  1. or you could buy strawberries from the GE and baskets from any farming shop, then fill the baskets and sell them on the GE. You make about 50gp each time, so if your fast, like 250k+ an hour Whats the daily broad bolt thing you talk of?
  2. Set your kingdom to collect herbs... Hundreds of thousands each day without a single effort, my friend :)
  3. I would say they are most popular due to PVP being a kick-[wagon] way to make money, and a lot of Defence lvl 1 people do that and lose a lot of these boots on PVP worlds... And since people tend to buy fast-needed items at max price, the price is ever increasing...
  4. This Plus this.... Making it the island where you start your memberskills... I've always hated the ay you start Farming, Fletching, Hunter, Thieving and Agility foir example... Just by "doing" it... Make this island a place where you have the opportunity to start "some" of these skills with a nice introduction (not essential to ever doign the skill) and of course a nice little reward to add to those skills, and make it possible to revisit the resources there...
  5. Yeah, it took me a while to come up with all them bad food puns, while still trying to get a point across... Do you agree that it should also not be as dependant on fishing? This is actually a great idea... Did you suggest this to Jagex yet?
  6. Couple of things to clarify; First, the DYK is not worded on the Times article as I had submitted it, a message has been sent to the person responsible... The shortcut to the Dagannoth Kings is only there DURING the quest, and you have to keep failing to save Vargas... This shortcut puts you in the room directly above the room of the Kings themselves... After the quest, this shortcut leads to the Dagannoth Guardians... Second, I tried a light-hearted article filled with food idioms that still tried to convey a message, three actually... One being the one that Fish is way over-represented on the food table. The second that a complex recipe composed of low level items should be the way to go for high level 1-bite healing HP. And the Third that high end food should not need added special bonusses, because due to being the highest healer, they will be popular enough already :) Hope this cleared a few things up for everyone...
  7. I actually see them going up further and further... So far, nothing has been done to increase supplies, demand stays roughly the same (although a few people will want to train it to use new curses), and more and more GP flows into the economy every day, meaning that on average, people have more to spend (and spending spreads the GP around)... All these factors combined cause many items to go up in price... The one reason why this does not seem to affect the Common Trade Index on the wiki pages is that Jagex seems to release very methodically update after update that is designed to boost supplies... Gold ore due to Concentrated Gold Ore being a popular new way of training mining... Vials of Water due to them being available in large quantity packs at shop price... Nature Runes increased also in supply when people had a chance to get more then 1 nature rune from a single ess... These are just a few examples... GP is not a wanted item, so buy into Dragon Bones now, because it is unlikely that Jagex will release a monster that drops dragon bones and is easier to kill then Green or Blue Dragons...
  8. Also bring Brews or Rocktails so your HP is boosted over the max... That way you wil not be able to be 1-hit...
  9. I cant stress the importance of a Beast of Burden, no matter how little ti can carry... A few extra Brews/Restores or Rocktails prolongs your life in the cave immensely...
  10. Or try killing creatures that drop a few Nature Runes as well as Bones that are not too far from a bank... All you need then is a Mudstaff (some 300k, which you can sell back) to convert the lot into bones (one cast for whole invent of bones to be turned into bananas)...
  11. Does your clan have a Warlord? Yes, his name is Psi Kia Kai What is the role of the Warlord? Organise the occasional war, which we would then do in place of an event In terms of power, is being a Warlord anywhere near close to being as powerful in your clan as a High Council member(or a rank equivalent)? It is one of the most important cabinet positions in TSA Traditionally, do you think the roles of a Warlord has ever changed in the past 5 years? It really depends per eprson, but in my view I've always had the same role in mind for warlords in my clan...
