  1. Very nice, Just got it myself through penguins too (Had 83, stopped hardcore slaying but still got 85 somehow). Me on the other hand will probably quit slaying for a while. I like rounded stats, and 90 90 90 with 85 slayer is nice enough. I think it's time for me to slow down on RS. 95 95 95 90 will take forever.
  2. lol @ last submissions. They all have the new SC armour.
  3. Ive seen a lvl 138 maging at dks who just brought summon pots (and antis). So yes, it works in some situations. @outsanity: Yes, for most normal uses (slayer etc) bunyip is more than enough. But then again, guthan was enough too. But for things like DK's (no Yak available yet), GWD, void at aviansies, void at abbie demons, unicorn totally rocks.
  4. Using a bunyip is cheaper (allthough, this isnt the most important since you make a lot), and you waste less time picking up bones, eating peaches and casting B2P. The time you save and the convenience for not heaving to click so much far outweighs the shorter length of the trips. For me, who goes to zaff everyday, kills bork everyday etc... camping isnt an option anyway.
  5. Yeah, it's VERY random. I used it for the first time while I was monkfishing. In one load of monks, my lobster had fished 2 sharks and 2 swordies. A monkfish invo takes 5 min, so I thought, woot, 35k for free an hour. However, the next trips the yield was much lower, more like one shark and one swordie. I'd say the average is about 15 sharks and 10 swordies an hours (wild guess). Anyway, they ARE worth it.
  6. Bunyip ftw there. Or bones to peaches (what I did pre summoning). Wear dhide or karil. Their drops are pretty bad yes. I've only gotten 2 mystic hats in my entire slayer (85) career. I think I've killed over 2000 of them.
  7. You will for sure make 100k.
  8. 2K will certainly do. I think it's like 1k, but bring 2k to be sure.
  9. I guess he decided to stop skilling and just do some cwars, or whatever in his spare time. This is what I have tried a few times, but TBH, it doesnt work... You get hooked pretty fast again, and set yourself a new goal.
  10. Like this: Got hat in GE, kite for ZGS when ZGS was rocketting and someone wanted it really badly.
  11. @Zot: Yeah indeed. Somehow, I dont have many tip it friends... I'm more of a loner I guess. Btw, I have sold you some shards not too long ago I think. For everyone: I will update this thread with more pictures every now and then. Since I play on a few pc's, the pictures are scattered around... For now, I'm uploading pictures on the family PC.
  12. MOD: CAN YOU MOVE THIS TO BLOGS? thanks :-) Soo... I oringally made this topic cause I was getting 99 magic ranged and hp. I made this topic for "rate this", but it turned to be more of a blog so I got it moved here. Atm, I'm still studying for my exams (last one) and then I'll be skiing for a week. After that, expect an update every now and then. However, I'm not planning to add every small lvl I'm getting :-). Just the bigger goals or cooler drops/happenings/whatever. FYI, I've been playing since santa's came out (RSC). I remember buying one for 60k, which was like 1/3 of all my cash. Since then I've been playing on and off. As you can see, I hate grinding skills, that's why you dont see me with any 99s yet. However, after 5 years the moment is nearly there. [hide=More about me (as a player)]Ever since I played, I've always had this taste for money. It isnt as bad that I stood in W1 all day to merch, but still. I hate wasting cash. A good example is my crafting training. I had 80 crafting and wanted 85. In stead of doing the easy way out with hides, I got interested in Battle Staves. If one would buy his orbs low enough, he could even gain a profit while crafting. The only problem was the GE trading limit. You can only buy 100 staves every 4 hours. But TBH, that wasnt a problem for me. GE is automatically, so as long as I made sure I'd have an offer in all day, I'd slowly gather enough staves. (664 a day at 100 xp each is 66.4k xp a day). The limit also made it possible to buy well under the mid price, since you can afford "waiting" for good deals. This was going so well, I decided to shoot for 90, which came like a month later. For that, I used air orbs though. (water orbs had risen quite a bit). Another example is that I buy my battle staves from zaff everyday, and always have money in my kingdom. Also, I do a bit of GE merchanting here and there. I've had my successes (like a 5M profit overnight), but also my failures (bought sara bracers at their peak, refused to sell when they crashed, waiting, waiting waiting, getting sick of waiting, selling for 30M loss, then noticing how it's slowly climbin up again...). During my first year of members (pre battlestaves from Zaff though and pre GE-merhcing) I somehow made 70M (I quit for few months and sold out my bank, upgraded purple to red). I didnt do GWD, or DKs a lot. I barrowed every now and then, but most of it is probably cause of my "greedy" playing style". Before 88 summoning or 99 ranged, I've never made any huge investments on skills (besides 80 smith (f2p long time ago), 80 prayer). I think I nearly broke even for 80 herblore (Unids), or at least did it this way the loss wasnt very noticable. As an example of my taste for perfecting training methods, I'll show you how I'm lvling ranged. 1-88 has been pretty simple. 