  1. For "emote clues" (do "X" at "Y" wearing "Z"), you may need more ranged, as blue dragonhide comes to mind as one of the possible items required http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=treas ... .htm#emote
  2. P2P solutions possible.... This isn't your signature account, so it depends... cheap methods, good methods, whatever. If you want ACTUAL combat (getting kills & drops), then I'd be inclined to go with safespot fire strikes - with a hit curse to help with hit/damage XP. You could use water bolt, but better to hold the chaos runes until at least earth bolt. Targets? The south room Ankou safespot would be good, and their P2P drops are more generous than their F2P (deaths). Anything else that can't hit back, maybe some low level slayer taswks would be possible. I admit to being an excessive fire striker, and will take 1k+ strikes to the Ankou, coming away with a potful of laws - in P2P, you'd get deaths as well.

http://www.rsbandb.com/runescape_player ... e_designer Java applet This one appears to be pretty strict on valid layout, regarding access to levels and room connection. The RHQ one will let you place a garden in the basement and a dungeon room on the ground level, or place unconnected rooms.
  4. The armours you can display are Castlewars (Helm, Body, Shield) and Mithril, Adamant or Rune (Full helm, Plate & Skirt). Giving a bonus when using recoverable items with oak planks. You require the smithing level to make the armour, to display each metal armour. I wonder, could a 99 smither display Rune with a painted helm?
  5. Hi-alch value for a dragonfire is 120000, so is anything else above that - pretty sure it must be in the 3 items, not sure if it would be the top one.
  6. To be REALLY clever, tie it in to the stat lookup (plus manual entry of missing stats and F2P or P2P outfit selection), so that it could show if an outfit was possible. And sets, already mentioned, great idea, as even semi-set variations could be assembled faster from a set.
  7. If there are supermarket trolleys that are coin-return, round up lost ones and get the coins back.
  8. One odd shift I noticed, the specific randoms for an action seem to be a lot less common. eg. Killling stuff in the stronghold to increase my sceptre parts collection, burying bones as I get them. Used to get a lot of Leo's (gravedigger), plus Zombie or shades... not seem them in ages, but burying the bone seems to bring a lot of Molly (evil twin), Prison Pete, Drill Demon, Pinball, Mime, and the odd maze. Can't remember the last actual bone burying random I got. Safespotting the Catablepon, as soon as they have gon non-aggressive, I'm expecting a random, either a "take away" which will aggro them again, or a mystery box. While they are "random", there are so many things which tip the balance - and my last bout of serious level pounding gave me full random event clothing (including Mime with full emotes), full Laderhosen, full camo ... already had full Zombie.
  9. Rather cumbersome compared to http://rsdo.net/RSDOnline/Calc/Equipment.aspx Any chance of pinching the dropdown list approach?
  10. Not sure if they are above/below breakeven, but it's got to be pretty close. If they are a bit below breakeven, you could always multiply iron arrows using the Minotaurs, then trade them up to steel on the Zombies
  11. Dummies to 8. Vampire slayer gives a good chunk of attack XP, but needs enough combat power to take out a quick-healing Count Draynor. If melee skills are weak, he can certainly be taken out with 20 ranged, not sure how much less you could get away with in ranged or mage or if it could be meleed with 10 and black. Maybe mage is the best options - confuse & weaken until you can fire strike (13) then try and take him with strikes, as you can level mage easily without HP. If member, you could possibly recoil it. 4,825 Attack exp for the quest.
  12. The most that is possible for a Win95 game with no patch, is to try running the installer in compatibility mode, then the game in compatibility mode. For C&C 95, a patch is also required Rediscover this classic here with an official free download http://www.commandandconquer.com/intel/ ... 1#NewsMain
  13. Check the memory tab, it should show whet the current timings and ratio are. Depending on the chipset, it may not be able to take advantage of faster memory, and the PC2100 (DDR266) may be holding up ok at an overclocked DDR300.
  14. Also as part of a fail curse outfit, make sure you remove any amulet with a magic or all attack bonus - amazing how often you see a curse trainer with an accuracy, power or even an ammy of magic. The staff has a bonus, but the alternative is to use a lot more runes. If you make runes, Water staff and Earth runes tand to be favaourite, due to the shorter path and higher XP of Earth compared to Water. If you buy runes, then earth staff & water runes is better, as it uses less of them.
  15. http://www.runescape.com/aff/miniclip/k ... le_id=1958 An alternative to tipping bolts, would be poisoning - you cannot poison tipped bolts. But Mithril emerald enchanted are better than poisoned. You need a decent fletching level to tip them though, higher than to make the bolts in the first place (and you said you bought them).
