  1. Moved to RS bugs and suggestions. This thread belongs there.
  2. Its going to be hard to help you if its a knockoff. Chances are nobody on tipit has that same player, so you are unlikely to get any specific help. Try reading the manual, or if it didn't come with one just let the battery die and then recharge it and see what happens.
  3. great, thanks!
  4. Well I have had my signature for quite a long time now, and I still like the theme, but its starting to get old. Originally it was a quick five minute job to get myself something to use as a signature for a short period, but it's long past its lifetime so I'm looking for a new signature. I would like something still including the three quotes currently in my signature and pictures of the people that said them (although any picture you can find of them will be good), and somehow incorporating the text Snipersas: Tipit Global Moderator other then that, I'm pretty open to ideas. Is anybody up for it? I was going to post in a signature shop, but since what I want is so broad I didn't know whose topic I should post in.
  5. Intriguing is right, thread locked. If you would like to continue this game, please visit the topic he linked to.

  7. When that happens, it usually means that the video drivers are not installed so that the OS is reverting to the basic windows ones. Try downloading the computer's video drivers.
  8. right click on the folder and select properties in the dropdown menu. The file size is the size of the folder.
  9. banned because my name is green
  10. As said above, subtle_rune resigned his moderator spot, he just hasn't been removed from the list. hawkxs is not a true moderator (in that he cannot moderate the normal boards general, off topic etc) but he does help to run the falador library board so he is on the list. Peterpan538 is a clan related person and is thus not a regular moderator and the others (Errdoth, testo, idpup, and Da_Latios) are either only moderators on a select few non-discussion boards related to their jobs (errdoth and Da_Latios) or are special testing accounts (testo and idpup)
  11. Since he is running a storebought Gateway with a phentom tricore, the computer definitely has a PCI-E slot. As far as upgrading it, its usually as simple as popping the side panel of the computer and sliding a card into a slot. To run RS with AA, a $50 ATI 2600 pro would work just fine.
  12. No, the x700 is a significantly newer, higher end card then the Radeon 7000. The Radeon 7000 is quite old, so they may not support the drivers anymore.
  13. I say take as many as you want. A full glass of soda costs restaurants about 2-3 cents (the water in it actually costs more then the syrup). At 1 or 2 dollars to get the cup, no matter how you slice it they are making plenty of money.

some internet services have a cap? I think mine stated somewhere not to download more then 50 GB a month, but I have been pushing 300 GB + per month for a couple years now and they are OK with it. but as to dial up, its horrible. My grandparents had it for a short time, and even the slow version of runescape wouldn't run right.
  15. since there is already a topic on this as posted above, I'm locking this thread.
  16. if you think you can replace the processor, then go for it, but as stated above it is usually very difficult to do and the processor itself may be difficult to find. Beside that, as most laptops are not made for upgrades, unlike desktops processor sockets are regularly changed, making sourcing a processor that will fit difficult. Memory on the other hand is cheap, plentiful and easy to replace. 4GB of DDR2 can be had for $50. For a website to use, check the stickies at the top of the page but in general if you live in the US newegg.com is considered to be the gold standard.
  17. Just reset the router. On the back of the router box there should be a pinhole "reset" button that, when pressed, turns the router off and then back on with the default settings - IE no password. You can reset the password from there. Actually cracking passwords is a bit more difficult.
  18. Locked - Please use this thread: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=583381 to post when you are leaving / returning to tipit.
  19. Title edited. Please do not use some random title to try to attract attention.
  20. locked for the reasons stated above.
  21. encryption is kinda annoying, but if you use a good password (AKA 15+ letters) its absolutely impossible to break into the drive. To do that, just download the program "truecrypt", its an open source encryption utility. Its pretty easy to use, just read the instructions within the program.
  22. Topic cleaned with several gross posts removed and title edited. Guys, keep off the gross, mature stories here. The other "mature" topic is the only one intended to be as such. Post such related stories there, not here.
  23. Locked - there is already a topic like this. Please post there: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=747852.