1-80 was on f2p, doing chickens, cows, goblins, giants, lesser demons, moss giants. 80-88 was on p2p ranging various slayer tasks, doing a bit of boss hunting, ranging tzhaars, ... Nothing serious so far. After 88 I chinned to 90 which was very short journey. For 99 however, I'd need to buy myself a lot of chins. So I went investigating, seeing what is best. Void>armadyl was pretty obvious. After that I did some testing. How much pray pots, how much xp per hour, how to get max xp (dropping bones every now and then etc). I came out that grey chins were actually better than red chins, unless I can make more than 2.5M in 3 hours. Even red chinning, and doing aviansies is worse than grey chinning. However, during that testing I lvled like 91-96 ranged, mostly with red chins. I did an abby demon camping trip (1 whip) and an aviansie trip to make up for the costs though. So 96-99 will probably be with grey chins, even though I cant promise anything. If someone gets impatient... (FYI, grey chins = 262k an hour, red chins 325k an hour, extra details might follow somewhere else).[/hide] I have made seperate Hide tags for the skills I'm maxing. I will try to upload all the pictures I find, so you can get a good image of how I lvled. Note how there is sometimes several years between the pictures. Expect this to be updated every now and then if I find some new pictures on other computers. Enjoy. [hide=Magic]Here I will post my magic pictures seperately. All the way from cursing on f2p, crumble undead on f2p to barrows, DK'ing, alching, bolt enchanting, bursting on p2p. 75 Magic 85 Magic 90 Magic 94 Magic 95 Magic 96 Magic 97 Magic, Still at rock lobs. Missed 98 picture, or might be on other PC. Anyway, after 97 magic I got enough charms for 89 summoning. I did 97-99 by bolt enchanting, which I would suggest anyone to do it. It's more clicking, but it's nearly double as fast as alching, and sometimes you make profit. (at one point I was making 800k an hour cause diamond bolts (e) were going up and I already had a big supply of unenchanted bolts). EDIT: Just found the 98 magic picture. It was again at rock lobsters, however, the majority of the xp for 97-98 came from enchanting. I did one last bursting trip to gather the remaining charms for 89-90 summoning. [/hide] [hide=Ranged]Here I will post my ranged pictures seperately The ultimate ranging outfit, or not? I bought this and used it once for camping at abby demons and sold it again. It's good, but void owns it in most cases. 70 Ranged in f2p. The big boys are at the lessers, huh. I got 80 ranged still in f2p, but I cant find it. 85 Ranged. 90 Ranged. Chinning was going SO fast I missed the lvlup screen... 95 Ranged. Circus does own for free quick xp :o. [/hide] [hide=Hitpoints]Here I will post my hitpoints pictures seperately. 70 Hitpoints. 80 Hitpoints. 90 Hitpoints. 95 Hitpoints. 96 Hitpoints and 125 combat. Hell yeah. 98 Hitpoints. [/hide] [hide=Other Skills]Here I will post everything else. Highscore pics, total lvls, seperate achievements, ... My oldest highscores. Check the crafting Rank. And crafting now... How to train crafting with profit. Staves sell for 9080 each. Now the oldies. 1000 total on f2p. Stats before I went p2p. High scores a few months before it. Check how nice they all are :o. (rounded off). (relatively) Recent ones. The goal I'm probably the most proud of (well, rank-wise, it's my best stat too). As a surprise, I also got 126 combat, once a very special lvl. Check the total lvl too! Rounding off the stats, you know the drill... Gets me a pretty good rank too! Another combat-raising raised to a pretty decent lvl. A lot of people hate this skill. I just LOVE it. I mean, who doesnt want to gain xp AND money while he is asleep or playing runescape at the other part of the RS world. I stopped training it after 85 though, cause of my love of rounded off stats. And here we have a very common goal, yet IMO not that easy to get. Luckily training this skill can hardly be called grinding. Next to farming and of course the combat stats perhaps the skill I enjoyed lvling the most. Abby demons here I come! Some background on the lvl: Upon reaching 83 slayer, I also reached 90 in all my melee stats. As you have probably noticed, I'm obsessed with rounded off stats. That's why getting 85 just through melees wanst an option, since it would put me at 91-92 melees, meaning I would have to get 95, which would in turn get me like 91 slayer or whatever. So I started spending my penguin pts on slayer in stead of summoning (which wasnt 90 yet either). Also every exam book would go to slayer. The jade vine was also my daily routine. I did finish a few more tasks since most of them were cannonable, and it didnt take that long or 85 was there. Putting pts on slayer in stead of summoning has it's whole story too. I wont elaborate too much on it, but it came down to this: Money-wise it was better to put the pts on summoning and gain my charms + slayer lvls through melee's, getting the "lost" magic xp through enchanting or alching or ... . Time wise this was worse though and I would loose out on a lot of hp xp too. So pts on slayer it was. The actual picture. Here finally another total lvl picture, and a pretty nice one I'd say! 2000 skill total, woop woop! A tipiter with VERY similar stats. [/hide] [hide=Combat]SGS ownage at slayer task. Here another one. It's not too special considering I've hit 58 with it before, but I like the scenery. 