  16. If you are not collecting, then you may need to use accurate to maximise the hit per arrow, same reasoning as for the Crystal Bow, where you use up charges. If you are picking up arrows, then rapid, without a doubt, as the occasional extra/better hit on accurate does not make up for the lower rate of fire.
  17. Not so much by the colour, but by the position, though it is traditional for the AGP slot to be brown when the PCI's are white. If there are old-style ISA slots, they are usually black.
  18. http://support.intel.com/support/graphi ... 009073.htm The 845GL is an "onboard AGP" with no AGP expension slot. Make VERY VERY sure that you do have an AGP slot if you are going to get an AGP card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGP I rather suspect this will not have one, and looking is a lot more reliable than hardware detection.
  19. Failed cursing: Cheap, effective, boring as hell, as each spell must be click-cast. Fire strikes: Not as cheap as curses, lower XP per cast, but will repeat until target is dead, with a possible drop - if there is a chance of a good but inaccessible drop (eg. Rune med from the caged Lesser) then take telegrab runes. You COULD fail strikes, and then be virtually AFK (browsing forums etc.), but that means giving up the hitdone part of the XP. I'd rather burn a K or 2 of strikes on something with drops, possibly some decent alchables (anything worth significantly more than a nat). Some players favour Earth strikes over Fires, as they use 1 air instead of 2, but that results in a higher use of minds for the same damage & XP.
  20. It only says PCI slots, not AGP, so that may limit it to PCI (thats JUST PCI, NOT PCI-E) graphics cards, which tend to be more expensive and poorer perfoming than either AGP or PCI-E. Once upon a time, bog-standard PCI was the fastest card slot available, now it's the slowest. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... _-14130289 Possible option, the 6200 is not absolutely storming but good compared to most other PCI's at this price - not surprised it's out of stock Searching for PCI is difficult, as it finds PCI-E as well - even sites wich index them by type will often have some mis-categorized, sometimes a lot!
  21. Parallel to the question of "ideas running out" is the question of RS2 being able to handle it. The question of hitpoint balance against more powerful weapons is one that often crops up. Ultimately, RS2 will end up on the wane, it's already surpassed anything that would ever be expected of a Java browser game, but that does rather paint it into a corner. Mind you, you only have to look at other Java projects like LG3D, to show that Java has capabilities far beyond what Jagex are currently using. Another possibility, the free play / item cash shop model of funding seems to be gaining considerable ground in MMORPGs, maybe Jagex might head down that route for the future of RS. Where does RS2 end up? Does it continue to evolve, as there have already been some major engine updates, by some ways of counting, RS is already at version 5. Does it get superseded by "RS3", the same as RS2 replaced RSC? Does Runescape eventually hit a "finished" state, where it will no longer be updated and just run for as long as there are still paying or F2P players.
  22. Knives: Made using smithing only, 5 per bar, one handed. Darts: Smithing + fletching (& quest required), 10 per bar + feathers, one handed. Bolts: Smithing + fletching (optionally, tip & enchant), 10 per bar, one handed - with crossbow. Arrows: Smith + fletch, 15 per bar, 2 handed (used with best bow). You get 3x as many arrows as knives (per bar), but the smithed knives are ready to go without any more steps.

Reasons to stay F2P: 1. You don't want to spend 5$ (or more) for a month 2. You have levels that are great in F2P, but weak in members 3. You are too poor (in game) to afford members equipment 4. You'd rather not have do deal with poison, Ancients and all the other high powered stuff 5. You consder pure F2P levels more of a challenge Reasons to go members occasionally: 1. You can make supplies for when you are F2P 2. You can stack your bank. 3. You can train Agility and run longer in F2P as well.
  24. If you've looked at the updates, than that should convince you to return, not return, or just try hitting a few of the new areas, skills & quests. If you are easily bored by repetition though, maybe RS (or any MMORPG) is not for you, as there will always be an element of grinding for skills or resources. There is lot of new content (members) and even F2P had the odd update, a big one being the Stronghold of Security, and a lesser one being the move of Party Pete's to Falador and opening to F2P.
  25. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=24014 According to this, the graphics is a Geforce 7350 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=10607 More features of the tower shown here It IS a low end graphics card, but enough to handle Vista eyecandy, and it will be that which limits the performance index. On the other hand, the quad core will fly through any benchmark or real application with effective multithreading, embraced by many video and graphics rendering applications, for instance. Without a better graphics card, it is not a gaming system, as the card it is equipped with is merely the next tier above onboards. With competion still driving DX10 progress, best not to upgrade grapics unless you have to, as the price/performance points are likely to continue to get better.
