Something wrong with SGS in the GE?
First off, wrong forum, Help & Advice is more suited to this. Second, there is a 4 hour limit. If you bought your SGS from someone and then tried to sell it in the GE under 4 hours later, it won't work. I'm not sure if that's why, but that's my first thought.

Should Jagex make a rule that forbids price manipulation aka "Merchant clans"?
I agree with this. If i want to buy 100Mil Pure ess why shouldnt i? But the problem with these price manipulators is that they buy out the entire stock of items for the sole purpose of forcing people to pay more for them (thus making the hoarders money). If you enjoy collecting gems or something, or just want to train a skill en masse, more power to you. But if you are buying the items with the sole purpose of raising prices, that IMO is wrong. I've talked to more then enough manipulation clan leaders to say that they know what they are doing to the economy and to the non-ranks. These clans manipulate prices by manipulating people. That is nothing short of scamming. By promising "Free millz if you join [merch cc]!" and then turning arround and pre-dumping the items the owners ARE scammers. I could rant and rave about this all day but I have to get back to studying for finals....I'll check back up here tonight when I have 'more time' and see if I can muster up enough mental power to get my thoughts into words.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
I was under the impression that this was put in to help F2P fishers, so I just assumed it was raw only...so I would assume it's both.

21-April-10 Slayer Challenges
It's a bit early to tell, but I think they will fall at least a bit. Until now, F2P could either flyfish for 30-40k exp/hour or do lobs/swords for 20k/hour with banking but more profit. I did a test a couple months ago at 80 fishing and I seem to recall getting 33k exp/hour selling my fish to the general store. So now, lobs/swords are both on par for exp with fly fishing but also a good chunk of GP. Even if you catch 300 lobs per hour (27k exp), that's like 140k which is really good for F2P skilling profit. So, being the best F2P training method, I'd say that the fish will take a small dive.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Well, for the longest time easters were ~3M in the GE making them the cheapest rares. This meant that anyone who wanted to start hoarding them, could buy far more eggs then any other rare. Plus, the entire rares market is dictated at whim by the hoarders who own the majority. Once an item is bought out, it just spirals out of control.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Exactly my question, because when the mintcake drop rate was changed, santa hats doubled in price because people moved their GP into other high priced items.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Except that his is in a tab and yours is maximized behind RS so I can see your friends and I could even stalk you...Not saying I would, but you have to be careful what you post on the internet.

The race to 120.....
It's sort of an 'unwritten rule' that J Mods don't even wear the cape until several people have it and the pics have gone all over the internet first. I would think that 120 has a different emote, maybe just a longer version of the first.

Why does Jagex get new skills so wrong?
Exactly what I was thinking. Hunters rewards Why should every skill have 'rewards'? Skills, like this game, are supposed to be played for the fun. The 'rewards' are just an extra. I'd say all of the sweet things you can get from hunter (chins, sallies, etc) is enough to be called a 'reward'. Summoning I agree, it wasn't great when it was introduced, but Jagex listened to the players that logicly came to them with suggestions. They improved the skill and now it is arguably the most usefull skill out there. You complain about the exp being slow In these days where people grind the same things over and over to get 200k+ exp/hour, I think it's refreshing that there is another skill where the exp is on par with RC, Agility, Slayer. This game has become so much about "How can I grind to 99 the fastest?" instead of "What is the most fun way to train this skill?" If you want to get fast levels, go buy some sharks, head to Rogues Den, and grind some levels. Also, you're not just training D'eering, your training ALL of your other skills. In the time it took me to get 47, I've got over 500k exp in other skills. I'm sure I could go on all day about how I don't like your opinion, but that's no fun. So I'll leave you with this: Do you enjoy the actual gameplay of D'eering? If so, shut up and just play it. It doesn't matter what it's called as long as you enjoy it. For all I care, they could have called it a new pie recipie. I enjoy it, and I will play it without complaining what it's called. If you don't like it, then go grind some more cooking levels. No one forces you to play new content. There are over 15,000 hours of gameplay, I'm sure you can find some that you like. If not.....why do you even play?

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Blue mask = 90M Red mask = 112M Santa hat = 58M Cash = 65M Total = 325M Purple = 334M So just using GE price, you're still around 10M short. However, the Phat is bought out. Purple was going for ~1 egg when they were 350 - 400M each. Your H'weens are rising fairly decently but I can forsee a small 3-4 day drop coming soon (see the 180 day graphs to see) so I wouldn't count anything you have as having a street price over GE price. EDIT: I just saw an offer for 3 Red H'weens + 95M for a Purple + junk, so using that it looks like Purple is 430M. So you're a good 100M short.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
I can see the rants forum now..." y duz it tak 70 dung 2 do dis gud quest dat is 2 hard 4 me 2 do as a pure!" Anyway, I like this idea, perhaps a quest where you unlock another level where there are tons of monsters and puzzles and you get to the final room only to discover it's empty. Then a high ranking Fremmy official tells you they found Bilrach's journal and it indicates that the 'mysterious power' was moved before Bilrach got to it and they lead you to another dungeon that needs 70 d'eering to enter. Then you work your way down and find Bilrach and the power, kill him and steal the power. Then in the follow-up quest, Guthix wakes up and you pwn him with the power and become supreme god of Geilinor!

