  1. Hah, i meant i'm not selling everything in my bank to make a GW run :D Thanks for the tips, I've decided on bandos after thata and a couple videos ;) Edit: Killed bandos, got a shard
  2. Yeah I forgot about those. I'll fix it up, thanks :P I'll look into the gloves, I have barrows so I never really bothered to check if rune/dragon gloves are better then vambs.
  3. Been pretty bored lately, have soloed most of the bosses around Runescape (mostly so i can just say i can lol  ) and GW bosses look really fun to try. I looked around and bandos/zammorak look like my best bets but was wondering if any GW experts know who my best bet is for soloing. Stats: 90 atk 90 str 90def 88 range 85 mage 73 pray 59 summoning I'm willing to spend 9m on whatever i need to bring there (no it's not all my money), so I hope thats not a prob.
  4. Err, hate to bump this but don't want to leave this as is. Go read the rules to RuneScape. It's at the bottom of Rule 7: Third Party Software. Afking is not macroing ;) Macroing is the use of an illegal bot that does tasks for you, Afking is leaving so that RS AI does the work for you. If getting a can of coke from the fridge and lifting your legs up on the table while keeping an eye on Runescape is illegal, ban me. When I afk the longest time I spend away from the computer is to go to the toilet, and after that I do whatever I want while "afking", I have two monitors afterall so it's completely safe :P Though my post may have been a bit misleading.
  5. skele's are the best exp out of those two but bandits need a lot less attention. However there are better spots to afk then bandits or skeles. If you have completed spirit of summer go to the axe hut in 55 wild with a salve ammy, str/combat pots and food and operate jennica's ring in the portal. This is a perfect place to afk, nearly impossible to die when afking, salve works and the spirit realm isn't wildy. I get 65k exp/hr there with combat pots and whip. I also got a total of over 2k decent runes my last trip (no guthan or healing summon used). Something to keep in mind ;) I'd go with skeles over bandits if you dont want to use the spirit realm axe hut.
  6. Nice to see someone trying them out :P I haven't made changes in the guide for summoning because I stopped playing Runescape for awhile (came back 'bout 2 weeks ago). I'll look into new setups using summoning. Grats on the red dragon egg, I guess their pretty rare? ;)
  7. Yeah a big problem is that they suck to use while your fighting. Say you can't pray and have to eat to survive mid-battle. By the time you make inventory space, unpack them and eat all 5 of them you could have taken well over 25 damage depending on what you're doing. They're a really good option if you can get your hands on them, but should be used along with monks or sharks.
  8. I made an hour trip before and I made a mil in that hour. Maybe lucky, but the other two trips i made i got 600k per hour. That's with wild pies @ 79 (who says you can't profit with wild pies :P ) so if you have 83 it should be pretty good money, I can't wait to camp there at 83 slayer :D .
  9. The rewards for the minigame are actually really good from what i can see. Besides the obvious RC advantage of instant teles to altars, the blood altar, for example, teleports you right next to a bloodveld spot that is pretty much clear of people 24/7. Astral teleports you right next to popular suqah spots, RC guild tele lets you start a minigame as soon as you want (as long as it's not full..) and so on. Seems some of this stuff might be pretty useful for slayers. Also - Omni staff = own. :P I just need to get the actual staff now.
  10. Love the guide, I take crowdless spots over anything really  By coincidence I had a kurask task this morning and decided to finally give one of them a shot. I suppose they might be related to turoths because I finished my 140 kill assignment in one trip using melee, and made a nice 100k+ cash from it. With melee stats all based around 90 I could stay there forever with bones to peaches, and their drops of noted pineapples, flax, adamant bolts and various broad ammo really adds up, especially when you consider their rune long drop, which I got 4 of. For people with lower stats, you can bring a knife to make use of the frequent unnoted pineapples and bananas, I managed fine with my stats without a knife though. The only problem I can find with the guide it's that is very dense with text. A couple relevant pictures (even if they achieve nothing) can make reading a guide many times more enjoyable. Nice work :)
  11. Yep, I timed darts, msb and darkbow at caged greaters once. Darts won and darkbow was lowest exp by a long shot. If you have alot of money left and nothing to buy, feel free to buy it just for the spec, it's fun to use at cw.
  12. Ah my bad, typo. Yeah I mean buying ores and making bars.
  13. Hey, I returned to RS recently and have to get 69 smithing for my final quest. I'm way too lazy to make cannon balls so I'm buying gold ores from 66-69. Turns out that costs a good amount so I was wondering if I could make gold bowls from the legends quest to boost my xp per ore. I could swear I saw it being said a long time ago along with that you could alch them for decent money as well. When i searched for the bowl in Tip it's item db all i could find was a blessed bowl with no alch specified. Anyone know if this is decent exp and money?
