  5. Most common: Strength Least useful: Herblore/Farming/Slayer/Smithing/Construction/Fishing/Woodcutting/Firemaking/etc. Fastest to obtain: Thieving/Cooking Least effort to obtain: Fishing/Woodcutting Consider. Fletching isn't in ANY of these. Firemaking is only in "Least useful," and it's tied with herblore and construction and farming, which I believe several have said they do respect. (In contrast, cooking actually is useful--it can make 300-400k gp/hr, which is more than most skills.) Cooking falls only under the fastest, and yet it's more expensive than thieving with less xp/hr, but somehow thieving never seems to make it on the list of so-called "n00b skillcapes." These criteria don't support your claim at all. Even if you worked under some kind of composite system, ranking skills based on a combination of these factors, these three skillcapes that are so disdained probably wouldn't even occupy the top three slots. You have some good arguments, got to admit that. But still, when *I* see one of these 3 capes I think (moreso if it's untrimmed) "meh, what a fool to lvl that skill*. While, when I see a slayer cape, a farming cape, or a herblore cape, I think "wow!". Can't hide my feelings, can I. We can keep argueing the "why's", the result will be thes ame. Also, if you see someone with wearing trimmed fletch or trimmed cooking cape, there's a 95% chance the other 99 is either cooking for fletching. I think it all comes down to this: A lot of lvl 50s-100 want a 99, right? Combat 99s might come eventually, but they take a while. So they choose to aim for an easy 99: cooking or fletching, and sometimes firemaking. Why not thieving? Cause it takes full concentration. Cooking is cook x, chill out, bank, cook x etc. Fletching, since they are too stupid to think of faster ways to train (bolt feathering), they use fletch x too. We can discuss about the usefulness and such for ages, fact is a lot of so called "noobs" (I find someone a noob when he doesnt know anything about the game) have a cooking or flethcing cape. Now, probably for me the base line: A lot of these "noobs" are idiots. Yes, idiots. They know nothing about the game, and just choose a cheap no thinking way to lvl. It's common to see someone with 99 fletching who hasnt ever been to GWD, or doesnt know you can buy battlestavse from zaff, or ... Basicly, a 7 year old can get 99 cooking or flethcing On the other hand, getting 99 herblore requirs either smart ways to train, or smart ways to make money, I.E, show you have some knowledge. I have yet to find a 7 year old to get 99 herblore (there probably might be one though). Same applies for slayer, etc... Note: I have been talking very generally. There are always exceptions. Noobs/7 years old can get rich too. There might also be 99 slayers "noobs" who just nolife slayer, not even doing it efficiently, but they just get if cause they have so much gaming time. (example someone who still trains with guthan, not using his bunyip or combat familiar, someones who uses sharks on all tasks, etc...).

Lots of misconceptions about chinning First of all, chinning at mummies is stupid. You loose out on way too many xp and time for just a few rune drops. Ape atoll all the way. Secondly, chinning isnt that expensive. At 96 ranged I get 260k xp an hour using (1300/h) GREY chins. Grey chins are only 350 each and they give me 205xp each. So 93-99 = roughly 6M, so you'd need roughly 30k grey chins, which is like 10.5M. Then you need to count in ppots, which are like 1/4th of that. So lets say 13M, make it 15M to be sure. That's half of the 30M some people are claiming. For this to work you need to pay attention, have full void , use 15% pray etc... Also, one trip, with tortoises, takes around 2h20min.
  7. drops cover all costs when not pietying. I would advise against bringing sharks though. Bring bunyip and a few pineapple pizzas Edit, is see you cant use bunyip yet still bring pineapple pizzas.
  8. I dont know how you DK but when I am solo maging, without SGS and Guthan, I have troubles surviving just on my unicorn (90 def). With sgs, it's better, but still, if those spynops get some lucky hits, it can get hard at times. (gear: verac, not praying + nooby granite shield)
  9. SGS

Dumps are always earlier than they say. However, if it's a really good organised clan, like the one with the rune knives, it might hit 50M, even 60M. However, if it's a bunch of ACIDY nubs, it wont even reach 45.
