  1. This is a creative way for the United States to prevent Russia from blockading Georgian ports and bombing the airports. Even if the Russians tried to blockade a port the US was protecting, the blockade would quickly be broken by the carrier battle group stationed there.
  2. ... my grammar wasn't quite up to mod quality back then.

you honestly see no problem with completely ruining a person's life and any prospects for the future for a chance at winning a competition to make the dictator's of that country happy?
  6. no. Zero. I will give bonus points to anyone who knows the purpose of the twss smiley.
  7. Lenin, you missed Stalin's best quote! - I also have another three good quotes in my signature.
  8. There is really pop ups? Has someone seen a Runescape related one? Because most of the time pop ups on Runescape mean that you have some type of adware on your computer, as Jagex doesn't (or didn't) accept popup advertisements.
  9. locked on request.
  10. What? I always replied to all of your PM's. :) For people, I like evil, das, tripsis and the (now gone) bubsa.
  11. To be honest I have only ever actually heard about one fight in my entire time at school. It seems like some schools are MUCH more dangerous then others - I have heard about other schools in my area that are constantly having problems with kids bringing drugs, guns and other things to school and having fights.
  12. I see no problem with having mandatory classes in school, at least for the basic subjects. At my school, you need to take a full four years of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English as well as some health, gym and other classes. If classes are not mandated, then it's just too easy to have students taking nothing but worthless classes, and not learning anything at all while using up tax dollars. With no mandatory classes, its just too easy to have someone take nothing but art classes or something else that does not teach anything useful.

magekillr, what is this "gun culture"? The people involved in collecting and shooting guns in various competitions are not the people killing others, its the gang members that have no interest whatsoever in guns that go around killing people. There is nothing wrong with the "gun culture" in America. There is a problem with criminals.
  14. moved to tech and computers. This belongs there.
  15. Locked. As said above, please do not post about other player's achievements. If they want to, they will create a topic.
  16. While access times would be a bit faster - making application load times a little shorter, Toms Hardware shows that the overall transfer rates are not much faster then hard drives. Should you decide to RAID a pair of HDD', for the same price you could get 20 times more space then on that tiny little SSD. While SSD's are not bad, their main advantage is reliability, and I honestly hope you do not plan on throwing your desktop off a cliff.
  17. The people above are right. First, get a ATI 4750 graphics card, they are both cheaper and faster and second drop the SSD and pick up a hard drive or two for RAID. At the moment SSD's are tiny, expensive and not much faster then a regular hard drive. Aside from that, 64 GB is tiny, especially for current computers. Particularly because this is going to be your main computer and not a little ultraportable, you are going to fill that HDD quickly. When games can easily run 5 - 10 GB each, you are not going to have much room for stuff.
