Eventually they'll run out.

Featured Replies

Well I'm pretty every 2nd person has thought about this. That Jagex has had millions of idea's but aren't they going to run out, I mean come on you can go only so far on a game. they've made a Dragon full helmet, Dragon boots what does this mean? they swore they wouldn't make something like that ever in the game. Does this mean they they're getting desperate. I don't know but it's seems like it to me.

My conclusion to this is. eventually Jagex WILL run out of idea's and throw rs2 out and stop completely. or innovate the game to a whole new dimension.

Tell me what you think about this.

Yeah....runescape won't last forever. Either Jagex will abandon it eventually, or it will create some other mmo, rs3 perhaps.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Ok, Jagex may eventually run out of ideas, but Runescape will have ended for another reason long before that happens.

If you doubt this, just look at the sugestions in the RSOF. It'd take centuries for them to try and use even a quater of those ideas.

give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever

Yes, they will eventually run out of ideas, but that is most likely very far down the road(i hope atlest).

Once they do run out of ideas people will still play the game for quite a time because unless you've masterd the game. You will still have plenty of stuff to do.

RuneScape is a storyline, not a game.

Jagex is probably a good four years into the storyline, and are adding to it with rough idea's about characters, quests, npcs, weapons...etc.

Its highly unlikely they will run out of idea's. There's around 70+ plot lines that have no conclusion, or have ended but have hinted to another part to that plot.

what IM hoping is a new MMO that has references to runescape so new players will be like "wtf" and we can say "oh it was this thing in runescape youd have to play to understand"

cause it makes us feel special

They'll probably come out with a new 'metal' after Dragon.

Hell, it's not the end of the world. WoW does the same kinda thing with Tier 4,5,6 armours. Just an incentive to do the new, harder and challenging additions to the content.

Theirs still a lot of unfinished storylines and most skills end in the 80's, so thiers still lots of room for more stuff. Quality will be another issue though.

Two things are certain:

- nothing lasts forever

- as long as the cash keeps coming in, Jagex will find new ideas

;)

it will be a long long time before that happens after i quit hopufully :D

ty to swaggeh for sig!

Jagex has tons of ideas that they haven't done yet. Runescape still has a lot of potential for more content.

No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.

they can always expand the map, create new races and such. it should last many years, especially if they hire smart innovative programmers (me please) \'

Or just pay people to think of things?

Gf Jordan, you tried. <3:

Mmm... Mudkipz...

Jagex never said they would stop making dragon items they just told us to stop suggesting them because they have it all thought out. They are not desperate and a person (let alone 300) can't run out of ideas. I really can't see the end of runescape unless people stop paying, but they won't because Jagex always comes up with something new and exciting.

They might run out of ideas, which I doubt, but there's no chance they'll close the game.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

also they could switch it over to give it a more warcraft feel to the game.

huge updates will come in smaller segments rs hasnt even hit its prime yet.

I did not take the time to read above posts, but here's what I think:

The game will be running as long as it means profit for the company. Updates are going to be what the majority wants rather than what would make the game more challenging.

Margus.png

In my opinion it will all be over in 2010 (or less).

I already know a few top-players who will be quitting this year due to the fact that it's going downhill, and there are much better games out there.

Roll on public beta for NEL!

To me there will be no more higher hitting weapons released after this God Sword, and I think Runescape will be gone in about 2 years. :-k

Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.

JAgex has a new game slated to release later this year. I think within 2 to 3 years they're gonna drop RS2 and keep it like a RSC. I hope they finish the quest story lines first so I can finally find out what happens.

It was in some economic report somewhere. People were talking about it in a thread a few months back.

Yes eventually they will run out but not for a while. I can still see level 90 armor and weapons coming out (though if it hits higher than the Godsword I'd have some serious problems with it). There will probably be maybe 2 more skills and improvement to the existing skills . Even when they do run out of ideas Runescape will still probably exist it just won't be updated, and they might start a whole new game.

It won't for awhile theres alot of unfinished story's to complete and the skills don't go to 99 as something to do at it.

So not for awhile.
