Hey way to go! It was on my first list too  It is a great movie.

I haven't been out on Halloween for probably at least 5 years. But I did dress up as Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd for school this year. I may post a picture of me in my costume later, but for now I'll leave you guys with a reference picture: [hide=Large Image][/hide] My costume is based on that, but it's home-made. Not hand-sewn, but put together from things I already had (except I bought socks and a corset). I used: [*:mn4qmdlr]My mother's old, black, lacy dress. [*:mn4qmdlr]My mom's poofy mesh skirt, which was worn under the dress to give it some body. But the skirt is slightly longer than the dress so you can see some mesh at the bottom, which was perfect. [*:mn4qmdlr]A store-bought black corset with black lace trim at the bottom. We sewed some red lace trim around the top. The corset was worn over the dress. [*:mn4qmdlr]My mom's black arm-warmers with black buttons down the sides, which were sewed down with red thread (which stuck out nicely, to match the red lace on the corset). [*:mn4qmdlr]Store-bought black socks with grey, brown and red stripes. [*:mn4qmdlr]My black converse. Not part of my costume, but I wore them. I intended to wear black boots, but it was raining today and I didn't want to get my mom's boots all muddy. So I wore my converse, which actually looked nice with the outfit, even if they were out of character. [*:mn4qmdlr]Crazy hair

40 people were absent from my grade (of 140 people) on Monday due to the stomach flu :? I haven't been sick for a while though.
  4. Seeing that picture makes me angry :P I bought a used copy of Sleeping Beauty a few months ago, which only worked on my new computer, but not my old DVD player. Shortly after, they release this edition, which would work on both :P Well I pre-ordered these two: And I will be ordering this one during Christmas time  Love that movie..
  5. I haven't really been a fan of Eminem's work since after The Eminem Show, which I loved. I feel like his music actually had some emotions and meaning to them it that album, and many of his songs that came after were quite the opposite.. So I'm not quite sure what to expect from Relapse.

I saw a lot of The Shawshank Redemptions. Not sure if I will be able to pick five, so I'll just name movies off my shelf that I really like. I'm going to count all movie series' as one for the sake of movie slots :P In alphabetical order (not in order of preference): [*:rhqxyi8i]101 Dalmatians (non-animated) [*:rhqxyi8i]Bicentennial Man [*:rhqxyi8i]Batman Begins / The Dark Knight [*:rhqxyi8i]Jurassic Park [*:rhqxyi8i]The Lord of the Rings (all three) [*:rhqxyi8i]Moulin Rouge [*:rhqxyi8i]The Mummy series [*:rhqxyi8i]National Treasure 1 & 2 [*:rhqxyi8i]Shrek 1 & 2 [*:rhqxyi8i]Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron [*:rhqxyi8i]Star Wars series [*:rhqxyi8i]Sweeney Todd [*:rhqxyi8i]X-Men series trying to limit it to 5 (in alphabetical order): [*:rhqxyi8i]Batman Begins / The Dark Knight [*:rhqxyi8i]The Lord of the Rings (all three) [*:rhqxyi8i]Moulin Rouge [*:rhqxyi8i]Shrek 1 & 2 [*:rhqxyi8i]Sweeney Todd Limiting them to five was really hard though :(
  7. Some updates: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince International Teaser Trailer - New I'm not quite sure what's up with the last scene. I'm pretty sure the woman he's drooling at is Romilda Vane, but he's not supposed to like her...? As I said before, I don't expect it to be even half as good as the book, but I'm still excited to see it nonetheless. If it was banned, it would be because of the 1984-ish government views. I seriously don't think that any of these books are banned. Anywhere. The only place I've heard of a book being "banned" is at a library, particularly school libraries. But that isn't banned, as said. I think he meant that those books are banned in at least one place in the states (which may be as minimal/trivial as one school library in one state). The only form of book banning that I might be okay with is libraries refusing to stock a book since that's there decision. I still think it's stupid, but I wouldn't kick up too much of a fuss over it. But there should be no problem with a person bringing their own book into a library to read (even if it happens to be the book that the library refuses to stock), as one example.
  9. Even though people are definitely not my favourite thing to draw/colour, maybe I'll give it a try. EDIT: Weeeell.. [hide=Here it is] [/hide] I have no idea how to make a movie out of a JPEG with this new iMovie... -.- I'll try to figure it out, but if I can't, hopefully you'll just accept the image.

