  1. Exactly. 1) i dont play much anyway. I think i last logged in 2 weeks ago? im making plans to sell everything i own. 2) if they deleted my account, they would just be doing for me what i havent done already. 3) i best get my money back. sure it might be contradictory to #2, but hell, i at least want my money back if i dont have anything to show for it... not that an online character in a game is much to show for anything.
  2. actually, i would have totally forgotten if I had not seen this post. i try to get on for all of the events, but with school and work, it does seem hard to find the time. A helpful reminder is always nice. can you be specific on the varrock one? i am having trouble finding that darn little turkey. its the last one i need. ::edit:: nevermind. I read it wrong, and thought east instead of west. thanks for the help! i found them all very quickly, except for the varrock one; but i will take the blame for that one, lol.
  3. So i assume you will be soloing so you can get all the pieces for the plate? 8/10 right now. 10/10 when you get the last piece and make it into a plate. Great drops so far though!
  4. Exactly. Before making the claim that the pots are better, you NEED to account into the fact of how much it takes to create/buy a pouch, how much the potion is per number of scrolls you can use in said time period, and the cost to get to the point to 88 summoning to use the unicorn, and at what point you stand to profit from unicorns rather than sharks (i.e.; how many summoning pots + scrolls + pouches do you need to use to offset the costs of getting 88 summoning and eventually start spending less than you would on sharks).
  5. how do you sleep? is it even necessary for lights in your room? I have to cover up my one light on my laptop when I shut it off that tells me it is plugged into the wall to get any sleep. You, on the other hand, produce more like than my local power plant could ever hope to produce. on the other hand, it is extremely cool.
  6. I have the same problem. I have school, a job, debate, and DECA; all of which take up a good portion of my time. If I have any free time, I am trying to catch up on Heroes and keep somewhat skilled in COD4 so I can hopefully pick up COD5 and move into that. Runescape is just an afterthought now, but i am still subscribed on my debit card. If I log in, it's once a week or less. I think I have been sitting at the zamarak area in GWD fighting mages for boots for the past week or so. I'm pretty sure I still have upwards of 12-14 full prayer pots left too.
  7. In this case, I was the random person making a weird experience. So let me lay it out for you. It's the first day of summer between sophomore and junior year. The day before we got out of school for the last half of the day because of the way we do our finals. So we had all hung out and decided we were going to do something on the first full day of school. We end up at my friends house and we realize we didn't plan anything to do. So what did we do? We got in his closet where he keeps verious costumes (he shoots a lot of films, so the costumes help) and we put them on. We have an orc costume, a warrior costume, a druid costume, and a dog costume. Needless to say, we put on the costumes and went to the local outdoor shopping center. It was a blast.
  8. Perfect! while we are at it, I think co-ed locker rooms are a good idea too. And since schools are sometimes upwards of 30 minutes away, unsupervised co-ed living quarters would be necessary even at the public level. And since most schools are probably underfunded, I think sharing beds is a good idea too. it saves money :D
  9. Actually, I am writing an oratory about this for my Debate tournaments. My main idea I am going to follow is the saying; "it's not that we didn't care, it's just that we didn't have time." I am going to make my main points as follows: 1) critique the education system 2) apply the blame 3) reform it. I don't have it fully written as of yet, but this is the main basis of my argument. The current system basically creates stagnation, or the cease of movement and growth. The system basically allows for the students to accept and expect the mass memorization of information, rather than the application of such information. The teachers are just as bad, they accept this as the form in which they portray their knowledge in the classroom, exceptions to the rule always happen of course. and we cant forget the administrators! should they not be pushing for reform, rather then being okay with the status quo and allowing this to happen in their schools? and finally, the government is to blame as well. NCLB and other mandates make it impossible to have a good learning environment. the reform would be giving students the power, not the teachers. Paulo Freire thought that the teaching system in which you give a student a "bank account" and the teacher is meant to fill it with information was the worst way. He pushed for another system in which the students were to reach a point to where they recognize connections between their individual problems and experiences and the social contexts in which they are embedded. in a sense, they use application of the real world in their education to get the most out of it. but now i have to expand upon that to make it 8-10 minutes when i recite it. blehh. but yeah, that is my main idea on education reform.

    1) 6 months ago, you should have thought about your financial options. Bills aren't paid whenever it is convenient. 1.5) next time, talk to your financial adviser on campus and get a loan or apply for federal grants/scholarships 2)go talk to your financial adviser NOW. They can help you set up a payment plan.