WikiLeaks releases footage believed to show civilian deaths in Iraq in 2007.
I wasn't going to post because I don't want to get involved, but this brings up something that's torn me up for a long time. Several years back, in Afghanistan, Canadian troops were doing a routine nighttime training mission. An American plane flew over them and assumed they were hostiles shooting at the plane. As far as I know, they did not radio for information but it's been years since I read the story. So, they see gunshots on the ground and they bomb the hell out of the soldiers. I'm not in the military, so I don't know, but at the altitudes that planes fly, can AK's even get that high? Why would you fire at an unknown human being just because you see gunfire? You're not even in any direct threat. Back to this story, I was following the comments on MSN's coverage and one person who claimed to be ex-US military said that taking the 'splashdown' time and the speed of the bullets, he calculated the helicopter to be over 1km away. At that distance, I KNOW an AK wouldn't do any serious damage and (I only know from video games) an RPG is way too inaccurate to hit a moving helicopter at that range.

GP profit per hour? Dungeon skill?
You also have to remember that you're training many skills at once. I haven't reset my EXP counter since I started D'eering and I've got over 200k exp in all my skills in the time I've gotten level 39 D'eering. Why does every skill have to revolve around how can you make the most money?

New RuneScape Main Page
That's what I was thinking. I've spent over 30 minutes looking all over for a pic of Poppy but I can't find one. I can't even find her on jagex's youtube channel

Dungeoneering now the new slowest skill to level?
With the kind of rewards available, I don't think you'll see many players turning tokkens into XP... Plus, the trade in value is 1 xp for 1 token and you get 1 token per 10 xp in the dungeon so trading in the tokens gives you essentially a 10% exp bunus even IF you chose to use them on exp which, at these rates, is only ~500 extra exp/hour. Also, since they 'patched' the F2P exp rates, it is by far the slowest skill. At level 1 RC you can get 5k exp/hour, even at lvl 38 I'm still only getting 1.5k exp/hour dungeoneering.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Yes, and you get bonus exp for killing them all. Really? I usually just run through and only kill the ones I need to for guardian doors....guess I should start doing that now. What is the 'Level Mod' and how does it determine the % multiplier that I get? Sometimes I get -12% and sometimes I get +5%, I'm confused.

Rollback due to RC glitch
same. they took my binded weapon away. :x I still have mine....I guess for once F2P wins

Intriguing find at Daemonheim
Cept we know Bilrach the mahjaratt is in the bottom of the dungeon now via the mysterious journals etc ppl found and he claims to be more powerful than zemergoul etc now whihc kinda explains the strnage power Actually, I'm pretty sure the 'strange power' is what Bilrach is there trying to find because in the journals he says that he is trying to find a source of great power. And he does claim to be more powerful then Zemergoul so Bilrach + Strange power = ???? (think Stone of Jas-esque)

GP profit per hour? Dungeon skill?
The first things that come to mind are: Gem bag, holds 100 gems. This would make gemrock mining much faster and as of now it's already like 750k per hour ( http://forum.tip.it/topic/263020-in-depth-gem-rock-mining-guide/ ) Coal bag, holds 27 coal. You could either use then when mining to reduce time to bank, but the big one is smelting bars. Before you could make 4 addy bars per 'trip' but with this you'll be able to make 7. And since the running is where you lose most of the time, I'm assuming this would speed up bar/hour by 1.5x. Frost Tome acts as infinite free water runes. "nuff said.

Rollback due to RC glitch
If you would read, it says it's a rollback from the last system update which was ~30 minutes before the shutdown. The only thing that will be rolled back farther then that is the HighScores which were rolled back to last night. As soon as you log on and off, your HS will be back to normal. So far the server has been offline for, what? Like 2 hours? With 720 hours in a month, you are losing (assuming $6 per month) 2.4 cents. If you want, I can send you 2...no wait, I'll be generous and send you the full 3 cents.

Rollback due to RC glitch
Could a forum mod please update the first post again except with all the new information? It seems people are only reading the first 2 pages where we all thought it was a 12h rollback.
-
Rollback due to RC glitch
There was nothing right about people gaining 1M RC exp in 5 minutes. It's been said already that only the highscores went back 12h and the game will only be rolled back 30 minutes. That's not that much time considering the impact the bug had on exp.
-
Rollback due to RC glitch
That doesn't make sense. I had 82 rc from glitch. Then I logged out, checked highscores, and was back at 75. They did another rollback and my dung lvls got [bleep]ed

Rollback due to RC glitch
Appearantly Jagex can't get their decimal places right today, rather then rolling back 30 minutes it looks more like 300 minutes... :wall: I see a fair number of people quitting after this who were on the fence because of the skill.

Rollback due to RC glitch
The question is, How could this have happened anyway? It's not like it was a simple decimal being shifted over 1 from 1 to 10 exp per ess, it was 1 to 1000, if it was a decimal problem, why does Jagex even care about 3 decimal places? Although, in the Game Update notes during the update that 'broke' the exp Jagex did say they were altering the RC exp rates, but still, 1000x what it was seems like more then a simple mispalcing a '.'.