  14. Happened to mine as well -.- Pretty annoying changing all the size and hide commands. Anyone know why old long topics from the previous forum aren't working? or is it all topics - I wasn't when the forums got updated.
  15. With the release of summoning I figure it would make sense to list how well each dragon drops the new "charms", the most tedious item to retrieve for training summoning. Currently I've made a list for brutal green dragons, they seem pretty good for me. They drop 2 charms per charm drop and have a frequent rate of dropping charms. I'll soon add this to the guide, I'm too tired to dig through all of it right now :) We're exactly the same combat and exactly the same prayer level, so if you wanted your question answered earlier your findings would probably be just as accurate as mine would be when compared to other dragons :) Blue dragons will probably be my next one, I'm interested as to how much it will vary from crowds. Maybe I'll record two times where I only get one spawn and another for when I get two spawns all for myself. :-k I'm not much for making metal dragon guides, there are so many great guides for them out there now I don't know how I would ever be able to expand on them. I do reguarly fight them so perhaps I'll try a guide after I'm done with my goal of having all leather dragons. Thanks :
  16. It's a good long term soloution but people want summoning levels as fast as possible, especially straight after release  Anyway I've been experimenting at brutal green dragons and the following are the rates I found (please note the kills after the one hour mark were not counted). They drop TWO charms per kill and have a very nice drop rate (though I hit an extremely unlucky string of kills on my third trip). The "------" mark when I banked. I didn't count other drops just charms. So yeah, if you need some cash, gold and green charms I think this is a pretty good place to go. I'm putting this in my guide, I just thought it might be more useful put here aswell.
  17. Yeah why post, it just annoys everyone... Looking at the rune pick, prayer gear and cballs is it dark beasts? If it is you don't really have to worry about people knowing, aren't enough 90+ slayers to crowd the place. Bit more on topic, I think I've found a good monster. I'm making a drop list and time measurments to see exactly how good they are. I'll update shortly.
  18. I thought the same, but apparantly you have to make at least 11 for 1xp (or something like that). Try making the entire load of pouches you got into scrolls.
  19. You got those from the chest or from getting kill-count? From the sounds of this it sounds really fast, I may try it, hate the feeling of seeing all that money burn away but I guess that's what I've been saving up for :P Edit: Tried it, works amazingly. Making dreadfowls it costs very small amounts to unnote (high level summoning may cost a good bit more though), I got level 4-10 summoning here like nothing and planning to stay for quite a while, preffrerably till I can one click all barrow brothers :
  20. If you lose your cannon in any way (doesn't matter if it decays, you lag out of Runescape or you get killed) you can always go to the dwarf next to the white mountain (The F2P mountain with the orcale on it, just go through the falador mining area) who sells cannons and he will give you another one. It doesn't matter if you bought one from him or not he will give you another one if you lose yours.
  21. They do NOT drop anything (not even bones) and neither do you get exp from killing them. It's just for having fun when you get some friends over.
  22. Wow, 3 sharks to kill the entire boss? Very nice, makes me feel bad for never even trying it :P
  23. What's better to start of a metal dragon killing trip that I spent over 2.3M on then Jagex's flawless random event system. I'm amazed at how accurately these randoms can discriminiate when you can't finish a sentence to them even when you're click on them like mad. It's these moments that keep me going in my goal of getting out of my insane metal dragon dry streak.
  24. I recall Jagex saying the shop price for player sold items in shops is the same as the GE price. If you're looking for an alch value it should be in the item DB. Interesting though on how people will find the alch price of highly expensive new items nowadays :-k
  25. Well seeing as it's about which is more respectable I'd say FM just because it is useless and cooking is usefull. It's one thing to train a skill that will widely benefit you but to train something to 99 with nearly no benefits at all is much more respectable in my view. However I'd choose the range cape over any of these. Range is slower to train (and less common to have 99 in) and it's not so much a "showing-off" cape, such as FM, cooking and fletching (which is why people look down at these skill capes). The bad side to the range cape is that there is little sense to using it when you are ranging, seeing as we can easily use an accumalator for insanely low prices and an easy quest. With other skills (probably all of them except maybe rc) wearing their 99 cape while training the skill itself doesn't really hinder you, with range it can heavily do so at certain places.