  11. on the original post, the pk that has like 396k worth + the dds in the inventory is what the 400+ in the title means. It is meant to say 400k+ nice pks. keep it up

  13. But many, like gnome ball, jungle clean up, and rogues den, are really old. They became obsolete. And many of the smallish updates are useful. The rogues den has a bank right next to an everburning fire. The jade vine can give a large boost to slayer if you can be bothered. The circus gives weekly FREE experience. Many updates may not seem that great, but can, in fact, have some small aspect that makes it unique and very useful. Similarly, we might say that Tears was a small update. Short, easy quest. Unlocks weekly minigame. Yawn. But wait! This minigame can give you experience in your least favorite/ least trained skill! Wowza! Now let's look at a decidedly BIG update. The GE. Yes, it streamlined trade and made the game a lot easier. But, a year later, it still has problems, some minor, some major. Just because an update is "big" doesn't make it good. Sometimes big things come in small packages. Sure, I can argue that communism is a great idea, but unless it actually WORKS, you have an executional failure on your hands. The same goes with what you are saying. Lets look at recent updates. Jade vine, Bork, sorceress's garden, circus, vinesweeper, trouble brewing, and others all had their time in the lime light, but how many people actually do these things daily/weekly? Having these things pushed weekly really wasn't providing much more than a few minigames no one really plays all that often. Getting these updates bi-weekly will hopefully get us better content than the aforementioned.
  14. I agree with you, but when I think about it, what are we really missing? The updates 75% of people complain about and at the same time get little to no use 2 weeks after the update? Examples include, but are not limited to: beacon network, blast furnace, circus, gnome delivery, gnome ball, jungle clean up, jade vine, and rogues den. The list goes on, but how many of us actually go to these weekly? bi-weekly? monthly? yearly? I just hope they keep up with all the little tweaks that are necessary to the game, while adding decent material in the process.
  15. Work in a restaurant. I am a busser monday-saturday and I work the sunday brunch buffet as a 'brunch runner'. 6.65+tips for bussing. Usually i can scrape together about 15/hour. the best i have gotten in a shift is 22.95/hour 9.50-10.50 (raise in a few weeks) for brunch running. i get about 6.5 hours of work doing this. Normally i work 24 hours a week or so. it's not that bad of a job. a little more than half of my hours come from working sunday, which is fine by me because i dont do anything on sunday anyway.
  16. Step 1: remove wilderness ditch OR remove ability to shoot over it. Step 2: Either remove all shrubbery, mining rocks, fences, and other barricades that you can shoot over OR remove the ability to shoot over it. I don't see why they should remove it. If they remove that, then people now can complain about every rock, shrub, fence, etc. that can be shot over.

I can't believe anyone would ban 1984 or Animal Farm; Animal Farm especially. Animal Farm is more of a satire if anything. It is meant to be a history piece, in an easy to read form. You can't actually believe that this book is to promote communism when it shows the obvious flaws and downfalls of the belief. Fahrenheit 451? Kind of ironic that it would be banned. "Let's ban a book that shows the stupidity and collapse of society if we were to ban books."
  18. Now? NPC's. 2 years ago? Smithers. I know for a fact that 1 smither supplied 10 people 100 sets a week, me being one of those 10. And that was just 1 smither, and he wasn't even on a lot compared to some other level 99 smithers at the time. Getting a discount on the sets and selling them for more was how i made my money 2 years ago, but now, I don't think it's even profitable to train with such methods. NPC's do drop a lot of rune, and if you can just think about all the people who are training combat/training slayer/doing clues, you could imagine how much rune is dropped.
  19. I fight with an AGS most of the time in PVP. I understand that people will safe when fighting me, that is my obstacle i have to overcome. I expect people to do the same for me when they are 99 att, 99 str, and 94+ mage and can use vengence. I ALWAYS safe on these kids. When I can hit a 50 w/o specing my ags, and they can hit a 45-50 with their whip, they just hit somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-85 damage when their veng goes off. WHY in gods name would i let my health get so low as to ko MYSELF? I dont eat at 85 hp, i dont eat at 60, but i wont let my health get much lower than 40. Skill still exists when playing this game. you need to decide when to whip out your dds and spec, you cant just expect the opportunity to arise 90% of the time because you want to kill someone. When I fight, i know that i have to wait for a big hit to spec on. You dont whittle down someone's hp with an AGS and expect them to not eat. You have to wait for a big natural hit, then go for the specs. The same goes with any other kind of weapon, but it just seems that people want that opportunity to happen all the time. The people who call others safers are the ones who cant fight. It's obvious they have no skill what-so-ever. [/jumps off soapbox]
  20. I really liked this girl from school. I liked her a lot. Whenever we were on a date or hanging out, I would hit her in the face somehow. Literally, every single time I was with her, she got hit in the face. We hung out a lot... In the park, she got hit with a Frisbee, a stick, a rock, and a volleyball. At the movies I hit her with my keys, a drink, and my arm i think. At her house (where we normally hung out) I hit her probably a good 5-8 times with this big ball she had. None of it was intentional nor did she have an abnormally large head. I think it was just a combo of my nervousness and her being unlucky as hell. I always found it funny tho. (we dated, she was a [bleep], i broke up with her. It's okay tho, now she is dating a guy who she thinks is 'clean'. I guess that is another nasty thing I have done. NOT telling her that this guy has the clap =D> .)
