yes that sounds about right, using runes for a house tele over house tab is cheaper but uses up a bit more space, your choice which to use. IF you have more then 13 gold charms feel free to bring them all, obviously the number of raw chickens stays the same, but it saves you the trouble of withdrawing charms every trip.

500 pouches will last you a while if your just starting off, generally you should craft your charms one by one - dont bring all your golds, greens, reds, blues at once - it saves time. Always fill the rest of your inventory with seconds (dont forget shards! You'll need a good few of those). As for what method you want to make pouches, it doesnt really matter untill later levels - the time you spend crafting pouches is nothing compared to collecting charms. Untill you get a kyatt however, that's probably the fastest method. Another good method is setting your POH house to taverly (is that the name of the place? ugh brain rotting away from all this exp grinding :-# ) and using home tele and walking from your house.

Kent's guide to Slayer mastery! NEW SECTION!!!

Forgot to ask - Is it true that you only get abyssal demon tasks at 86+ slayer? I could swear I saw someone say it a long time ago. Not sure if I can be bothered getting 86+ slay without getting an abby task, especially after all the slayer grinding I just finished up on :| -

Gorilla? The MM ones? Why would you cannon there :-# Anyway, the way I saw the range pot argument is that your base range level effects it not your potted level, I think pretty much everyone knows that cannon is effected by at least your base range level. TBH, i'm more interested as to whether or not or not actual range bonuses on armor effect cannon (seems strange that it would, but I suppose your range level effecting a cannon's accuracy is strange as well) Though that might be a harder one to test. Keep up the work on the guide, it's looking good. Can't believe I never thought of using low level strength prayers while training P.S. Gargs suck  -

D chain in 500 kills? I hate you. Anyway, here's a small list that I keep of training spots, though it assumes you already know the monster, which I'm hoping you do :P Also some quick notes in there - nothing is in any sort of order btw. Slayer bloodvelds Dust devils zombie monkeys - Prayer - SALVE - AFK spiritual souls (name?) - jennicas ring area - SALVE - AFK abby demons nechryael chaos tunnel skeletons - PRAYER - SALVE - AFK BANDITS - Bunyip - AFK zombie/skele hands at bloodvelds - SALVE - AFK? (UNTESTED) The best of those would probably be zombie monkeys and the spirit souls. Chaos tunnel skeletons are pretty good aswell. I've never tried zombie/skele hands but every time I get a bloodveld asigment I see them and they look alright - decent drops from the looks of it aswell. I wouldn't doing slayer monsters (like dusties and aby demons) because they either aren't agressive, hit hard, or require extra attention to kill (*cough* rock hammer). Unless your on an assignment I'd stray away from dusties aswell, the loss of a helmet is a pretty big loss. GL.

After blowing half my bank on cballs & half my holidays (and then some) worth of no lifing, I present: But what would 85 slayer be without a free whip? Took a trip to abby demons today (couldnt go after the level - I stayed up to 1am to get the level and didn't feel like pushing it to 4am with an abby demon trip  ) and the results are.... My ~15th kill: End of trip, 4 bunyips used, so thats over a 170 minute trip hehe: To top it off I got 97 attack in the trip but was too lazy for a screenie. Next Goal untrimmed 99 attack (no fletching/cooking cape ftw  ). Sorry about the pics that might stretch a bit :?

hehe was wondering what you were on about :P Your inventory is right - though i'd replace monks with sharks. When I killed the boss (90+ all stats, roughly) I thought I wouldnt need to flick on range protect half way through. Very big mistake, I almost died. Just remember to range pray when the rangers (I forget their name) start attacking, their attacks hurt badly.

