  1. Or, you can have all 4 of your teammates running around wildly scaring the ferrets in an attempt to perhaps get one on a pad. I hear that works.... I mean, it only took 10 minutes for them to stop doing what they were doing and let me finish the puzzle...but it worked....right? :wall:
  2. @Loving_Brah I don't know how you're getting 70-100k exp/h in F2P, but could you please tell me how? Because that's at least tripple my average beyond anything I've gotten. Also, Sees_All was not saying that F2P should have no exp limits, or disadvantages. Rather, he was saying that Jagex needs consistancy in how they impliment those limits. Why should only "5% of F2Pers" (even though the percentage of CB > 90 at Daemonheim is FAR greater then 5%) who have played the game for a long time be penalized while a newbie can get much higher exp rates? If Jagex is going to impliment exp reductions for F2P, make it for all F2Pers. That being said, I personally don't think that Jagex needs so many reductions in F2P dungeons. We already have to deal with P2P puzzles, level 100+ skill doors, member skill doors, and up to T10 foes (I personally haven't seen T11, though I have a feeling it's possible). With all that already there, why should we get a further 50% exp reduction? Especially considering the way exp is calculated where the system tripple penalizes you for not doing something (level mod, base exp, and prestige exp are all lowered by leaving doors locked). I've done plenty of dungeons and the most exp I've ever gotten was 42k from a F35C6 5:5. That was with all but 3 rooms opened due to P2P doors and all monsters killed in the rooms we opened. That floor took us very close to an hour and a half to complete and that was with competent team mates. I would have to say that the most exp/h you can assume in F2P is 25k/h including C1 rushes etc. In a skill where exp is supposed to be exponential, Jagex is cutting F2P off very early on that curve just from accessable floors alone. Not to mention all those extra reductions that we get. Overall, good article. Not the 'best written article of the year', but it presented many good facts, opinions, and best of all; it wasn't a wall of text.
  3. I assumed you wanted to get 60 crafting but now that I look at your stats, you already have 60. It would help if you told us what level you're looking to get. If you're only looking for a few levels, you're better off using a cost-effective method right off the bat. But if you're looking for a whole lot of levels, just take a fast method and then use the time saved to make money. Really, it's all up to you and how much money you have in the bank to invest in supplies and the ammount you're willing to lose. Without that info, there's not much I can do, so I'll just leave this here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/254457-grimys-spreadsheets/
  4. If you're just looking for training, try the copper that's right beside the iron ore in dwarven mines (that is, if you have the dunge level for the deposit box). The exp isn't that much different from iron given the time you'd spend looking for open worlds and it's nice profit. As long as you can't 1-hit iron every time, you're going to end up getting crashed at iron anyway, might as well stick to an ore that no one competes for,
  5. You've been a member of these forums sinve 05 and you still don't know that this belongs in Help & Advice? Unspam: spin flax
  6. I seem to remember getting 200k range exp/h at 84 range at AA. So that means you should be able to get ~66k Constitution exp/h. I seem to recall someone saying its like 300k exp/h range near 99 so that equates to ~100k constitution exp/h. My suggestion to you, if you really want 99 and GP is no problem: Chins @ Ape Atoll to 99 range Burst / Barrage @ Rock lobs for 99 mage Melee slayer for the rest if you're still not 99.
  7. From what I've seen, letting F2P'ers on the forums did nothing but good things, but a total level of 350 is FAR too low. I'm not concerned about the newbie F2P'ers who typically come asking for help etc, I'm more concerned about the high leveled F2P's and P2P's who will use this as a method to spam up the forums even more. I see it all the time in game and in cc's. Players make a few accs where they can act like fools and not have to worry because "I have a P2P account that you can't do anything to". For the most part, the forums were immune to this because getting high exp was pretty hard, but 350 total levels is like what? level 15 in all skills? For someone who is determined to run the forums into the ground with spam, that's nothing.
  8. Really? Phew, I thought there was a server fire or something because I thought it may have been just several servers because the homepage still showed 28k players online. I lost connection (which is normal for me) but I could still use other sites which I thought was odd. Where did they mention it? Because I would have loved some heads up... EDIT: The homepage still shows 25k players online... that's odd because I can't even get into the lobby.
  9. Just got 90 crafting  Felt like it took forever, though I guess that's because half the time I'm reading TIF or talking in a cc. Since I'm not crafting anymore, I'll say my secret item. [hide=Shhh, it's a secret]Diamond Necklaces[/hide] If you time your buying and selling right, you can easily come out even and the exp/h is a fair bit higher then gold necklaces.
  10. How did you come to that? I divided the cost by GP/h, but if I'm wrong (which I would love to be with such high numbers) please show me where I went wrong. You can buy 10K big bones every four hours, so that's 60K a day. 869000/60000 = 14.4 days of nonstop buying = 347.6 hours Oh, I see. In the calculations I meant time to make enough money to buy 869k big bones, not the GE time needed to aquire them. I changed the post to clarify that.

