Meh, I bought sara 160 bracers once (by accident, I had an offer in before GE update, and forgot to put it out after it) for around 380k each. Sold all now for 190k each, a +- 30M loss. Got enough of bracers now...
  2. It was in the newspaper "De Standaard" too today.
  3. Got all acrobat, clown and ringmaster clohtes now. Still need audience, but I'd rather get xp, and do all the moves, then just leaving early and getting audience (cause doing all moves for xp mostly get's you into the acrobat or clown range).
  4. 184, this guy is right. Soma raises some valid points, but really, way too many people (including irritating no-honour teenagers) to make this rule to be followed in general. The only reason to implement this, is to make a game rule about it (like in dueling).
  5. Are you insane?! This is the best thing that has happened for skillers in ages. I mean, all rune items at their alch price, wtf?! Now rune finally deserves the price it should be, and rune smithers could possible make some profit again (which they should, 99 smithing is insanely hard). Pots are finally rising to a more reasonable price (in a skillers/collector's view), whips and other items that have been devaluating for years might finally go to a decent height again. So to sum it up: this update has just given the economy of a lot of items a new, deserved boost.
  6. My friend got some, along with a guthan spear. We were killing each other for like 30-45 min when he got it. (10-15 kills each).
  7. Just two more questions, since I'm probably gonna be maging 97-99 there: What's the xp per hour (magic) with claws on guthix on a populated world (1500 +, quick rex spawns) + any idea on hp xp too? (nearing 99 too there :-)). Is it hard to get in w/o suicider? I heard there are some pretty good techniques.
  8. D chain from KQ :-)
  9. You dont use mage prayer, so you dont use any prayer at all? Would you think, with a unicorn, its possible to survive just with scrolls (and perhaps rapid heal) and not mage praying. (using verac method w/o sgs). Or should I just mage pray. And if I mage pray, should I bring brews? I can imagine unicorn healing enough (just got it, so not sure). I was also wondering why you took brews with the unicorn/guthan method, I'm pretty sure that with guthan, sgs, unicorn, and perhaps, mage praying, you can stay there *forever* (as long as you have mage pray). Thanks in advance
  10. Ray, I'm also buying B staves daily, but I can only buy 64 a day. What am I doing wrong? :o
  11. Hey, I'm deciding between using grey or red chins and would like to know the xp per. With the assumptions of 170 xp per grey chin, and 230 per red chin (90+ ranged, void, using 10 percent ranged pray, just assumptions, I've done red before though), and grey chins at 390, reds at 690, I save 3M on using grey chins, and I "waste" 4 more hours. So if I make more than 750k an hour (which I dont), I should use red chins. Can anyone confirm that xp, or correct me?
  12. I've noticed it too, and made a thread on it at offical forums. I think Jagex is making phats extra sensitive to sales, but in order to not make them go down too steep, they've lowered the trade marigins. So this way a phat can only go (and will go, cause they are more sensitive now) down 1.8M in stead of 9M. Pretty neat of them IMO.
  13. That's all nice and dandy, but the thing is, Ecto'ing has never been a viable option ever since POH came out. Anyone using ectofunctus doesnt know the time-money economics. It's like they would upgrade mith daggers. People could complain how training melee has become easier, however, that all doesnt matter, since people can use better things anyway.
  14. First of all, use a normal fond. Secondly, you are totally not getting the point. Even when the restrictions were at 100, those problems existed (limit on battle staves, green dhide bodies, etc...). Btw, a smither can still sell all his addy plates without a limit, there's only one on buying. Anyway, this doesnt really have anything to do with what the author wants to talk about. He wants to talk about the NEW restrictions, and the fact that they are blocking out merchanters.
  15. Same, thought guthan body is really really ugly.
  16. Erm ranger boots are +8 ranged and snakeskin + 3 (I think).
  17. Not worht it, got mine for like 600k (actually, got like 2 pages myself, when they were very common). Btw, why is everyone saying fury. You dont need a fury when ranging, cause you're probably safe spottign anyway..