Kent's guide to Slayer mastery! NEW SECTION!!!
Lets_3ekout replied to Inuashakent's topic in General Guides
A good guide, though as said you should mention when your talking from preference over fact (perfect example: fighter torso for people with high def). It's coming along, I'd recommend mentioning dragon slayer gloves (from Fog) for dragon tasks, it seems they're so easily forgotton yet at mith dragons/black dragons (and metals I suppose, I dont do any metal tasks besides miths) they're priceless. Get your facts straight. Kill them in the Witchaven dungeon, or in Taverly dungeon. Actually, that spot is horrid. I tried cannoning on world 2, I spent more then half my time waiting for them to spawn. I ditched the cannon, still had to wait on a full pop world. I hate hellhounds anyway, so many people kill them even if they aren't on a task, I'll never understand why, regardless of clues and low level charms. Exp < Money, money is just a tool to get more exp, but in a sense I suppose the contrary could be argued to a lesser extent. I suppose they're alright if you dont have a berserker, and some places like miths. I personally believe the wealth works, but wouldnt be surprised if it didn't - Jagex are far from famous on testing things before their release and for some reason I just can't see Jagex testing the ring of wealth for hundreds of hours to confirm it works when it seems they couldn't even do a few hours of testing that would have prevented some very abuseable bugs. -
Always hearing that, how many kills per charm? or charms per hour? Kalphites drop an alright amount, not the workers mind you. Slayer monsters tend to have higher blue charm drop rates then others though, gargoyals being one of the best (thought a blue charm from that is still quite rare).

whats wrong with caps? Very annoying to read, childish, pointless. Against forum rules aswell. If you want profit over exp do what kent said. Other then that if you're 100+ combat you could pest control it with broad bolts, small profit but better xp, i'm not a fan of of pc though so I'd go with aviansies ;) Also a good mix between profit and xp is bloodvelds if you have the slayer level.

rofl was thinking the exact same thing yesterday, same att lvl aswell  I made a quick txt file because i always forget things, in no particular order: I'm currently weighing up zombie monkeys and the skeletons in chaos tunnels. Tried monkeys - xp was unbelievable but they drop nothing of interest and the exp is only good if you use prayer pots. Skeletons are also afkable, salve works and have a close bank. I think the xp might but slightly slower but they have some drops (+decent charms) that make me unsure which is better. That's all I can think of atm.

Can someone please explain what Revenants are.
Lets_3ekout replied to Spooks's topic in Help and Advice
If only they did. They mostly drop a few coins, making hunting them only good for the thrill of it. I've killed ~10 after the recent quest update. I used the best version of jenica's ring ("improves" drops) and smited all the time i killed it (yes, it does make a difference on their drop according to jagex). That's the best possible thing to kill them with for drops, I killed around 7 orcs and 3 knights - every drop was coins. Prior to the update killed around abouts another 10 - got coins from all except from one which gave me some random cruddy drop anyway. Though I admit, they can be fun to hunt beacause they don't "safe" :D they're the closest thing f2p has to a boss, I dunno about anyone else but I can't stand skilling in f2p for more then a few minutes, so they're a fun distraction, especially if you have some friends to hunt them with. Drops suck though. -
If you want slayer exp over points, use duradel, summona or lost city, depending on your stats. Thats what I do, and I get plenty of points. I hear that people use the second lowest slayer master for tasks 1-9 and then hop to duradel for every 10th/50th task. The exp would suck, but I suppose you would get slayer points alot faster, if they're really that much important to you.

i tried barrows without set befor veracs hits to much cant get enough sharks down there they turn to mush but ill try it can always 1 click teley out Err... What? That made no sense at all. Assuming you have the full set of Veracs (if not, sell the flail and the helm - there are better replacements such as berserker helms and whip. If you have a fighter torso sell the brassy.), you can duel other people in it in duel arena, hunt KQ with a friend, barrows (it's better to mage in veracs armour then use it to melee) and it's also a good armour for hunting monsters such as mithril dragons (be sure to watch plenty of vids of people doing it before you try it), brutals, waterfiends, giant mole, etc. It's a good armour to have around, but I'd sell it if you can't even afford a whip along with the full set.

I'm relatively sure you can't, Runescape is a browser based game and xfire is made for actual applications.

