@Anonymouse - Thanks for that, I have thought of doing just that except I'm in it pretty much exclusivly for the mining exp. Because I like to keep my levels even 5's and 10's if I did get a smithing level from superheating then I'd feel compelled to get the next 4. And at 85 smithing, levels cost a whole lot of GP (or take months). @Cpchris - Sometimes you can really take advantage of manipulation clans, but if you're stuck with the items after the dump... :thumbdown: . that's something I've experienced and it's not pleasant. I lost about 8% of my investment so I've avoided piggy-backing on manipulation clans since. Looking at the charts I'd say a dump is looming. I'd beware. @Central_Keeper - Thanks for that, I hadn't thought about making jewelery but now that I think about it it seems like a good idea, thanks. This mining and banking is getting pretty annoying because every time I head off to the bank, some level 50 newb comes and mines the iron. When I start mining again they swear at me and say I'm a spot stealer....I think I'm gonna move to Rimington and just sell the ore to the Gen Store. I did it with yews even though they were 450 ea so I guess 275 gp iron isn't a big deal compared to that. I am making pretty decent GP on my flipping anyway.

So, my little 'vacation' into P2P is over, had a great time but it's nice to be back. So I got 71 mining from a quest and haven't mined in over 2 years (I hate it....a LOT). Since I keep all my stats even 5's and 10's I'm gonna get 75 mining. Does anyone have any ideas of good methods? As of right now I'm mining iron ore (and silver when it spawns) south of Varrock and banking it. It's great money but slow exp. I could power mine but dropping makes me mad. So does anyone have any super secret mining tips for a mining newb like me? Also, I'm 87 crafting and gonna get 90. I'm planning on cutting emeralds for exp but of course, manipulation clans hit emerald rings and that spiraled down Emerald ring > cut emerald > uncut emerald > all other uncuts > all other gems :wall: I guess I'll be waiting a month before prices become at least bareable...

Yes, lets all get back to helping the lazy price manipulator find items to manipulate. I tried to go to your cc and followed you little trail to the main cc, and guess what? You're just another cc that manipulates talismans and even auto spams your own cc....in the words of the limbo chant....how low can you go?

If a player mod talks to me while I have private chat OFF I hope it's a very serious matter, not something simple as wether I bot or not.. You know: maybe I have private chat on for a reason? (I don't want to be bothered by questions).. If a pmod asks me such a question I consider that very rude, and I will probably simply ignore the pmod! Even if a Pmod does talk to another player, if they think they are botting, they would naturally observe you for a while. I guess its more so on judgment calls since I know alot of players out there multitask alot, and doesn't spend alot of time in the RS window itself. On the subject of AFKing, if you are right beside the computer, then it would be alright, I called it AFW, away from RS window, as you could be checking out forums and stuff, I even know several players play Starcraft, CS, txing on phone, and RS all at same time ( yeah, its insane) But if you leave you computer to go to bathroom or get a drink, I guess a few feet away, it would be considered as AFKing, unless you use wireless keyboard mouse, and have this remote goggle that allows you to transmit the info from video card itself which allow to play wireless since you can still have interaction with the input and affect the game (That would be pretty cool). On term of that, with the new lobby feature now, I wonder if you can log to lobby and then leave the computer and do something else and come back to enter the world again. Strict definition aside, it would be AFKing, but then again, you are not in the world training anyways? Well, at least you have the risk of someone entering your room still and mess around if you are not careful Even if you are multitasking you still have to come back to the game to click on your next monster / rock / tree so you should be able to see people talking to you. To clear things up for some people, simply being AFK isn't againt the rules. AFK TRAINING is against the rules. Its fine if you leave your little guy standing at the GE while you go grab a cup of tea or something, but if you leave your acc logged on and say, sitting in the middle of agressive monsters, that's what is against the rules. As for the lobby, when it was released a J Mod said it was usefull because you didn't have to enter your password every time you had to use the washroom or go to grab some tea. So yeah, leaving your acc logged on in the lobby is fine because, like you said, you're not activly in the world playing. EDIT:

I hear cabbage and needles are hot items that every new clan should hit. Seriously though, manipulation clans are the scum of the game (on par with bots) IMO. I read an interveiw with the leader of one of the largest clans and they said they didn't consider it scamming because they were only stealing a little amount of GP from a large number of people. :wall: The economy is messed up because of people like...you! How do I play the demo? I've looked all over and can't find out how to log in.