  12. Jagex really needs to make bonecrusher F2P. It takes 869K big bones to get 99 prayer which (if you get them for 650 ea) costs 564.85M. For that, I could get 99 prayer, herb and a santa hat in P2P. Yes, i understand that P2P should have advantages, but tbh the advantes of making 1M/hour with few skills and 3M/h with max melees should be enough of an advantage that giving F2P a cheap way to train prayer should be a no brainer. Cost = 565M GP/h = 200k Hours to make 565M= 2825 hours Buried/h = 2500 Hours to bury = 348h Total time to 99 = 3176 hours No one should ever put that kind of time just into one 99. Making bonecrusher f2P would not only give F2Pers free prayer exp, but also allow big bones to fall which would make them much better gp/exp for those members using gilded alter so it would pull d-bones down in price a little too. So really, no one loses with F2P having bonecrusher.
  13. You also have wepons higher then level 40, and food higher then healing 120.
  14. F48 = 95 F49 = 97 F50 = 99 and so on....so yes, you need 95 to access the first of the new floors and 119 to access F60 (I think they said they were going to 60, not too sure though). Depending on what levels they decide to put new bosses on, you may get 1 new boss at 95, maybe not.
  15. The ghosts look like Fremmy warriors which means they only died recently (since the mysterious power which was when? April?). The jornals etc were left by people (and 'monsters') that went with or in search of Bilrach. The Fremmy's never got far enough down to have seen anything usefull. They're just making us do the hard work.
  16. With a lot of time put into auctions / W2 I'm sure he could have gotten better then a yellow, but from what I gathered from his RSOF post he was just kinda nonchalant about how much he wanted for it but you'd have to wait for him to answer that. I mean, if I got an item like that in the GE I wouldn't be picky about what colour phat I got for it, but hey, that's just me. Pretty much, I see these items ranging from yellow to red depending on number of sellers of the particular item that day/week and patience of the seller.
  17. So it looks like you found a bug, and instead of doing the right thing and reporting it to Jagex and only showing the population after it's patched, you decide to show everyone the bug so that people can abuse it en masse. Thank you very much.
  18. On the first day of Dungeoneering many high level members came to F2P to get fast levels because of lower level bosses. Jagex didn't like this, so they put a hidden 50% exp reduction on F2P dungeoneers over 90 combat. Now, doing a dungeon with a low level player reduces / nullifies this reduction. I'm not sure if this is because it 'tricks' the game into forgeting it, or if you just get more exp for doing all the combat work but either way, you get more exp then if everyone was 90+.
  19. No, it was created by jagex. It is undeniable that the current way ge works doesn't allow for satisfactory price changes, thus causing this concept. I can hardly call coping with a broken system greedy. In any case, i don't think this topic is about discussing this very subject. Yes, it's the fault of an imperfect system, but you must admit that there are many people who take advantage of these technical limitations (knowingly or unknowingly). Manipulation clans, hoarders, and generally selfish people are all rampant in this game all doing their part to work the GE to serve their purposes. Sure, I have no problem with merchanting (buying an item with speculation that it will rise naturally or due to updates etc) or flipping (merchanting stable items based on the natural hour-to-hour fluctuations), but intentionally manipulating the markets by either buyouts (manipulation clans) or intentionally withholding items from the market (MH that instruct members to not sell drops) is just agaisnt the spirit of the game and just plain mean. There's a bank vid of a rich player on a TIF thread (forget which thread) who has 3 Ely's. In the vid he states that he doesn't plan on merching / selling anything in his bank, so that must mean that he fully intends to keep all 3 Ely's stored away in his bank only to gather dust. What is the use of keeping 3 rare (but not discontinued) items in your bank? Wouldn't you want to share the awesome power of the Ely with others? Even if it's just a sale to a friend, you're still releasing the items 'into the game' which helps to bring prices to a more natural price. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-street price. What I am saying is that people are selfish and tend to manipulate the street prices far longer then they naturally would last.
  20. In GE price: Craker = 710M Phat Set = 3650M 2 Mask Sets = 475M 2 Santas = 204M 2 Disks = 213M 2 Eggs = 225M 2 Pumpkins = 250M Total GE price for them = 5727M So yeah, even if he sells them all for GE price, then he'll never have to worry about GP again (unless he wants the buy back rares). My suggestion to him would be to sell off the lowest rares first (santas, then masks, then edibles) and NEVER sell the Phat set. They're far too valuable to get the proper 'street price' unless you're the owner of a manipulation clan with billions in crashing junk. Even without selling the Phats / Cracker he'll still be able to get 1.3B which is more then enough to get anything he wants within reason.
  21. M'kay, exactly what I figured. I've always done raw materials but since I've had loads of homework I haven't bothered to check which one's are good. Oh well, guess I can't always be the one making hundreds of M's. I guess I'll stick to my free crafting exp and not worry about making any GP until I can put in the effort.
  22. Yeah I'm making about 600k a day with 8m start up money. And in F2P, that kind of money goes a long way. What sort of stuff do you flip? I don't need your exact items, but a general theme would be nice. I was a doing pretty well before this summer, but over the summer I invested in 1M gold ores (thought smithing update would be in summer) while I took 4 months off for work/sports and that tanked. Since then I've tried other ores, but they just go the same route. Stable until I buy them, then just fall.