65 with AGS at barrows Highest I've hit with a whip. Whip + Geyser Titan = Ownage. Theorically, this could have been a bit higher (21 + 46) but I still like it. 50 on mith drags After compfreak explained me how the Blitz DDS combo worked, I went to try it out. Best result so far: noob instant KO. That's how you Chin! (note: My inventory has changed pretty much since then. I bring a few more ranged pots, a super anti, tortoise and geyser titan pouches, ... The picture just has A LOT of monkeys, and I found a nice 3x3 square :-)). Pwnage with full void and Broad bolts. EDIT: CHECK OUT HOW MANY UNICORN SCROLLS THERE ARE! WHAT A COINCIDENCE. (seriously, I just noticed it). [/hide] [hide=Bank pictures, money things]My oldest bank picture. (f2p) First phat. Bought it for around 8M. I have been very stupid and sold it a few months later for 11M. In the month that followed, it rocketted up to 20M+. A huge regret in my RS career. However, like a year later I invested around 25M in masks (purple was 35M). In the end, the value of the masks exceeded the value of a purple, so I bought purple again. Back in the time, I helped Duke Freedom on an extremely good phat deal (of a noob who found it from someone who died). This is what I got as a share. How much better is RS without trade limits... After like a year of p2p, I quit for a few months and upgraded my purple to red. Money BEFORE I bought red. It's the most Cash I ever had. Atm I dont have a partyhat, but my cash is in the form of various items, GE offers etc... My most recent bank picture (July 2007). (yes it's old, I dont take a lot of them since I got members). Atm, my net worth is around 300M. Recently when phats seemed to go up again. I bought a green. I kept it for like 1 day, then upgraded to red. Which I sold the same day (GE Med). I had a bad feeling about them. And guess what, they didnt shoot up... Green phat outfit. Red phat outfit. A yellow to finish my "phat collection" (well, I dont have them all, but I've owned them all up to red). Another outfit, when I had my first GS. Probably even rarer than getting a chain from dusties! :o. Had bought the phat in June the year before for 207M. It shot up during the summer vacation, up to 270 (should have sold then!) and slowly got back down to 207, mainly cause of the removal of pking. [/hide] [hide=Drops]Sceptre drop This one has some value to me too. I had killed the KBD pretty often, yet never received any heads. Then suddenly, when trying out my new lava titan's tele, this one pops up. The funny thing is I got another one the trip after that :o. Left half, a pretty uncommon drop. Had one more after this, but cant really remember where it was. Terrorbirds arent that bad. A lucky fire giant trip. After I got 83 slayer, I decided to try my luck at mages. Got 90 defence in that trip too. Pretty good result :o. Long rock lobster trip. Aviansie trip of 4 unicorns (almost 4H). (profit about 1.9M). So I went to try out my new unicorn, and gain some mage xp in the mean time... A milestone, my first abby whip drop. I got it, as you can see, by range camping with my unicorn and freshly bought full arma. [/hide] [hide=Miscellanious]Tears of guthix record. Fire cape (2nd try). Note how I got Ko'ed by Jad, right as I koed him. Btw, I lost the cape a few months later and obtained it again after 2 tries. Here is the picture of me reobtaining it (second try again). Notice how I'm NOT on full health, unlike the other picture. This is cause I didnt get killed, unlike the other picture! 3 VERY good circus scores. Obtained 3 ringmaster pieces at once. Not too shabby I'd say. (note: I find this "very" good cause my previous visits had all failed, cause of me trying to please the public. I only just found out about the "do high lvl moves" trick.) [/hide]
  13. Again, I'm glad I havent wasted 100 hours for a fletchinging cape, and trained slayer/magic/ranged/summoning in the mean time.

As you can see, I had 716 bars after nearly 4 hours. That's more like 180 bars per hour. Bars are 2300 each you know. As you can see, bars are only a part of the profit, there's the alchs too. I dont bringg arma pendant cause the aviansies get unagressive after a while. The first few minutes I pray whenever I get piled. I stand right at the geyser and attack any bird like creature that isnt 131 combat :-). If you find my killing count high, Compfreak says he can get 300 kc an hour. Dont know how though, I thought I was doing pretty well with around 170 an hour. Thrown rings. Epic weapons of ubier ownageness. I'm not using them any more so I don't mind saying. I usually can't quite hit 300, but it's always well over 200 and sometimes close to 300. Potting often with +10% range pray and unicorn, my outfit is eerily similar to yours. Lol, I might go around here doing as if I've been ranging them forever, but tbh, I went the first time with unicorn and void just yesterday, after reading your reply on some other thread. I just stole your outfit :D

  16. my friend got 99 crafting in a week. You just need money. But I get what you mean, he shouldnt be another 99 fletch/cook/firemaking noob. I'd say, dont get any of those. The only ones I'd consider are hunter (good xp + money), or any of the combat ones (Ranged perhaps as the most useful one, do aviansies and chinning, or magic, do bolt enchanting).