The simple answer is, yes there are still macros. There used to be 2 main types of macros. Gold farmers and main/pure macros. Gold farmers weren't always actual macros (players playing multiple accs at once to get GP to sell) but acted close enough that Jagex refered to them as macros for simplicity's sake. These have more or less been wiped out. Now all that remains are the people who macro on thier mains/pures. Jagex tries as hard as they can to catch them all, but as jagex evolves so do the macros. Also, those people that they mentioned were part of the bolt dupe, not macroing. Jagex did however stick a reference at the end of the article about how they don't like cheating of any sort, including macroing.

Just Offer/Smith - X then enter like 100. Then take from your BoB whenever you have room. But if you run out of items in your inv. the offer/make X stops so make sure to take BoB before your inv is clear.

Thanks, I was thinking about spiders already so I'll just go there. As for the exp, does anyone know how much I will be getting per hour? I'm 82-80-80 with a bunyip and super pots. I only have 2 classes per day, and the homework that I do is easy enough that I can play and do HW so I think I should be able to squeek these levels in before F2P. I just really hate training with a rune scim :thumbsup:

I haven't done the quest and hate quests so I don't plan on doing it, unless there are no other spots to train but I'm sure there are.

Hey, I have 3 days left on my membership and I'm trying to get 85 attack because I like my stats even 5's and 10's and combat is deathly slow in F2P. What monster should I train on? Preferably something semi-afkable because I have some school work to do. I have DFS, Torag, Whip, SGS everything else I've sold. I can buy bunyips, pots, and food though. Thanks in advance.

Future updates should be considered. Sure, the last few months have been 'dry' for epic updates, but when you look at the end of 09 and January 2010 there were some fairly large updates in there. Jagex can't just keep pumping out epic update after epic update otherwise a) they'll go broke from all the R&D money they spend, and b ) come to and end-game scenerio much faster. From the sounds of things, Jagex is looking at 4(?) 'epic sized' updates confirmed for this year. That's good enough for me. But what I don't want them to do is what WoW does, just hold all the little updates that are done until they have enough updates to just throw out all at once. I would much rather have Jagex do what they're doing. Make large updates at a decent pace but have smaller 'filler' updates in between. Although, if you want an huge update every month, I'm sure Jagex wouldn't mind as long as you pick up the tab...They're just simply not a big enough company to make giant, game changing updates a normal occurance. Hunting has a lot of good uses. Herblore, range, hides for summoning, implings with sweet loot. Farming gives us herbs (what would herb prices be like without farming?), foods, trees that we can cut privately. Summoning is THE most usefull skill there is. There are so many types of familiar from BoB's to fighting familiars. This is the only skill I really miss when I go F2P.

And if Jagex's Official RWT gave items rather then GP we would see massive deflation potentially on a larger scale then the one we say in the first half of 2008 when the goldfarmers sold off ALL their items. No one wants inflation on the scale that he had durring last summer, but I certainly don't want hyper deflation either.

All economic issues asside (and the effect would be disasterous), if Jagex changed their stance on RL effecting RS, then RWTers would take this as an invitation to come back. In order for Jagex to make any money they would have to charge say, $5 per mill. All the RWTers have to do is offer GP at $4 per mill. Then there goes all of Jagex's GP customers and the RWTers just have to put on their sites; "Cheaper then Jagex, and if they're selling GP why can't we?".

Again I say, Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that no one does. Sure, it wasn't as great as Jagex overhyped it to be, but then again, nothing is (which is why they're not giving any hints towards the new skill).
