  1. And I took it on the rear. Can't Jagex learn to add. I have 4.6k tickets yet it says I only played 1057 games.. :wall: They must not have counted the two golds in my poh. I can prove 2.3k games and I have lost more than won so I should have that pro cape. Dam you Jagex! Awesome update, but dam you for robbing me, suck on my bug report!
  2. Yeah, but that was ages ago when this was still planned as an activity. Currently, it's not an activity. It's a skill. If you think Castle Wars can be a successful skill, you're wrong. There is no definition of a runescape skill. Dungeoneering(for ****'s SAKE the name....) is, in many ways, alot differant to all the other skills, but is it really a bad thing? I hate agility and runecrafting. Hate them. But the fact is, remarkably, i don't have to train skills i hate. Dungeoneering is a skill, and if you don't like it, don't train it. If you don't like the team aspect of the game, you can solo(some people train fm on maple/willow). If your stats are too low to gain meaningful experiance, it's certainly not jagex'es fault, as they have done everything to make all the skills kiddishly easy. If castle wars was a skill, i'd suffer to train it up to ~80 and stop. Also, it's funny looking at people prematurely saying that a skill is unsuccesful, farming really sucks, doesn't it? Actually farming does suck. Its like a job. You have to mind a clock like your at work. You can't just pick it up whenever and train the hell out of it till your bored. Oh and Vinesweeper is like solo dungeoneering but less fun and alot less xp. Oh and did I mention that its the most expensive skill to train nowadays...
  3. Stopped at 70. I like it, but it seems like a waste to do it now when they are adding like the other half of the skill soon. So its seems your in danger of doing things now and 2 months down the road you could have done them in 1/2 the time or even less.
  4. 36k/hr. Never was much into efficiency.
  5. Yeah, I know you and your summer bug watching. :P

  6. Where did you read this? I don't see it. I call bs. Jagex always caters to low end high mobility games that suite the largest variety of people. I would look for them to make runescape work on those internet capable mobile phone/computer things. But, thats as exotic as it will get. I don't think you'll ever see RS come in dvds you buy at the store and need nvidia 1gb+ graphic gards.
  7. Cost matters when you don't have that much money, like well most players (me included).
  8. Its better than farming the skill or the mmorpg concept. It gets annoying at times though. I just got 99 yesterday after 5 years at it (where I was 85 in the first year) lol. I won't be training it anymore I think. I need to come up with a better way to get charms. Slayer's biggest drawback is the lack of charms.
  9. Oh and btw the I got black and red cape that you always wear finally after 5 years of procrastination.

  10. No.

Still not over it, but dungeoneering helps.

  11. MM was harder in the old days (05). Most people where low level when they tried it. So, they didn't have a whip (it cost too much). Didn't have high prayer, alot didn't even have it enough for pro melee because of the hugh pain-in-the-rear ectofunctus thing. Also, this was before the agility nerf so even someboday with 99 agility had there run cut out far before people with lvl1 agility today and there was no sitting. So, you had a lvl50-70s in rune with no prayer a dlong, an antipoison pot, and some lobbies trying to walk through half the dungeon at least several times and then go kill that big demon. Yeah, so it wasn't that easy, seen lots of people die.
  12. I am guilty of a few I suppose. I bookmarked this as my way into tipit, because it would take to long to find this and I don't want 2 bookmarks on my list. So I usually load your page but then click away. :P

  13. So here's the real discussion: what did you expect of the game when you first started out? What did you want, what did you think, what was fun for you? I just wanted a game to play in my free time. As I progressed I found my success made me hungry for glory and that sense of eliteness. Now compare that to today. What are you doing on a normal day today? What feelings do you have for the game now, and what feelings do you have when logging in? How does that compare to when you were first starting your adventures in RuneScape? Once I reached the pinnacle, I found that Jagex no longer supported me. There was no end game content, my combat was stuck at 126, and over the years many more people became maxed so I was no longer elite. I just played castle wars for years and I have quit on and off and tried other games. Nowadays I am back to finish what I started. I am skilling so to speak. Some parts of the game bring nostalgia and comfort, others are new and somewhat foriegn. It angers me when old parts of the game are written over to make things attractive for new players. (think hp update)
  14. All three of people pictured could be sucessfull. A noob slayer is one who half kills monsters and leaves it for others to finish. A noob slayer is one who steals kills in multi or crowds you out of your spot in single. I am a noob slayer.
  15. I only know old school pkers. Fear figments last lullaby was the only truly great pking video. Hiei the pk's were okay, he was crazy good or lucky depending on how you look at it. Used to have a pic somewhere of me smoking him 1 on 1 in castle wars somewhere. :-P No idea who is good nowadays, i think pvp equips/claws kinda ruined it for me.
  16. Here is the list of priorities Jagex should have. Finish dungeoneering. Make more quests. . Finish runecrafting. . . . Redo the graphics on the leprachauns again. . . Fiddle with the summoning interface again. . . . . Make updates for the non-players. (your suggestion goes here)
  17. I'd try out no trade, DIY worlds with their own high scores. But, more than likely I would just stick to this one because frankly after the novelty wears off your new character, then you realize the insane amount of work you have to put into it to equal your main. Or at least in my case. :)
  18. Choatic Kiteshield is the worst of the bunch. No strength bonus just kills it compared to DFS. Eagle Eye is mediocre. I'd rather get a spiritual shield with no additional melee penalties since I already use arma with its penalties. Range damage soak isn't that great. Tough ranging monsters are rare outside of dungeoneering. Farseer shield is unqiue one of the bunch. Its arcane shield with with some damage soak in right catagories. I'd like that and then replace ahrim top/hood with verac brassy/helm and get that new prayer. Thats alot of melee/range def on a mage that could still hit tier 2 magic defense easily.
  19. I can't be bothered with the lastest fads. No twitter, facebook, or this ftw.
  20. You can't show mining gear without varrock armour. You do realize that its effect works here too.
  21. No pic no proof. This thread reaks of a fishing expedition to get people to come to well known cheat sites. The only benefits I ever recieved from people botting was my silver crown with the "P" in the middle and the satisfaction of ruining somebody's little party.
  22. Mine doesn't even work. And wasn't it 3D before too? he means 3d with those 3d glasses: This would be the dumbest thing ever in the history of RS. 3D glasses are guaranteed to give you a headache and wear the crap out of your eyes. 3D "technology" has been out in movies since the 50s and invented like 100 years ago. The last incarnation was in the late 70s when I was a little kid. (that stupid meteor movie with shawn connery, JAWs...) The only question is how clueless the newest generation is if "3D" finally catches on. Unbelievable, just play the dam rick aston song...
  23. Seems like a waste of time to train dungeoneering now when the xp rate is going to double or triple this year alone. Leave it to Jagex to half [wagon] this like all the other new skills since construction. Put something out that there that is incomplete or stinks and then take a year or two to make it better.
  24. Rapier or maul. Whip/Godsword already do slash. Rapier would be great for dragons, maul would be great on waterfiends. Personally, I'm sweet on shields more than the weapons. I can see lots of uses for each one of them, but I'm in no rush to get them since its almost a waste of time now that Jagex announced two more sets of floors coming this year. That will be like at least 18 more floors and probably 2x to 3x the xp rate. I'll just finish all the old skills until the update.
  25. 99 already??? Calling shared account right now. Could it be any more obvious on a skill thats like 10-20k an hr tops. Grats team skiller.
