a human flu. they done a computer modeling thing of it spreading, and for memory once it reached the us (they didnt do it on other countrys, just the us i think) it had spread across half the country in days (via airports, roads and all that stuff) and the entire country was infected in less than a month. this is just my memory. im going to do some googlin now see if i can find some mroe info lol

More than 1 Graphics Card?
dont think your getting a card to play crysis for 50$ crysis is a high end game and very poorly optimized, so takes a big rig to run it on high.

my mp3/mp4 sucks! and it is locked help me!
lol looks like they did if you gte another look on the apple site, they have reconditioned ones that have been back to them for warranty for some reason and they have fixed them and tested them again. they are ment to be as good as new (if not better, because they get tested twice) and are alot cheaper.

What computer? Programs/tasks to get rid of? Java compiler?
that's what i would do. if your not using the computer anymore theres no files or anything you have to backup (that you wont have to anyway when switching to your new computer), so i would just reformat. probably quickest and most accurate way of doing it. also already been said alot, dont buy a mac or alienware (rip off)

How to stop RuneScape's new graphics lag once and for all!
good guide. one thing: when blowing out case with the air, put a pencil or something to jam the fan so that when you blow on it it doesn't spin up. if it spins hard enough it could cause damage (unlikely but possible, dont risk it. everyone has a pencil or pen right?)

anti-aliasing
just because i can im going to remind you that you dont actually have a graphics card. the graphic proccessing powers of your computer are built in to your motherboard.

Downloading problems
in uTorrent clikc options > preferences > Bittorrent (In side bar bit) > and at the bottom ensure protocol encryption is enabled. also be sure there is a green tick on the bar at the bottom of the bittorrent window. if there's a red or orange cross or something your ports are not forwarded properly. visit portforward.com if theres any problems there. also if this is only occurring on 1 torrent try another, it may just be a dead torrent.

Active classic accounts.
yes mine still is (but just!) My previous account was hacked and stolen, and i created my new account, Thrash Boy, about 1 week before rs2 release. I only got to about level 7 combat lol and rs2 came out, so my classic account will be about level 7, with hardly any stats above probably level 6. luckily i had logged on a month or so before the date that they stopped allowing new rsc accounts, so i could still play. i cant post a stat picture because i no longer play rs and don't have members, so i cant log on to get one! add me igf you want, just incase i start playing again (if i ever do, i wont bother trying to start rs2 again, it will be classic). chances are i wont though.

Another Screen of Death?
lol. get a themometer if you dont have one and measure the temp around your gpu. if it has temp censors there may be programs that could tell you the temp but probably not as accurately.

How do i find what my PC card is?
lol you dont sound like you know much about computers. anyway, 4CPU processor? do you mean a quad core? i dont think quad cores were around 4 years ago or whenever you said, especially stock in packard bells. I have a Packard bell, about the same age as yours, and only has a Pentium 4. the thing i really wanted to say is that 64mb your talking about means 64mb of memory (RAM) for your graphics, it has nothing to do with what you save on your computer, that is stored on your hard drive. An easy way i like to explain it is imagine i asked you an equation, lets say (6*4)+(3-1)+64. now i can bet unless your really smart you wouldn't just look at that and work it out in one go. you most likely would first work out 6*4 (24), then 3-1 (2), and then add 24 and 2 together, and then add 64 to get the answer. to do that when working out (processing) 3-1, or anything after that, you would have to remember the answer to 6*4 (24). that's all done naturally in your head as a human, but a computer has a special thing called RAM (Random access memory), that it saves information to while it is working out (processing) other information, without forgetting it. It saves it here instead of the hard drive because it is a lot quicker and more efficient. the 64mb of ram your talking about is used by your graphics hardware to remember things while it is processing other information to display on your screen. It is separate from your system ram (which your computer uses to remember things while processing). Whenever you turn your computer off, all the electronic information stored within your RAM (as well as the ram for your graphics) is lost, it is not designed to stay there, that's what your hard drive is for. the point: don't mistake ram (random access memory) for how much space your hard drive has. its a common mistake many people make. I hope you enjoyed, and more importantly understood, my big long lesson :D . everyone else could probably explain it alot quicker though, i just like making things long.

I have a few questions regarding a PSU...
a $40 400w PSU doesnt sound like very good quality to me. just as others mentioned, you should get a better quality one, it is the most importand part of your system, and probably the one most likely to fail under normal use. i read somewhere a while ago someone did a test with a really good 300w PSU and a generic cheap 1000w PSU and the 300w preformed better, which isnt a suprise. there is more to PSU's than just wattage. you should also pay good attention to brand (quality) and amps especially on 12v rails.

Building my own computer?
try this: http://www.google.com.au/search?q=how+t ... n+computer also im dont know much but i can give you some info i have found over my time. your processor/video (graphics) card/sound card (if appliciable)/ram and any other card you put in have to be compatible with your mother board. for cards (graphics/sound/any other card) it usually means does your mother board have the correct slot type (eg if the card is a pci-e card, the motherboard needs a pci-e slot) for ram its what type of ram the motherboard supports (eg DDR / DDR2 / DDR3). for some motherboards you must have 2 or 4 (maybe even 6) sticks of ram in at once, eg if you put one stick in you must put another stick in another slot (hard to explain). 32-bit OS's only support like 3. something gig of ram though, so dont have like 5 gig if you only have a 32 bit OS, waste of money! there is also a maximum amount of ram a motherboard can support to i think, not sure though. im dont know much about proccessor compatibility, except i think they come in 32 bit or 64 bit types, and you need the right one for your OS (correct me if im wrong) also dont overlook your PSU (power supply). its technically the most crucial part to keep your computer working lol. and ill just mention know what your doing before you put anything together. wear anti-static wrist bands and dont touch components if unnecessary. hope that got you off to a start!
