Looking to build a PC (UPDATED)
That memory is not very good. This memory is both faster and cheaper.

new laptop
Actually the Dell vostro laptops are a really good deal. Here. They are actually made to sell to Small businesses, so you will have to make up a company name. The laptop listed in the middle should beat out even laptops on newegg for value.

Looking to build a PC (UPDATED)
tigerdirect is based in Florida :D Anyway, here it goes: Motherboard - A board made by XFX and based off the Nvidia 680i LT chipset. This is a very fast board, and for the price it can't be beat. DVD drive - A samsung drive. This is a SATA drive, as opposed to an IDE drive, so the cables are the nice clean looking thin red ones, as opposed to ugly grey ribbon cables. Processor - The cheapest core 2 duo processor out there. All of the core 2 duo processors are physically identical inside, Intel just uses a software lock on them to change the speeds, so overclocking is VERY easy. Hard drive - A 320 gig Seagate model. Its really hard to go wrong with a Seagate or Western Digital branded drive, so just hunt for the best price. If you are looking for absolute speed, the Western Digital drives with model numbers ending in "akks" are the newest, fastest drives. Memory - 2 Gigs of Corsair memory. The latencies are low on this memory, and after the mail in rebate its only 60 bucks. PSU - A 500 watt Cooler Master model. for the price, this is a very good deal. Cooler master products tend to be reliable. Case - I have not had any personal experience with this company, but a case is a case - either it works or it doesent. This appears to be a solid case that will do it's job just fine. Vista - some don't like it, but for new games it's the only way to go. The only difference between the OEM edition and retail edition is the lack of a Manual included in the OEM edition. Processor cooling fan - This one looks like it's based off the Intel reference design. Unless you are doing a lot of overclocking, a large cooler isnt needed - processors based on the Core microarchitecture run very cool anyway. Video card - An 8600 GTS card. The manufacturer of this card, EVGA, is known to have much better warranties and customer support then other graphics card manufacturers. Thermal grease - This is a thermally conductive paste that is applied between the processor and its heatsink to improve heat transfer and lower the temperature of the CPU. My personal choice is a type of grease known as Arctic Silver 5, but it was not available on Tigerdirect's Canadian website. Speakers - Some inexpensive Logitech speakers. Logitech is one of the few brands that ive NEVER had problems with. (The keyboard, mouse and speakers I am using right now were all made by Logitech) Keyboard and mouse - Again, inexpensive, cordless and made by Logitech. As far as monitors go, Look for one that fits in to your price range. I don't know much about monitors, but if it helps, I am currently running 3 Samsung 24" monitors that work great. And a few final notes. First, I know you said you did not want to buy parts off a non Canadian website, but if you have a relative living in the United States that can send the parts to you, I would HIGHLY recommend it. The parts website I usually recommend, Newegg.com, has these same parts for about 200$ less. Even with international shipping, it should come out as cheaper. As far as Tiger direct shipping to you, look at the shipping options closely - they are labeled as "worldship" - The parts are being shipped internationally anyway.

Figured it out - LOCK PLEASE
card readers generally do not come with slots for the smaller mini and micro memory cards. You need a micro-sd to SD card adapter, like This one. I have never seen just an adapter for sale, just memory cards that come with adapters, you you might have to buy another memory card to make it work.

.jagex_cache_32?? HELP!
Runescape doesn't stream many files to your PC. All of the character models, Maps etc are all installed on your pc there. All the files are encrypted however, so you can't just view them normally.

[ANSWERED]Cable Television on this damn TV
Cable boxes are usually supplied by your cable company when you get a digital cable pack. They take the digital signal, which is encrypted to prevent people from stealing it, and they convert the signal to one usable by your TV. A Tivo is a device which allows the recording, pausing and replaying of TV shows. It lets you pause live TV, record entire seasons of shows you like and will automatically record shows it thinks you will like based on what you have told it to record before. Between the two, I HIGHLY recommend a Tivo. Its a bit more expensive, but its amazingly useful. The reason they didn't include a coaxial port was because they probably didn't think that anyone would watch standard definition cable on such a beautiful TV.

[ANSWERED]Cable Television on this damn TV
It really doesent have a coax input? In that case you need somthing that either converts the signal to HDMI or a cable box. I use a HD Tivo with my TV, but a cable box will work fine.

Summoning F2P?
You know there's an easy way to tell if summoning will be F2P or not. Just kill all the animals that have been dropping the new eggs in P2P. If they drop an egg, then chances are the skill will be F2P. If they don't, chances are it will be a P2P only skill.