At my school, the Chemistry students all have to create Moles.. by that I mean, they have to create a stuffed animal Mole that is clever in some way. An example would be "Holy Moley" (a Mole dressed up in priest attire). Fun stuff : But that was two years ago for me..
  11. And that is what I disagree with. All the staff who posted saw NO reason whatsoever to make this happen, so I'm asking everyone, why do you think it went by so easily (I'm guessing it did) now, and then I didn't. I understand the 'man power' part but it really doesn't take much to move guides from one forum to another. P.S: Seriously tintin113, and Musky44 if you want post count THAT bad please, please get off Tip.it. and IF those weren't for post count then I seriously think you should read the rules again... ~ Captainkidd This did not "go by so easily now" like you guess. I'm pretty sure the Staff first started playing around with this idea (seriously) at least a 1-2 months ago. Given that it was only just recently released, I'm sure that a large portion of that time was spent deciding how the suggestion would be implemented and if it would even be implemented at all. And honestly, on the thread you pointed out, not a lot of Staff members commented. I see: [*:1sfv4ttp]Errdoth - Isn't involved in Archive of Wisdom, so while his opinion is valued as a regular user, it does not hold much weight in the final decision-making process (which would involve mostly moderators and admins). [*:1sfv4ttp]pokemama - Was once heavily involved in the Archive of Wisdom and the related forums. When I was on Staff, she wasn't AS involved as she once was. Whether she's returned to the job, I don't know, so I don't know how much say she had in the final decision. [*:1sfv4ttp]the_tallest1 - Admin, lots of involvement/influence :P So you said that "all the Staff members who posted saw NO reason whatsoever to make this happen," but (1) very few Staff members posted at all and (2) not all of the Staff members who posted have heavy influence in the final decision. I see no Moderators who commented saying that they were against the idea, and forum-related decisions are usually made between the Admins and the Moderators - not the Crew. What I'm trying to say is that for all either of us know, 10 Moderators and 3 Admins could have been totally 100% in favor of this idea.. which would easily allow it to be put into action. See what I'm trying to say? We didn't see many Moderators' opinions, and they're the ones who will PRIMARILY be maintaining the forum anyway.
  12. This is not an error at all. It simply means that you (or someone else who used your e-mail address) already created an account using your e-mail address. This is no fault of Tip.it's so please don't get mad at the site for it. I see that pryomancer has already handled the situation, but for future reference, if you ever forget your Tip.it username, fill out the following form: account_problem.php Select "Other login problem" and explain the situation (you forgot your Tip.it Forum Username). Ideally, the admins will send you an e-mail response within 24 hours.
  13. Then why don't you head over to Zybez if that's the kind of stuff you want to read/talk about? If you're going to keep putting Tip.it in a negative light by comparing its "strict moderation" to Zybez' then why do you choose us over them? (not trying to be rude - I'm genuinely interested)
  14. While I personally disagree with hard-[wagon] Off-Topic (some moderation is appropriate, but I do think that some of the new policies go a little overboard on occasion), you cannot compare Tip.it to other fansites. Maybe I made this up, but I always recall Zybez having a "PG-13 rating." Tip.it does not. As stated in section 1.9 - Volunteering Personal Information of the Tip.it Forum Rules, Tip.it is a G-rated forum. I disagree with this rating and probably like you, do not feel it is appropriate for a forum where only users over the age of 13 are allowed, but I won't go into that again.. either way, the mods and admins have made it clear that the G-rating is sticking. Now none of the above means that I agreed with the "Ever caught them" thread, I was just looking at your suggestion from a more general point of view. While parts of the thread were okay, there were always parts that were way too inappropriate for Tip.it in my opinion.. and you're joking if you actually think the mods can successfully keep such a thread under tight moderation. It just doesn't work. No matter how many times the mods say, "Keep it clean," or "No extreme intimate details," people always push the limit. If you can't enjoy Tip.it without topics about sex anyway, maybe this isn't the place for you. I'm all about people having a good time in Off-Topic, but there are so many more ways to achieve that than through topics related to sex and sexual encounters. Sometimes I do feel like the mods need to lighten up in there (not because of their personal judgments but through the policies they have to abide by), but not in this respect.
  15. Because I believe, when you use that feature (Search at the BOTTOM of the page), it's searching post content only. I don't think there is a way to change that. If you want to see if you have posted in a thread, just go to View your posts and see if the thread comes up.
  16. Don't mean to be prying or to be sounding irritating with this, I'm just curious but why is there a LOTRO part of the site, or what is up with that...? Because Silverion and Lightning, who were into LOTRO at one point, decided to create a LOTRO fansite. But it was never fully completed and as Peter said, is pretty much dead now. Also as Peter said, it has nothing to do with the RuneScape side of Tip.it. It has a completely different website and forum.
  17. Thanks for underlining the links Peter :D Much better.
  18. Just adding on to/clarifying what pryomancer said, you are more than welcome to discuss FunOrb in the Video Games & Consoles forum. There may even be a thread already floating around about it.

