Hey, I was trying to decide between grey or red chinchompa's to train rainged. For that I'd need a few data: Xp/hour with grey chins, 90 + ranged, void and 10 percent ranged prayer Xp/hour with red chins, idem Thanks Bedman

If you look at the mathematic side, it's NOT worth it. Why? 1) If you powertrain in the time you are getting that torso, you can get over 500k melee xp. The + 4 str will never save that much time/xp 2) the decreased defense stats (compared to guth or torag plate) makes you eat more, loosing time. HOWEVER, it's nice to hit 1-2 more the game is not that bad it's a cool thing to have You can compare it to void, also probably not worth it, but still, nice to have.

Lol, I am having the same problems as you guys. First time I kind of just did what I wanted. Bad score, but decent. Second time I did exactly what the audience asked, 600 pts on average -.- Gonna try for better next week.

making your own nats is a really stupid response. You're still loosing as much money as you did before. I'd suggest to alch battlestaves. Buy em for med (9075 each) and alch away (alchs for 9300 each). You need quite a bit of cash for that though, AND you can only buy in 100s, so you should buy them from the forum. Another nice training method IMO is fire waving steel drags. Pretty afkable, decent xp (not great but still), and a chance of a visage. If you dont get a visage you loose money though.

Very nice guide! I recently went there to get 76-80 thieving. I already knew more or less how it went (had read Zarfot's guide a month or 2 ago), but still, it's been a big help. Anyway, I went there with a bunyip and prayer gear using rapid restore. And ... I still had to use food. (For that, I just bought wine in the bar, like Zarfot suggests). However, I must admit I made (especially in the beginning) a lot of mistakes. In the end, when things were getting better, I managed a bit over 200k xp an hour. Not that I was fully focused for an hour, I timed like 10 minutes. I also dont get all the fuss about HD. I've been doing it in HD, and didnt have any problems at all (besides misclicking etc). And the guy claiming to get 300k xp an hour, that's pretty impossible if you ask me. Zarfot mentions 250-275k is possible, but then you'd need to be a real pro. So a lvl 85 thief claiming to get 300k per hour, hmm... Thanks a lot for the guide. Made my 80 thief goal double as fast. Afraid I wont be using it for a while now though.

Trust me, I've visited acidy's cc enough to know how it works. Anyway, you could be right it's not the acidy cc itself that controls it. Thing is, it IS controlled. Wether it's Acidy's cc, or another one, it doesnt matter. And yes, some items go down every year, at the end of vacation. But like Laura said, it's a pretty big coincidence P Pots suddenly jump up after I hear "buy out ppots" messages in Acidy.

Like others have stated, granite is much easier to get now. I think it will go down to about 100-200 per 500g piece. So a 5kg lump will be around 1-2k each.

You really, really, can blame all the price changes on kids going to school. It would be a really, really big coincidence, that all these items are going up, right after they crashed in price because of bank sales. Acidy's clan chat is not where price manipulation occurs. Acidy's cc is for people who are in separate hoarding groups to tell everyone that their chosen item is going up while they are selling the item in the GE. Then the dumping. Of course, even when the dump is unsynchronized, everyone can dump their items. Why? Because people who read the basic merch guides see the item is going up and try to buy into it, meaning everyone can sell theirs and the people who lose are the ones who believe the merch guides. The panicy "noobs" are the ones who dump early and that's why they hang out in acidy's cc because they can't stay in any real hoarding groups. I've read, and reread your reply (first paragraph) and still don't get most of it #-o Anyway, I've been cheching some price graphs, and you might be right about the school kids. The prices did initially drop because of kids selling their gear. However, this really doesnt account to all the "manipulated" stuff. There's other stuff, thas has been going, where there's no link with kids starting school. However, the price rise is still IMO a combined effect of smart people buying when it's low, and rumors spreading. (what I've explained before). Then the second paragraph. If I get you right, you say Acidy cc is always behind the real hoarders? You are implying people are secretely hoarding an item that's going down/is low in value, and then spread the rumor to buy it out, right? Well, in some cases that might be true. In other cases however, I really dont see how they can possible make profit. I've seen items being "advertised", that were still going down/ were on their lowest, so I cant see how any secret hoarder can make profits by selling it at that time. (Of course, if they manage to create interest in the item, they are the first one to have them, probably for min price, so they make more than the others, but still. What I mean is: sometimes the item didnt really work and crashes already after a day, so I don't see how these secret hoarders can possible make a huge profit there).

You underestimate the power of rumors and and panicking. It's a chain reaction. An item is low (for some reason, doesnt matter), a merchanting clan decides to buy it out. Word spreads. The item gets harder to buy. Normal people, or sole merchers detect this (they can't get it at max instantly). They jump on the train too. Tadamm. Then the dumping. Of course, even when the dump is synchronized, not everyone can dump their items. That's why the big guys secretely dump early. All the noobs hoping for an easy merch, panic, and sell theirs quickly, for min, if max or med aint selling.

You're right there. However, I think they'll be bought often enough to make them go down, so they wont last very long as junk.

Wow, granite cutting is extremely good money making atm. One block of 2kg costs 2k. You get 4 blocks of 500g out of it. Cutting 6 blocks of 2 kg in 24 blocks of 500g takes 25 sec (banking including). Atm, you make about 13k profit per inventory (if 500g still sells). Over 120 inventories can be done an hour. :o

I'd do a game of cwars, going all out on barrages, good arrows, etc. Or risk everything in BH.

Since your not factoring in the time to gather the raw materials, a lot of skills are faster: Summoning (blue charms :o) Cooking sharks Flethching rune arrows / addy arrows / rune bolts? (unless its changed) Making air battlestaves ... But obviously, you know that.

Yep best way by far. Bit of a trek but worth it. Wear magic protective gear so Karil's is best and then just cannon. I bring bones to peaches runes for the little healing I need. Are you saying you dont use prayer at the mutated bloodvelds while cannoning? From what I've heard you get pretty much owned then?

Xp there is like 90k an hour (tops?) so 450k an hour You need 9m xp, so 20 days

A burst costs around 1k gp. It gives an average 180 xp per burst at lobs. You do 500-600 bursts an hour. Count it out :D

Very nice, I'm always surprised how little people use this. When I used this "trick", I managed to get my shards for around 22 each. So that's 3 gp saved and not 1.5 like you said. However, that was a few months ago. Yet, I still think there are some pouches left where you can still get for around 22 each. And also, buying for 20 each on forums with junk = bad. Why? Junk has value too, and can be used for much better things (if you have it lying in your bank anyway, that is). Example? Ive got 2 animal masks and 1 third age piece that I cant sell cause I dont have enough junk... I cant lend out my godsword cause I dont have a decent amount of junk. Conclusion: save your junk :D

D legs, or even rune legs, are good enough to survive there with a bunyip. If I'd go I'd take: Rune/dragon legs/skirt Fighter torso Rune defender etc... More than enough, you dont need dharok plates and stuff like that.
