Runecrafting to be the top trained Skill for 2008?...
I think Jagex will fix the trade thing for rune running because they recognize how important it is to the game and even made specific worlds for air and law running. I doubt they'll just end it after the trade update.

Is it really possible to quit?
Lol, I actually just took Roller Coaster Tycoon Extension pack out two days ago because the internet was down :-$ Haahaa, it's still fun  There have been people who quit rs before and good for them, but most people can't leave because Jagex is always spitting out new things in this game and when you don't like one thing, they'll go ahead and update the game with ten new things you like. They are really trying to make costumer satisfaction a top priority so that people who enjoyed the game at one point will continue enjoying the game.

P2P VS. F2P--- Greediness
I think it has a lot to do with the maturity level of p2pers vs. f2pers. Because you have to pay in p2p, you will usually be more mature, henceforth not taking unneeded money. Also, in f2p, you have a couple times more people playing and much lower levels who want more than they could probably even take.

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
That is a VERY VERY VERY good idea :) Well said =D> I think this is something we can all agree on.

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
I prefer the Jagex idea. If combat lvl was also included in a factor, bots might have a slim chance of coming back. Also it would be unfair to lower lvls and skillers... Right now its unfair to quest haters (ME) and everyone by resticting our abilites to interact. Its unfair to noobs not to let them us whips, then with the same logic. If you are more powerful, more involved you should get more accesses. So you're saying the world revolves around people who hate quests? Once again, I bring up the point that skillers will lose out if we were to abide by your rule. As to your "you get more stuff if you're more powerful", what about the people who chop millions of magic logs instead of leveling combat, do they not deserve anything valuable? That is completely unfair in my opinion. The game does not revolve solely around combat. However, in your defense, it does not revolve completely around quests either. I think the reason why Jagex put the rule for quests is because they are easily doable by anyone and a lot of people do a large amount of the quests for the good rewards. Plus, other than the quest cape and the rewards from doing the quests, people who do quests don't really have too much of a trophy to show off to the public and also they don't have too much of a reason to do the smaller ones. That is an utter and complete lie... It may be true to you because you view the world around you as if it revolved around you, but in reality, noob is a reference to the maturity of the person "noob" is being said to. Unless the other player is immature, then the term "noob" is usually unused. Another use of noob is by the immature people who can't have everything their way. On the other hand, the term "newb" (short for newbie) is usually used to people who have lower levels than the user of the term. So to me, newbs are level 60 and below. I guess to you a newb is 100 or below. However, I have never heard either term, "noob" or "newb" being used to criticize someone who has not played for two years. (I've personally played for 4 years) Well, it's New Year's Party Time! WOOOT! \ \ \ Happy New Year to you ;)

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
Ive never brought this on myself, Ive never bought any Autoed goods, Ive never bought RL cash. I used to be a player mod and I would report anyone that I knew to be autoing, in some cases mute them if it was clear. I would think a former moderator would have a better suggestion to cut of all trading abilities of players less then 100 combat level. Plus, you states earlier that this is a drastic change. Cutting trade for players less than 100 cb would also be a drastic change. Maybe not to you, but to others. And why would you mute autoers when they don't talk? Off topic: I won't respond for about an hour... I have to go get new glasses :D

You don't even have to look at the IPs. Just go to sites and directly ban the characters the people are selling. It's also pretty easy to track down people who play 24/7 and get to level 100 in under a week. Jagex does have the material to do that... The update hasnt happend yet, Just wait you will see the fallout. Ive already posted that once you hit lvl 100 the restrictions should be lifted, under that there should be a system to restrict trade. Although I think not as harsh as the one being created. And I've already posted that the skillers will be losing out. There are many people who are going for all 99s except for combat. So we should just ignore them? Jagex is trying to make everyone happy. I'm sorry if they don't only think of you when coming up with updates...

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
Um that's the worst suggestion I've EVER seen. Just letting you know I'm glad you aren't working for Jagex in the development department. Agreed. Do you know how many hardworking players there are in Runescape that are below level 100? What about those lvl 3 skillers? So they can't trade after they mine coal ores, yew logs, etc? And what about those noobs who want to make money with their flax picking? Yeah, it's not so easy coming up with new ideas. Like I said in my other post, Jagex has done a great job making the general public happy and they can't make everyone happy. You need to realize the world does not revolve around you... EDIT AGAIN: One more thing. It's not that hard for bots to get to lvl 100. Just have a program to kill minotaurs, etc until they're lvl 100. It's certainly faster than getting a lvl 100 with actual playing Exactly. Who's going to get 100 combat faster. A normal player who plays 2-3 hours a day. Or the bot owner who has 10 bots training around the clock? And it's not even fair, just because someone has a low combat lvl doesn't mean he/she is inferior to people who train combat more. Well there going to be making lvl 100 characters anyways. Once this trade thing is estabilished they will start character farming instead of gp farming. Then we will have even more problems. Two things... 1) Character farming is much easier to track down and = instant ban while gp farming is harder because you can't really track down every gp traded. 2) Most of the sites have already said that they are moving on with their lives and gave up rs farming. It was in another thread in this forum.