Banning a word won't changes peoples' opinions or prevent rude comments from being made. People call you a noob because "level 3" is the only thing they see. I highly doubt that any of the people who call you a noob actually look you up and find out what your other stats are like before opening their mouths to insult you.
  20. Probably for the same reason people log onto other peoples' accounts, destroy untradeables and delete friends lists. Try recovering one more time, filling out every field. If it still doesn't work, the 'hacker' probably changed your recoveries (or you forgot the correct answers). Other than sending Jagex the billing information, I don't think there is a way to get your account back or lock the account.
  21. Very glad to see this implemented. However, along with the RS Names, I'd love to see them underlined. It's impossible to tell that they're even links since they just look like regular text. If they were underlined, people would realize that it was a link without having to test it out first by putting their mouse over it.
  22. Pointless bumping is already against the rules. If you see it, you can report it ;) (except in designated areas like Clan Recruitment, in which case it must be done in moderation)
  23. I'm in 12th grade right now, so hopefully this will be "coming true" soon :P I'd love to go to college in Australia, where my boyfriend lives. Not only because I want to be with him but also because I haven't liked any of the colleges in the US that I've looked at.. and I really like the University of Sydney. I'm thinking that I'd like to study Animal Science or maybe some something in art (but I really haven't thought about studying art much). I'm still trying to sell my parents on the idea though. They're not fond of me going to school in Australia to be with my boyfriend. But they WILL be changing their minds  :P
  24. That's true for every website or game that wins an award  And I've actually heard more people say the opposite of what you did: that "Tip.it is the best fansite community-wise, not so much information-wise." Maybe not exactly in that way, but I hear a lot of people say that they're here because Tip.it has a great community but they often visit because they have nice calculators, etc. And besides.. according to your reasoning, just because YOU say that "Tip.it is the best fansite information-wise, community-wise, not so much" doesn't make it the truth ;)
  25. I felt that way about CS2 -> CS3 (I have CS2). But I do feel like CS4 has a lot of new, notable features. It all depends on what you use PhotoShop for.. the program can be used for SO many different things and I find it rare that you find many people who use every single thing the program has to offer and to its full potential. Anyway I definitely think that the "Share My Screen" feature sounds awesome. I don't think I'd use any of the other features (or even "Share My Screen" much), but for people who are into those things (like 3D images/motion images), I can see it being an awesome feature.