  12. MHL; in your opinion, where do you think the EU, past, present and its wannabees fit in this scenario?
  13. I don't mean to be rude, nor do I intend to cause offense, Stormrage, but you didn't have Tip.It as your first priority when you were one of the leaders for MSSW5. You took advantage of your position and used it to advertise your clan. When the MSSW5 comes, I want a leader that's more loyal to TIF and for once can push aside his or her self-pride. Ok, you brought it up again, so obviously you want to have this debate again... Saying you do not want to be rude or cause offense, and then saying that I am not loyal enough to Tip.it, thats a connection I cannot make... But you are right... My #1 priority is my clan, as it is with ALL clan leaders... I am not staff (Times Writer does not mean you're stff) of Tip.it in any way, so I am not obliged in any particular way to this site, its forums and its people... At the time I spoke often with Dustin (the organiser) on how to possibly implement a new MSSW since we had no wilderness to speak of... This was well before the FFA areas of clanwars were released, imagine how far it was before the PVP worlds were released... And yes, I asked him to give me a nudge when he was about to post the thread, cuz I had been working on a little guide ever since the 3rd war... The guide turned out to be HUGE, and apparently very official looking... The Tip.it staff obviously and understandibly did not like this as it came off as me running the show... I was allowed to continue after a short debate, with it with a massive disclaimer at the top of the guide that the Tip.it staff was working on their own guide, and that it would be posted shortly, and that mine was merely a bunch of collected suggestions for it... NO EFFORT was seen by the Tip.it staff other then electing the various fall-in leaders (Leaders and Generals, and I was one of the latter), and in the end the consensus was that everyone was to go along with my guide... None of this, though, was ever confirmed by Tip.it staff, or you, DBZ, who was the Leader of Tip.it's army at the time... Now, for your claim that I was advertising my clan... Yes, many of my fellow clansmen advertised The Tal Shiar Alliance, and they did so cuz I told them to... I never once mentioned my clan save one occasion... In Edgeville, well before the war started, I was asked if I was in any particular clan, and if so, which one... Of course I answered... Who could possibly see the harm in this? But no... People jumped on me from all sides that "a person in my position should know better then to advertise his clan"... What position? The very position you all drove me, and let me drive myself to... Yes, I liked to show off, I was proud of what I had accomplished, and yes, I was a General for that war and hence I took it upon myself to make myself as visible as possible by wearing white armor instead of steel... After the war everyone had no complaint whatsoever about the efforts I mad (I cannot possibly help it that no other site took this much effort to win the war)... Save one... Apparently it was not clear enough how important the teamcape was, even though I mentioned that you should not show up to Tip.iters as a white dot on your minimap by being in a CC and/or wearing the teamcape... We all know that backstabbers and other [wagon] were rampant and for lack of a real enemy, very much apparent as being our main enemy at the time... I do not regret a single action I have taken, nor a single word I have said pre-, during or post-war... But, if it takes this much of a straightjacket for me to be allwoed to post a guide (I didnt even ask to be a General, I got it offered thanks to that guide, I think), then thanks... but no thanks... I am quite sure that other people can do just as well as I did... Just liek they promised back then too... I have been a leader of my clan for over three eyars, and my clan has been aroudn these forums for just as long too... In fact I am willing to state that my clan is the most woven-in-to clan in the Tip.it community... To question my loyalty to Tip.it, who have let me graciously given me a sweet spot on the front page once a month to let my thoughts provoke some of yours, who have allowed me to post that massive guide and for it to be used during the MSSW's, who have made it possible for my clan to do so many things here, including the foudning of The Conclave..? It's beneath you... And it reeks of jealousy... I had always hoped our two clans would have a future together with Tip.it, as we are the last remaining clans on these boards to have stuck with it since thy arived (and not ran off to RSC)... That will no longer be the case, and that breaks my heart...
  14. I've wondered this too, since the consensus is we're more of a skilling forum (when was the last time someone with all cmb 99's with 45 slayer and all other non cmbs below 60 got a good rate?) while Zybez imo is a more cmb oriented site. Its worse then that... Zybez would not exist if it was not for all the massive clans on it... It is a site based around combat clans, and most of those do f2p (bunch of cheapskates)... As to why Tip.it owned? The first two wars we could hold our own, largely due to having roughly an equal amount of numbers, but no plan to go with... When the third war arrived (the first one I got activly involved in) I knew that any sort of plan was out of the question with a forum full of inexperienced people... So me and a whole bunch of others vouched to get as many people as possible online at least an hour before the war... We spammed the forums, made sigs, guides to gear and inventory set-up, and even pushed to have it posted as an announcement on the main page of tip.it, and it paid off... MSSW3 saw AT LEAST A THOUSAND people all in the same green capes on one world (a green cape was 15k that day)... This bombarded us instantly to being the organisers of the LARGEST DEATHMARCH EVER, completely crushing the record of a meager 400 people which was set 5 years before that... Need proof? Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click . This was when we actually had a fight to do... Odd enough, two days later they removed the wilderness... At MSSW4 (I was a General then) our biggest enemy pulled out, we only pulled a "mere" 700 people, and there were more backstabbers... (you might remember one guy being in all white armor instead of steel... That was me ;)) More information can be found through the link in my signature... But our conscription campaigns worked :) And should an MSSW5 ever happen, trust me that I will once again do everything in my power to make sure we have enough people online, and online early enough to completely own the server... It is the only way that Tip.it has a chance :)
  15. Armadyl not present on RS? The Gardians of Armadyl play a huge part in WGS as they lost the one item they were supposed to guard (the coveted Staff of Armadyl) to Lucien... This by either your own person, or according to the communiqué sent to you by Idria, done by Movario... Idria is, with her guardians, part of the Crux Eqal, together with the druids of Taverly and the Temple Knights of Saradomin... All of which now reside in Falador... It's obvious that, while having difficulty, followers of Armadyl, Saradomin as well as Guthix seem to work together to stop Lucien, but maybe they'll feature in stopping Zaros too... Since "Armadyl's Race" the Aviansie were wiped out during the godwars, it is likely that Armadyl simply lost interest or influence on RuneScape itself, and many of his following may simply have switched allegiance to the more prominent Saradomin... Saradomin and Armadyl have always been allies as they are theorised to be the gods of Order and Justice respectivly, with Armadyl often opting to take the more peaceful approach... As for contact; we never had any contact with any gods, and we only listened in to Azzanadra communicating with Zaros...