2007 Your Accomplishments?
Isn't this basically what the "Rate this" forum is for? As for me, I've achieved 99 wc  and around 10 combat lvls and brought all my lvls above 30, nonmember lvls above 44 Oh, and I went from below 3 mill to above 13.5m :D

Pure Essence
I think they should just make pure ess mineable (sp?) in f2p. It's just too much of a hit towards the game if they take pure ess out again.

Does Jagex think everyone to be a noob?
They have considered other options, but they obviously found this one to have the least affect on the game. Can't people learn to be grateful for once? All I hear these days are rants rants and more rants. Jagex is trying to make the game better in general. If you have a better idea, go ahead and suggest it to them and if it's good, they'll consider adding it to the game. Otherwise, just stop complaining and accept the update. Sure they will lose money with this update, but they've already considered the consequences. You can't make everyone happy and therefore they are willing to do this. Just realize that they had made money from those autoers because half of them were members. They are not stupid and are not throwing away their income for no reason. Give the game some time and you will see it prosper. As for the GE, just like the game, you need to give it time. Jagex already said that they'll add a system to allow you to highlight prices which you think unfair. Once again, if you have any suggestions, then go tell them. Otherwise, these rants are no help. Edit: To what you said above. they already are changing the game so that the max trade is determined by quests. That will allow a greater maximum trade value... And as the first response said, please just get over it -.-

God Prayers
Eh, I don't think so. There's already a mix of the three different gods in the prayer book. Zamorak = str + atk bonus, Sara = defense + protect prayer + healing, and Guthix = the newer prayers (forget their names since I can't use). I think that the prayers are fine as they are. A good variety of all the gods are implemented and none of the main ones are left out.

Runescape future #1 game?
Wow, I'm surprised by those statistics. I never really noticed how popular Runescape was and I'm definitely surprised by it being number 3. I was expecting around number 10, but obviously I'm wrong... I personally think that runescape will get a boost from this update. The community in Runescape will just be so much better without scammers at every corner, noobs begging for cash (3k's not too much anyways) and bots at ever streetcorner. I predict a flock to Runescape in the next half year after people accept the changes and understand how much it will benefit the game. I wish Runescape the best of luck in doing this and with constant update to make the gaming experience better, I would not be surprised if Runescape did become number 1 by the end of next year.

31 December 2007 - Unbalanced Trade Reminder
Wahhh, I can't find my friend to give him his belated Christmas Gift... oh well :( At least it's for a good cause. I hope he's happy with just a simple "Happy Holidays and Happy New Year" #-o

Unbalanced trades -> more f2p quest?
I don't think it's really necessary in f2p to make high amounts of unfair trade. Sure it will be unfair to f2p to not be able to merchant as much, but I guess that's just another limitation from not paying (ooo, I said it, sorry :() But otherwise, it has no real effect on other players other than letting friends borrow money, but Jagex said they will fix this issue by allowing friends to borrow items and return it when they log off. In conclusion, I doubt that they will have too many more f2p quests because there will not be too much benefit for f2p from it and the quests would be pointless reward-wise. However, if they were to give f2p new quests, they would most likely be brand new quests for f2p and p2p since there just aren't enough p2p quests that could be made f2p without introducing new skills or items.

December 2007s/Janurary 2008s Updates - The Effect On RWIT
I think the reason prices for sharks went down in the GE was because many people stopped pking, making less of a need for sharks, causing more supply than demand, however, I could be completely wrong on my theory. Overall, very well written. It's a shame that not many people understand Jagex's intentions the way you do. It takes maturity in order to understand when someone is trying to help you rather than hinder your progress. Overall, great updates and after the rants end and people move on, it will be more obvious that the update only helps to make a better in game community.

Monday Poll: How long will you wait to summon?
Depends if it's f2p or not

Did bots really help Runescape?
Actually, bots supplied raw material for the general public who didn't want to pay high prices for some simple items. However, now that they are gone, more f2p players will be coming back in order to help keep the flow of raw materials going. I've already seen an increase in the amount of people at the yews.