  21. It looks great! One problem; when I try to put it in my signature, I get a message that says "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." Any idea what to do? ::edit:: nevermind! imageshack changed its layout a bit so instead of the bottom link being the correct, you have to look for advanced linking options to get the correct link. I love it though, it's perfect! you are an amazing artist. I would love to see what you can do on a canvas, paper, or even other programs.
  22. the background looks great! I was a bit iffy on the bear, but I think it has its own appeal to it as well. I know you arent done, but so far it looks great. i am very impressed =D>
  23. I think i am going to have to disagree with the part I have bolded. First, I must say that I do own pures and that I do have a main account with 99 defence 91 attack and 91 strength. When I made my 3 pures, I was looking for certain attributes. For my mele pure, I gave him 20 defence. This is enough to have him wear mithril. Getting him up to about 40 attack and 50 strength was easy. The tough part was fighting the pures. They had at least 10 attack and 10 strength levels on me. But I noticed when i had my full armor on that they did get the big hits, but i was able to whittle down their hp with every blow. They might hit a few numbers in the high teens, but my 5 10's in a row did some damage as well. i was still debating myself about making that account when I decided to make my range pure. My range pure started off great. I got him to 60 range and 1 defense. This worked very well at about level 27 or so, then I felt like it wasnt doing much for me. I wanted more hp and I wanted to be hit less often. So i trained to 60 mage and 20 defense. This allowed me to use spells and the studded leather armor. I noticed that even against pure rangers of my same level, I was able to whittle down their hp just like I had done with the warrior. Even against warriors i would do well. The range did well to whittle down the hp of the warriors that had defense and the fire blast spell was a great knock out attack instead of resorting to a rune 2h which would raise my combat level if I had trained attack and str. and finally, my main character. With 99 defense, I do fight a lot of people that have 99 att or str and 90-92 defense and att/str. It really does depend on what I use to fight with, but for the most part, i dont notice too big of a difference between myself and the other person. the defence helps a lot when people try to spec on me, but even in full bandos and a DFS, i have seen people tear through me with a whip. So i think it all just depends. I understand the philosophy of the 1 defence pure, but in my experience i have noticed that this is maybe not for me or other people. i prefer the defense a lot more than a higher attacking skill. Maybe its just because of my personal experiences of few deaths and many kills, but i guess everyone is different. [/end long post]
  24. Well my RS experience is really not that bad of one. When I played it was because I had nothing else to do. If I had plans, friends invited me out, etc, I have always left what i was doing to go do that. I dont really ditch people at godwars or whatever, but if I had plans, I would always let my team know and allow time to find a replacement. So If I never had RS, I would probably would have played my ps2 with socom AS in place of RS. I dont think my life would have been much different other than the friends that I have made through the clan I used to be in and the IRC and Vent servers i used to go to/check in periodically. look up my stats. its a good 4-5 years of play. i would say my situation reflects it pretty well.
  25. *8th grade: In the mandatory foods class, we were making stir-fried chicken(it was a final, so we had to serve it to a teacher). On the way back from the prep table where we pick up our ingredients, i dropped the chicken on the lab partner's shoe (of course these were his 3 year old shoes he used to play basketball/run in). we picked it up, put it back on the prep table, took another piece, and went back to work. The group who took our chicken we dropped was cooking it for the math teacher no one liked. Our group laughed. a lot. *im going to homecoming with my friends on-again off-again girlfriend. She is also one of my best friends. I didnt really ask him for permission. I dont really know how this is going to end up... *working in a restaurant gives you plenty of secrets. Lets see... where to start? you know that chicken you ate tonight? it was probably prepared by a 16 year old busser that had some spare time, so the manager told you that you would be prepping tonight, even though you dont have your handling license. Your manager also tells you to get behind the bar and help get the bartenders caught up on drinks and cleaning dirty glasses(min. age is 18 to be BEHIND the bar, 21 to serve the alcohol). Your managers also ask you to run food from the line to the table, which also requires a food handling license. just a few that i thought of today.