  16. MSSW4 kinda was already... Like I said... ONLY the official RuneScape forums are what stand in our way... And we might be able to summon another thousand green capes (just like in MSSW3) but th other thousand will most definitly be from RSoF... Think how vusy the clue fest event was... Now think that we should face that all on th battlefield...
  17. Time to quench some rumors here If anything; Zybez would not need much time to rally, as with all of their clans they have a pretty good comand and communications structure in place... Time was plenty for us; so basicly it should have been enough for all sites... Unfortunately, in the last war, this was our enemy, hiding as a fifth column setting us up against one another, and every single one of those already wore our own teamcape... I warned about this well ahead of time and that you should not be angry about it (cmon, protect item and all you lose is a power ammy and some steal)... Zybez/RuneScape Community (its the same thing) did decide to not show up at all.. They won the 1st and 2nd war... We unexpectedly won the third one (and did not join any alliance against RSC/Zybez for that matter), and they have never recovered form that blow... Suddenly a fansite based around organised fighting in large quantities on f2p was not the best at fighting in f2p... The fourth one was a disgrace... Not only did Tip.it not have any real enemy to fight (Pure Community was our biggest opponent and decimated within 2 minutes by those 600 people at my shiny white-armored [wagon]), but on top of that Zybez, our main enemy that could offer some resistance, decided not to show because; Odd enough they didnt seem to mind that during the first three wars... Somehow the message got lost that this isnt about who is the best fansite (although morally, Zybez/RSC lost bigtime), but it is about having fun... Let the few people who want to take this war as a serious test of strength take it as serious as they want it; we could use their planning and organisation... But for the rest; just follow the crowd and hack away at anything non-green, and have fun while doign that... As for MSSW5, I am still in contact with the original creator, but as things are looking; Tip.it would win it again anyways because Zybez/RSC aren't ever going to participate, and so the other fansites think they dont have a chance either... The only way I can see this happen is if we take it to the ultimate fight ever; and make it a Tip.it vs RSoF fight... And that will be a tough one to beat!
  18. Do you, or anyone else, happen to have a transcript of this? BTW, know that I'm following this thread in great detail and with great interest... <---The pen below my name isn't there just for looks
  19. Best Tip.it clans? Are there only like 3 left? Rest is all migrated from RSC... We have my own, PKM and TSG, thats it?
  20. The Tal Shiar Alliance - Because sometimes... Angels need a sharp sword too!
  21. If the price is in dollars.... I'll wait a while ;)
  22. +3 Longsword of the Burning Wedgie I want it...
  23. I was referring to thousands and thousands of Latin Americans playing RS, but staying possibly mostly on the spanish-only servers... And I was stating a question really about the cows; "I am not sure if .....the game will be popular at all"... I think it's a good question - where do we stop when we start adding other non-British holidays into the game? But I don't expect them to start adding every holiday under the sun. I think if they were to try and add other events in from other countries, they would keep it as non-religious as possible. I don't see a problem with it really, and apparently with how the Forum server crashed thanks to all the activity for the Thanksgiving event - nobody else does either :P I've touched in the past with an article on how things other-then-anglo-american should emerge in the game, and more importantly which... I've pointed out in it that if they want to touch on religion (they kind of do already with christmans and easter of course) that they might want to add in Jewish holidays... Also the Dutch are deserving more then their own language forums, because they have by far the biggest percentage of population that plays RS, as well as the biggest majority of RS players that bought subscriptions... But (and jagex pointed this out too) most Dutch people already speak english, so they do not need their own language server... I'm unsure if theyre looking into something else atm to "reward" the Dutch with... PS; Nederland hoort bij Vlaanderen...
  24. A new issue of the Tip.it Times is out with articles by both Racheya and yours truly, and included is yet another Did You Know by The Tal Shiar Alliance... Enjoy the read, and discuss the articles and DY'K here, but PM any gramatical errors please Proceed to the articles here
  25. It's almost hilarious to me though... The clan world is considered by that same clan world to be the clans that PVP on both F2P and P2P (largely f2p these days)... If I take my own clan as an example, which is P2P only, is considered a community but has strangely enough the structure as well as the requirements of a clan, does not war often (or not at all) and hence has no victory posts, we have no recruitment thread, hardly post in the name of our clan other then the Tip.it Times' "Did You Know" facts, and are not activly recruiting ingame... ...and we still get one or two applicants a week I think that "the clan world" is dying in a sense that the PVP clanworld is dying... Every other form of clan is thriving these days, be it community, merchanting, skilling, or minigame/event clans... Face it... The type of clan that Tal Shiar is, is Internet, compared to where the PVP clans are newspapers... Its evolution ;)
