well ya, if it was mac formatted and you plugged it into a pc it would not show up. If you want to see if the drive works at all, try downloading Macdrive. Its not freeware, but the trial time should be enough for you to figure out what exactly is wrong.

well, assuming your RAM is ddr2, then yes the sticks can go in the same slots that the old RAM went. However if the Ram is DDR or some other type of RAM it will not work. To find the type of RAM your computer has, turn off your computer and turn it back on again. Before it boots into windows, there should be a simple page that has a logo on it - probably a samsung one in your case. Someone on that screen it should say something like "press F2 to enter setup." Hit F2, and the page you will be in should detail the type of RAM your computer uses. I'm positive there's a simpler way to tell what kind of RAM your computer has in it, but I'm too tired to think of it.

Well, you definitely have some form of malware on your computer. Try downloading Avast! Antivirus and running it. In addition. you should also download and run Ad-aware SE personal. Spybot catches a lot of things, but most people recommend you use both spybot and ad aware to catch everything. As far as AVG goes, I have always used Avast! so I cannot comment on its effectiveness. Whatever it is, these programs should take care of it.

Just a 1KW PSU? I believe that a 8800 requires about 300 Watts just to power itself, I guess the 2900XT's are roughly the same. And for four of them you'd be looking at about 1.2KW, just to power the Graphics Cards alone. You'd probably need a 2KW PSU just to be on the safe side. Lol! A 2kW PSU? IIRC those don't even exist for PC's. The most you will EVER need is, honestly, an 800-900w PSU. They don't even make 2kw PSU's. The biggest ones out there run around 1.6kw.

It sounds like the card is completely shutting down rather then just locking up (A quick search on google seemed to suggest that a lack of power coming from the AGP slot is the problem). First, run through these steps (this should eliminate most possible causes) 1. Download speedfan (here) and post a screenshot of the results (under load) here - high temperatures might be causing your problem 2 try reseating the card (its unlikely, but possible) 3. Make SURE you download the newest drivers. Its the most likely cause of the problems. Its entirely possible you just got a bad card, which under certain circumstances produces errors. In that case, It would probably be best to just return it and exchange it with a new one.
