Multi Site Steel War Aftermath - Done - READ FIRST POST!
Yep. People only realized it was me 30 seconds after I died. There was no tipit people cheating; we just outnumbered everyone else 20 to 1. Everyone did however spread out from the castle a bit because the lag was so bad in the center you could not play (due to there being hundreds, if not thousands of tipiters there) Overall, a good war. I didn't even notice the enemy - they got killed before they got anywhere near the main army. I don't see much of a point in participating in these wars however if there is no fansite anywhere near big enough to challange us.

Make Tip.It Phone Friendly?
it would not be a bad idea to see if a cell phone friendly theme is available for phpbb3, but making the board actually usable on all of the phones on the market is difficult due to there being so many different phones and mobile browsers available. For instance, on my phone (Iphone 3g) tipit already renders perfectly; no modification is necessary.

My buissness idea
You need quite a bit of equipment to produce things on a business-level scale. Not only do you need the machines to produce the screens themselves (which is generally a special oven, some acids and inks and an extremely high powered light), but also the machines that are used to hold the screens and ink and apply the ink to the shirts (which even in their most basic form are expensive custom industrial machinery). Finally you need an extremely high-heat oven (which is again, a very expensive industrial machine) that actually bakes the ink on.

My buissness idea
Honestly, forget about it. Silkscreen printing is rather complicated - a setup allowing you to print rudimentary T shirts will cost at least 30 to 40 thousand dollars, not to mention business licenses, tax forms and other related expenses. The only way companies can make money selling T-shirts is by either doing custom work for anyone who wants them in small quantities, like for instance the Tipit store, for which the machinery is VERY VERY expensive, or selling large groups of shirts for things like staff shirts, which is still difficult.

Rs on ps3?
Yep, with linux it is possible but because of the hypervisor Sony has on the PS3 it runs too slowly to be practical without massive modifications.

Well this bites, I got mugged last night my phone stolen =(
Not true. Due to so-called "stand your ground" and "castle doctrine" laws on the books in all 50 states, if someone threatens you with a deadly weapon, you are completely within the law to use deadly force to stop them, be that by shooting them, stabbing them or otherwise beating the crap out of them. These laws have very few exceptions. As for carrying a concealed weapon, after a short safety class and some paperwork you can get a license to carry a gun or knife in 48 states, the two exceptions being Illinois and Minnesota if I remember right. not a bad Idea. OP, if you are either 21 or 18 (depending on your state) and the neighborhood is really that bad, perhaps you should apply for a concealed gun permit. A fine? That guy committed armed robbery - when he gets caught (and he will judging by the stupid things he has done already) he will most likley be going to jail for a few years, particularly with mugging several people.

Urgent help needed with WEP Key!
Resetting the router is your only viable option. The only other thing you could do is crack the password, but that is much, much, much more difficult then just reconnecting your computers.

The Offical TIF American Elections thread
In Europe the health care industry is essentially a nationalized industry - that is the government owns all hospitals, pays the salaries of all doctors and pays for all drugs - all of which is paid for through brutal taxes. Because you have bureaucrats running things, things like wait times for medical treatments (sometimes extending to months) are common and the general quality of service is lower - when its not your money there is very little incentive to improve. Obama's plan basically requires every American to buy health insurance that can afford it, and have the government pay for insurance for those who don't. Its still very expensive, but a bit cheaper since the health care industry is still private so there is less waste (hospitals would still be owned by companies, doctors employed by businesses and drugs would still be bought through typical market channels)

The Offical TIF American Elections thread
A plan that, while impossibly expensive like in Europe, does not let the government run the health care industry so that it maintains it's high standards and does not descend into the horribly useless, expensive bureaucracy that anything run by the government always turns into.

The Offical TIF American Elections thread
I hate it when people show that they have no idea whatsoever how this bailout is to work - it is like a fed loan, costing the goverment little or nothing - the money is spawned in a computer somewhere; loaned to the banks to ensure liquidity and solvency and is then repaid to the government where it is destroyed to prevent inflation. Despite the big "700 BILLION DOLLAR BAILOUT" headlines the news has been using to sell papers, the actual total cost is minimal. So what do you recommend? Communism? Socialism? Both have been proven to be helplessly bad economic models by a laundry list of countries that have tried them. The economy ebbs and flows; it is slowing down right now, but still fundamentally working - there is no real problems with it other then investors got a bit too exited. In a year or two the economy will be working fine again, just as it was - the US government is doing a surprisingly good job of dampening the fall for the entire world. What? They are polling even, or rather with Obama about 2 points ahead in a poll with a margin of error of 2 points. Why does it make a difference why the crime was committed? "Hate crime" laws are useless, as the things they make illegal are already illegal - if someone attacks you for being black, they still attacked you. Their motive should not make a difference.

Finnish school massacre
Much like the postal shootings of the mid 1990's Cho started a bit of a fad in going to do school shootings. Eventually it will die out (it already is starting to) but for now it is something that is unavoidable.