  18. Brew, and then instantly after it a shark. (or the other way round, nto sure). Takes only the time of one bite.
  19. Also, price limits on party hats have changed. The price range is now only one percent (or whatever), in stead of 5 percent. Example: red partyhat goes from 195-198 (in stead of like 180-210). ...
  20. What's next? I has just happened. Party hat prices now only have a 1 percent limitation, or whatever. Example: red phat price range: 195-198M (in stead of like 180-210)
  21. I just finished a really long bursting trip and I'd like to add my share of hints and tips. Conserving energy First of all, don't bring too much prayer gear. I'm already using only 3-5 prayer per lure, and with 12 ppots, I can last 4k casts. That's more than enough for me. If you really want to bring something, bring a verac skirt. Verac skirt + ahrim top is better defence, lighter, and only 1 prayer less than Verac brassard + ahrim bottom. My weight at the start of a trip is 22kg Wear boots of lightness. You only loose 5 magic attack compared to infinity boots, AND you risk 800k less. Now the most important ones. WALK IF YOU CAN. There's two occasions where you should walk (assuming you use the safe spot at the bend). 1) I'm starting when you have just gathered your charms. You RUN to the lobster at the ladder, then you RUN to the bend (click on minimap), and once there's a distance between you and the three lobs, start WALKING. During this whole process, wear your verac skirt, and dont protect. Once you are at the bend, turn on protection, and start running to lobster 8 and 9. Doing this will waste very little time, because if running all the time, you have to wait for the lobsters at the bend, cause if you're too fast, they will get trapped. 2) Right after you're in the "Dagannoth trap", as soon as there's a distance between you and the rock lobsters, TURN OFF protect melee, and TURN OFF RUN. Walk to the bend, and sidestep at the right time. Doing this won't waste ANY time, cause you have to wait for the lobsters anyway (if you run). By using these 2 "tricks", with 22kg, I NEVER have energy problems, and yet, I'm not losing time by unnecessary walking. Be easy on the clicks. Clicking a location several times will cause your character to run back and forth. Learn to know where to click on the minimap (the dag trap for instance is really easy on the minimap), and only click when necessary. Conserving prayer/water runes Bring a holy wrench. Bring a verac skirt. Don't pray at the first three lobs you lure. Stop praying right after the Dagannoth trap, and when there's a distance between you and the lobsters. Bring a water staff. You loose +5 magic, but you save 60 gp per cast (and gain +1 prayer). It's also easy for lobster bashing, when there's a DK team. Some data With 102 mage bonus, weighting 22kg, using the above "tricks", at 96 magic, assuming no distractions (dags, ...). Each lure (starting from when you start running to the ladder, ending when you your first burst hits) should only take 40 seconds. (38 seconds if you are really good) A full cycle should take under 2 minutes. There's quite a bit of variety in it cause sometimes a tank lobsters lives very long. If you're lucky, you can finish a round in under 1 min 50 sec. I end up with the same, or even more energy, as before. A cycle takes 17-20 casts. (no idea on actual average) A lure takes 3-5 prayer points (wearing fury, zammy book and verac skirt as prayer boosters) In a trip of 3996 casts of bursts, I got (also see picture). 1081 crimsons 578 golds 282 greens 28 blues In that trip, I used 11.75 prayer pots (4) Of these 3996 casts, 136 were blood bursts. Picture of me leaving after a looong trip. Hope this helps, Bedman
  22. Just followed Muggi's "guide" and got these scores: Ranged: 1280 (I am 91 ranged, didnt fail the ducks, might have failed spinning guy, not sure) Magic: somewhere around 1000-1180 (I am 95 magic, failed twice) Agilty: 1180 (I am 71 agility and failed once)
  23. Sorry, but there's a few mistakes in there. First of all, your xp rates are wrong. With iron you can manage 40k an hour, that's more than 34k an hour you mentioned. Second of all, why didn't you mention superheating while mining? It's really the only viable option next to powermining IMO. I heard it's still decent xp, and decent profit too. Cuts down on banking, A LOT. Besides that, it's pretty good, but really, leaving out superheating...