  10. You dont have to decide which one you keep since converting the armour will be free. One set and your settled. You are right about the degrading though. I hope they degrading will work like barrows, so only when used in combat. Anyway, I was wondering, what's best now (if you dont have any pts yet): Gather 10 armour pieces and 10 morphic tools now, since they are easy to get, and stock up on them. This is, assuming you will need get less pts per game, so armour and tools will be harder to get. On the other hand, maybe it's best to use all your tools NOW since now they last for 1k uses, while Jagex states the new version will last shorter, however yields more xp. Hard to decide. Another argument to use them now is that you might still be able to get one tool per game, even after the update (ie you can get enough pts in a game to buy one tool), only the tools will degrade much faster.
  11. I thought it was + 30 xp on all smithing items. Addy bars give over 60 xp each so I dont see how you get 2x the xp? If I am wrong, use them now, since longer lasting double xp > shorter lasting double xp (when update kicks in) of course.
  12. Pfft, what a childish flaming over here. Zot just stated that you cant really be semi-quit. Not more, not less. He didnt say Mario was a **** **** with **** who **** in the *** , whatever. Now wether you actually can be semi-retired or not is another discussion, but seriously, there is no reason to flame like this. IMO it is pretty hard to be semi-retired. Even when I was quit I was still following the forums pretty often. I can imagine logging in and saying, hmm one round of cwars, and ending up playing the whole evening. But that's just me.
  13. I recently went there ranging with unicorn. As you can see I have very similar stats. The things is, I forgot what I brought  I *think* it was like 2 antifires, 4 pray pots, 1 super restore1 sara brew, 2 ranged pots, bit of monks, bit of pineapple pizzas, bit of tuna (for first kill so you have space). Could have been 3 antifires too :o.
  14. I had this 3 times in a row now. First 2 times I DC when starting the game, the third time I finally could start it, but I dced like halfway. Yay...
  15. Updated my thread with pictures of 98 magic 85 slayer 85 farming 90 summoning 2000 skill total Abby whip drop Second time fire cape KBD heads drop and much more! Info about party: It will be either on this saturday, or the saturday after it. Time will be around 9pm Belgium (Brussels) Time. I think Belgium Time is GMT + 1. Not sure though, can anyone confirm it?
  16. Not so long in a CC I heard something shouting: woot, zammy page from clue. We werent tralking about clues at all, so I wouldnt know why he would just shout a random lie.
  17. What shield were you wearing? I'm interested in void ranging them too. I went there with armadyl, drag sq and unicorn and that went fine. Would void + dfs and unicorn be allright? (+ super def or so, dont wanna buy sgs).
  18. I have a quest cape and I must admit that for 99 % I just blindly followed the guides, not even reading the storylines. Bit of a waste, now I think about it, but I just wanted them to be done ASAP. (quest cape was my first goal when I got members and I reached it pretty fast I must say).
  19. He looked at how many pizza pts it cost to upgrade your apprentice wand (or whatever) to a mastar wand and noticed it is cheaper than any piece of infinity, yet the price of a master wand on the GE is higher than anything but the mage book. What he DID forget is that you cant buy a master wand from crap. You first need a teacher wand, then beginner (or what is it called). Each upgrade costs pizza pts. So, lock please ?
  20. Yeah, I noticed too. Though, somehow I dont really care about total xp. When I see that huge amount of xp I start thinking about how many hours I've "wasted" on this game. Makes me feel guilty.
  21. Oouch, thats a hard one. I think 90 % of the rich players got rich by luck things like GWD, DK's, Barrows, Corporal Beast, KQ, Visage, ...
  22. What he said. What he said, that he said.
  23. The irony. Sorry. Anyway, setting goals and achieving them has its appeal too. Fun is subjective. The irony... Cause he wrote there in stead of they're? Just wondering lol.