Buying a new MP3 player. Suggestions?
Find one flaw in what I posted; you made several unsubstantiated comments and I proved that you were wrong. I don't see how any of them are somehow incorrect. Perhaps before you start making up random things you should research a bit first. Correction: Apple is the only company capable of making GOOD MP3 players. I don't, and never have used Itunes. If you had bothered to read my post you would have learned that there are dozens of other programs available that work well with the Ipod. You mean the MP3 players that, despite being inferior, you buy anyway because it makes you "different". Which one of the 7000 songs I have loaded on to my Iphone is stupid?

Buying a new MP3 player. Suggestions?
Apple - 34 hours of audio playback under normal human conditions on the Ipod touch, as reported by several separate review websites. Samsung claims 15 hours of playback (under laboratory conditions). Microsoft claims 24 hours of playback on their Zune (under laboratory conditions) Creative claims 30 hours of playback on their X-FI player with the radios disabled (again, laboratory conditions) Iriver claims 24 hours of playback on their clicks player (once again under laboratory conditions) the only company that even CLAIMS to beat is apple in battery life is Cowon, with this statement : "Up to 60 hours (Based on company test result) ". Even then, that is hopelessly optimistic. Once again, this claim was made based on laboratory conditions which is based on a hand selected battery and that the user never presses a button, with the screen never activating - that estimate is at least 25% longer then the battery life a normal user would get. Screens on the smaller, cheaper players are very similar - almost all are 240 X 320 LCD or OLED screens. Even then, Ipod nanos are well known as having better color saturation in their screens then other competing players of the same size. If you get into larger, more expensive players (as you cited as better then an Ipod) the Apple equivalent the Ipod touch/Iphone has a larger, brighter screen with both a higher resolution and better color saturation. the ONLY point you may have. Cowon makes one or two players with (supposedly) slightly better audio processors and thus slightly better sound, but if it requires 300 dollar headphones to hear it, what's the point? I own a pair of Shure E5's and even with those plugged in I could tell no difference between an Ipod and a Cowon player. Again, the only players with a price advantage are cheaper ones competing for a different market, with less features, storage space and a cheaper finish. For instance, two of the players you cited were the Zen X-FI and the Zune - at their price they compete directly with the Ipod touch, witch is a vastly superior product with a better screen and many more features including a full featured web browser, a map system and a thriving market where you can easily find or make an application that does just about anything you could need. The only players that DO compete based on specs with a lower price point then Apple come from unknown companies that may or may not be in business next week and non-existent customer support. For a 50$ difference in price I would take the Ipod - If the thing breaks inside of a year or two it gets fixed no questions asked, and if it breaks again I get a new one. Honestly, how many times have you EVER listened to the radio on an MP3 player? With your comment (referring to the Zune) I wonder if the biggest criteria with picking a "good" MP3 player in your opinion is one that is not bought by anyone else - your two least favorite players are the Ipod and the Zune, numbers one and two in the MP3 player market. Find me ONE player that has more features then the Ipod touch, for a reasonable price - that is a full open system for creating and adding programs much like a PC that allows you to do whatever you want. Itunes is one of the best music manager programs out right now. Even if you don't like it for some reason, Ipods work just fine with a number of paid as well as free open source programs developed both for it and including plugins to insure compatibility with it. If you like it very basic, five minutes of searching on google will reveal a few quick settings you can change to allow you to use the player stone-age style IE by copying and pasting songs directly into the player's music directory.

Interesting article: "New Hampshire: The taste of freedom"
Believe it or not tanks are legal in all 50 states - the gun on it requires a bit of paperwork but nothing that can't be filled out in a few hours at the local police station. The only reason people don't go around shooting tank guns all the time is that shells are rather expensive. The biggest restrictions on private armored vehicle ownership are fuel economy (under certain circumstances you have to pay a gas guzzler tax) and the weight of the vehicle (generally you are not allowed to drive them on certain roads, as the thing is too heavy and the tracks will tear up the road). Otherwise, if you want your own tank division, just stop by Russia to pick up a few hundred abandoned T-72's and ship them into the country. Did you read the article? It outlined a fair number of different things that are legal there that are illegal in the neighboring states.

Buying a new MP3 player. Suggestions?
Instead of getting an Ipod knockoff, why not just get an actual Ipod nano? They are a bit more expensive, but they come with 8 to 16GB of space and are famous for working very well with few technical problems. Video output is excellent, as is support and the player's finish and overall quality. Despite what many people on tipit say, there IS a good reason that Apple controls 95% of the MP3 player market.

Any way of putting windows onto my 360?
As a general rule, if you have to ask no you cannot do it. Installing windows on a PS3/ Xbox 360 is possible, but it requires lots of time, effort and a large number of separate emulators. Even if you do get it to boot, it is still nothing more then a novelty - it runs far to slowly to do any real work due to all the layers you need to get it working, even the mouse lags. While it is technically possible, it is done mostly as a fun project and not as anything that will work practically.