The 99 prayer cape monk in the monastry does it for you, just use your shield on him and you'll see. Thought that might only be elixer? I'm still not 100% on the difference between elixers and sigils. -
Lower bonuses? You lose 2 prayer bonus for the sara item, and you dont even pray to kill them. There's no real loss. If you want xp do not kill spirit mages, their awfull exp compared to all the other alternatives we have today. They're not seperated as long as you know where to kill them, but I'll give you the part about combat familiars, but if you subbed out some bunyips for strawberries+comb familiars, you'd just have to bank after a couple hundred kills. But all to their own, do whichever you feel more comfortable with. No, you have to range them which is slower when you use economical bolts (such as broad), neither can I recall a cluster of them, so lots of running is involved. I agree with 1 in 70-100, but 1 in 200 is just very bad luck. I can easily get 2+ boots an hour :?
-
Summoning potion, for the bunyips (1dose/bunyip after the first 1-2 bunyips, 2 if you have 75+ summoning).
-
Spirit mages are worth camping, they just came down from one of the top money makers in RS to a "great" money maker. In my previous spirit mage task (~160 kills) I got 4 d boots and alot of ess + natures. It added up to over 1m. You wont always get that many boots from that many kills, but it's far from rare. Alot of people kill zamorak mages because they have around 10 less hp, that's a mistake. Unless your only goal in killing them is melle exp (in which case you shouldnt be killing them), saradomin mages next to the GW entrance are much more efficient. Half the time a nearby werewolf or gorak gets them to below half hp, making them FASTER then zammy mages, and they wont attack you back, meaning no constant prayer pot usage, making them CHEAPER then zammy mages. Anyway, I'm not sure if I've seen a guide for them but I can give you my setup pic. Kill sara mages who are getting attacked in the center of GW - if none are getting attacked then kill them with pray - thats what the pray pots are for. If you have a bunyip try to see if you can get away with killing a sara mage every now and then without prayer and healing over the next few kills. Note that this setup is made for long-term camping. If you don't have bunyips then replace them with high healing food and possible sub out 1-2 pray pots for food. Good luck and grats on 83 slayer ;)
-
Because guthans does no longer heal you when you hit 0's on kurasks, definitely do not try to use it here. It is alot faster to bank for a new set of food (especially with fairy rings) then running to jellies 20 times and healing with guthans (try get 68 summoning asap, guthans slows down your exp/hr everywhere ;) ) If you want to range them, I remember there was a nice safe spot at the very north west of the room amongst a pile of rocks, it allows for accumulator to work as well.

Charms - Not always worth picking up?
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in General Discussion
I'm well aware of the price, but I'll have you know my net worth is only just below 10mil, not including items that I can't sell back. Not everyone has the luxury of large amounts of money ;) . As for 83-85 slayer earning me 30m+, I don't see it happening unless every task I get from now on are spirit mages (I hope not...). -
Charms - Not always worth picking up?
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in General Discussion
Where'd that come from? Get away from the computer and take some time to relax ;) Of course it would speed things up, but there are other factors that I consider. Can I realisticly afford to level up to the level I need for titans? I would have to sell a large majority of my fighting gear, and then I wouldn't be fighting them fast very much at all. I can see where you're coming from though. Well I don't know what half sarcasm is, but 85 slayer is more valueable to me as a status symbol. Obviously past that is the addition of more fun when training attack, higher hits and the ability to kill monsters that give both good exp and some money to boot. Now that I think of it, I'm enjoying slaying much more now that I can actually just sit back and watch my character kill monsters instead of constantly keeping my eyes peeled for charms. I have nothing against summoning, I love the skill, but it isn't really practical for me to train it - no level I can afford to reach holds a "revolutionary" summon, or so to speak. Some very interesting responses though, wasn't expecting to see so many people keep green over gold :-# -
Charms - Not always worth picking up?
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in General Discussion
Do you pick up green? Because that's two already who have said they pick up green but not gold, while their exp is similar but the costs for green is comparable to crimson (from what I've found at my level at least).
