  1. Who's to say I'm doing it for the money? My purpose in life is to help others, the fact that I get paid for it, is an added bonus. I would still work helping kids even if there wasn't a salary attached.
  2. Roast dinner 8-)
  3. In one week my brother nearly died of polychrondritus, my mum nearly died on the surgery table from pancreas in the wind pipe and my best friend died in a car accident. I know it says what happened to YOU (me) but I think if I twist the context a little, the emotions I went through, during that period, was the worst thing that's happened to me.
  4. You took the words right out of my mouth.
  5. I watched a documentary on it in my History class in year 12; I absolutely bawled my eyes out. I hate seeing things like that. I'm so glad you did this topic to bring awareness to others. I really respect you for that.
  6. The thing that makes me smile is that you can be going through all of this and still crack a joke here and there. That is fantastic Bubsa that even when things in life get you down, you can still find something to laugh about.
  7. Brunette with blonde streaks
  8. She brings new meaning to "keep talking sh*t about me, you're making me famous".
  9. You shouldn't be going "Hi, I'm Mel, I'm a Chav". That's not who you are, that's sticking a label on yourself. I've done my fair share of name calling, scribbling on public property, camping on private property, detentions, wearing offensive t-shirts, using foul language, spitting on the ground when it was the 'in' thing as disgusting as I think it is now and starting fights. You have to learn what life is about some how. Mistakes only make you who you are today. So far so good. I admit now I walk past and roll my eyes but I have to remember, if I can change, anyone else can. I remember how 'cool' I thought it was doing all that stuff compared to now. All you can do is look back and laugh.
  10. Everyone̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s done their fair share of stupid things in the past, they're what make us who we are today so don't regret them, embrace them. I've lost count how many times I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve seen people do 'stupid' stuff and I've thought to myself..."Man...That̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s stupid, why did I do that when I was your age". Sometimes you grow to learn, sometimes you don't. People can change. Through the ages of 13-17 I changed from a 'home girl' to a 'goth' to a 'raver'. You can stick labels on people but most of the time they're just phases. Sometimes they stick, sometimes they make you better people, sometimes they don't.
  11. My partner and I got back together which means the engagement is still on :D
  12. I'm not going to blow grass up anybodies bum. I'm here because I have nothing better to do
  13. Woo I knew you were a fellow hippy :P What a wonderful topic! I really enjoyed reading it, I remember a short activity my class did at the beginning of the year just to make a point. The task involved 120 students each in pairs. We were to come up with on the top of our heads, no dictionaries, Google, or any other help other than each other in an hour: 24 emotion/feeling words in the following categories: hurt 20 emotion/feeling words in the following categories: angry, embarrassed, fearful, energetic, sad, lonely, and belittled. 16 emotion/feeling words in the following categories: helpful, surprised. 12 emotion/feeling words in the following categories: loving 8 emotion/feeling words in the following categories: disgusted Sounds easy but try doing it, grab a piece of paper your friend, no help only each other and see how many you can come up with. It is actually extremely hard other than the commonly used emotion and feeling words people don't really have that big a vocabulary and understanding of other words to use to describe their emotions and feelings. Btw no group completed it in an hour. (if anyone actually does take the challenge and is baffled for the rest of the answers, pm me and i'll give them to you). I'm really looking forward to your next post.