Home built PC?
Here's a good build: CD drive(s) - any drive will do, really. I have always preferred having 2 dvd drives in my computer, but its up to you. Hard drive - Again, any good Segate or Western Digital drive will work well. If 400 Gigs isnt enough for you, get a bigger one. graphics card - The g92 revision of the 8800 gts. Make sure you get the one labeled G92, its a newer version of the card with a faster graphics chip. This outperforms the 8800 gtx is some situations. Power supply - I have always had good luck with Thermaltake PSU's. There reliable, and always put out the advertised wattage. This power supply also has modular cables, so you can keep the inside of your case nice and clean looking. Memory - You wanted lots of memory, you got it. This is 4 gigs of fast RAM from Mushkin, a reputable memory manufacturer. Motherboard - This one is based off the Intel P35 chipset, which is nice and fast. The only problem is that it does not support dual graphics cards, so if you ever plan on adding another one, you will have to get a motherboard based on the Nvidia 680i chipset. Processor - an Intel q6600 quad core processor. The cheapest quad they offer, and if you decide to overclock, it runs so coolly it practically overclocks itself. CPU cooler - Don't bother with this if you don't plan on overclocking, but if you do, its one of the best coolers out there for the price. Thermal grease - Some Arctic Silver 5. Again, don't bother with it if you don't plan on overclocking, but for 5$ this lowers the temperature of the CPU by about 15 degrees F (by improving thermal transfer between the processor and heat sink) and a copy of vista Here. Vista does use more system resources then XP, but new games need vista to run, so its not really fesiable to get a copy of windows xp now, unless you plan on shelling out another hundred to upgrade later on. -Totals about 1300$ As far as building a case goes, I wouldn't recommended it unless you have extensive experience in fabrication or case modding. Computer components are built to exacting specifications, and if you don't meet them Exactly you will have a big problem on your hands. As far as buying a case, that's more personal choice, so browse newegg and see if there's anything you like. About overclocking: I highly recommend you overclock the processor. This particular processor runs cool and is very easy to overclock. Just read some internet tutorials on overclocking core 2 quads and you should be fine.

Is Social security In USA as bad as "sicko" shows?
Do the americans still think socialism=communism= devil? Assuming that was a serious question, yes. I do believe that health care should be free for everybody. If we have to raise taxes by a small amount, then so be it. At least people who have millions upon millions of dollars would have to pay more the people who make 26,000 a year, and can hardly afford money for rice to feed them selfs. The problem is that tax rates would not be raised by a small amount. studies conducted by various government agencies into the cost of socialized health care put the cost EXTREMELY high. Current US income tax ranges from 10% to 35%, with the median falling around 16%. With a socialized health care system, to pay for it through income taxes, the median income tax would have to raise to something like 35-40% Just for health care. Its just too expensive to cover every one, and things like wait times and inefficiency that come with government owned hospitals jack up the price massively. Theres still a lot of holes in the system, but completely government controlled health care is waaay too expensive.

I got arrested.
He'd get caught, I buy my stuff from a radioshack, and all the clerks know me and they'd be more than happy to act as character witnesses. I dunno how it is in America, but we have the right in the UK to demand a police officer show his badge, and if he doesn't quote our rights, he has no right to arrest us. Full stop; even if it's a mistake. Typically our police go about in pairs so the chances of a rogue are reduced. Can't you ask for proof he's an officer? They can still arrest you, but if they forget to read you your rights, then any information they get is not usable against you in court. As far as asking them if they were actually a cop, technically you can, but if some one stops you wearing a police uniform, driving a police car, its unlikely they are anybody other then a cop.

Is Social security In USA as bad as "sicko" shows?
Social Security is much better then Micheal Moore would make you believe. There is several gaps in the system which DO need to be fixed badly, but for the vast majority of people, health care is not a big problem. Essentially, if you are Older, you have Medicare to cover you, (which is a pretty good system) Ever in the Millitary, you have millitary benefits to cover you (After the VA reforms in the mid 90's, this also became a pretty good system) and if you are very poor, medcade covers you pretty well. The biggest gaps in coverage are with the people with too much money to qualify for medicade, but not enough to get private insurance, which is very expensive.

Adware Problem
If you have some type of hardware or software problem preventing you from installing programs, we might be able to help with that.
-
Adware Problem
The problem with adware is that, unlike viruses that usually have unique effects, there is literally THOUSANDS of different types of adware that do the exact same thing. Without a program to tell, your chances of getting the right manual uninstallation instructions is very low.

Christmas List

New computer
Cruiser's right. Unless you have a very high budget (around 2500+) Macs are not a very good deal. Any of the laptops listed on newegg, particularly the asus gaming series, are all good . This laptop is exactly what you are looking for. As far as installing OSX on a windows computer, it IS possible, but its illegal so I don't think i'm allowed to link you to the site. Just google it.

I didn't want to post this but...
Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's not overheating... I can touch the CPU after 6+ hours and it isn't hot at all. You mean the heatsink? even a core 2 solo needs a heatsink to keep heat levels down. If there is no heatsink, then theres your problem. Otherwise, random shutdowns are almost always caused by a PSU failure.

I did some Interesting math... and Runescape = Communism
Technically its not communism, but goverment controlled - evil economies tend to remind people of communism.

Trying to make a quick buck?
How about Redscape? The new system MIGHT work, but price controls rarely EVER work in the general market. As far as the original post - no, prices will still change. They can only vary by 5% a day, but yew logs might go up to what, 600 GP at the most? Thats still only 13 days to re adjust. Price changes will be slower, but they will still happen.

Cannoning- Quick way to get back pouches [TIP]
It looks like a good idea for getting your pouches back. Besides, if a runcrafter pker comes along and kills you, you will not lose your cannon.