  17. You will get piled by the sara and zammy monsters... Void + unicorn (zammy book, sara stole) is ultimate tanking for higher lvls. For lower lvls (bunyip) I'd say Arma top and bottom, verac helmet, Ranger boots, DFS/granite/crystal shield, sara bracers, zammy stole. Perhaps replace the zammy stole by fury and arma bottoms by zammy chaps. Or something like that. Point is, bring sara and zammy items. If you use 10 percent prayer, make sure you have decent prayer too (verac helmet, stole, armadyl armour all give a bit of prayer).
  18. You were flipping out Ray... anyway, I've got nothing to add. Listen to campbell.
  19. bedman replied to vooovv's topic in Help and Advice
Unicorn's healing doesnt delay you. Btw, I am using 10 percent prayer. Ill show you the pics in a second. Here: (used 4 unicorn pouches (= nearly 4h), brought 7 ranged pots and filled rest with restores and the usual. Left open 2 spots for drops) Btw, the profit wasnt really net. When I pced, I got 2.08M. But I Used like 100-200k in supplies. So it's more like 490k/h
  20. Nice guide, but it's pretty medium lvled. If you have access to a unicorn, full void owns. How I just did it is: Full void Explorer ring or archer ring Ranger boots Zammy book Sara stole Broad bolts Bring like 8 ranged pots, 10 super restores, (not sure on the exact number), 4 unicorn pouches, scrolls, alch runes, holy wrench, ... (I might have missed something); In the beginning, you will get piled by the aviansies, so put on protect from ranged. However, after a while they get unagressive. Use 10% prayer for extremely high hits (I hit up to 39 with broad bolts). I stay around the gesyer. It's pretty crowded, but I just rudely steal their kills. If they insult you, ignore them. You've trained for your skills so now you can use them. At 90 defence, my unicorn just manages to heal me enough. I might bring excalibur next time though. Data: Up to 480k gp an hour Around 50k ranged xp an hour (96 ranged). One trip lasts almost 4 hours. You can probably tune your inventory to stay there a bit longer. It was my first time so I brought too few ranged pots and my Unicorn "died" when i had some restores left. Some pictures:
  21. Aviansies own. I am making up to 500k an hour and get around 50k ranged xp an hour.
  22. bedman replied to vooovv's topic in Help and Advice
Just went to aviansies with my void ranged and unicorn. It absolutely rocked. Was hitting up to 39 with 10 % prayer and broad bolts. So fun to steal kills of all the noobs their just with one hit :D (39 > half hp). Managed to rake in about 2M in around 4 hours. Not bad I'd say.
  23. Thats the whole point, I'm GLAD I havent wasted so much time just to have a 99. If i'd laugh with you but I have one myself, that'd be lame, moreso than not having 99 fletching. It's a waste of time to get 99 in a skill...so you'd laugh just as hard if not harder at people who get 99 runecrafting, or slayer, or farming, or agility, or fishing, or mining, or construction? Those are even bigger wastes of time, since they take longer to get, right? So in a way, fletching is much less n00by than those skills? No cause when wasting time on these skills you get something back. Respect, money, ... With fletching nothing... respect? it's an online game :| if you want respect take time you waste on runescape and do something for the community/charities ;) and you get money from skills like agility and construction? ...construction alone costs more to get 99 in than you will ever earn back #-o Dont do as if you didnt understand the money part was about runecrafting and the respect part about the others. Btw, your reply how there's no respect and such on an online game is pathetic if I look at your sig. "2 99s". I'm pretty sure you are proud about it, and you should. You are proud and want to show off, so other people look up at you. That's how it goes, online and offline. Those capes are all about respect and showing off. I'm just saying, with the cooking and flethcing capes, the respect part is gone since it's so easy. What's left? The grinding. They still require quite a bit of time, so I'm saying, better waste your time on other skills , where, if you finally manage to get 99, you get *something* back. Or do skills you like and dont get any 99s (like I did so far). But that's just me.
  24. Troacctic, read what Huta has written. He's expressing exactly the same feeling I'm feeling.
  25. Thats the whole point, I'm GLAD I havent wasted so much time just to have a 99. If i'd laugh with you but I have one myself, that'd be lame, moreso than not having 99 fletching.
