Edit: Sorry, I got the price of house tabs wrong, changing it now. I can't give you a perfect answer, but I tried this out ~3 days ago and it was alright. Basicly this is from memory, but soft clay prices are at 200ea on GE, and buying is instant. As for tab prices, I recommend making house tabs, I've found to make most profit per tab from them, and they sell decently, though I notice they nearly always sell in 10's and other such small ammounts. Additionally, I remember selling them for roughly 1K ea. As for laws, it costs one law (obviously) per tab so that's another 280 or so taken off (all rough prices, just giving you an idea). Let's say you make 550 profit per home tab. Note that some fo the higher selling tabs use more laws so they may not give you as much profit per tab. Now, using an air staff with laws and earths in your invent you will have space for 26 soft clays, obviously no additional space needed for extra teleports (normally would need more runes to get to your house). Now lets say making one tab takes 4 secs, getting to your lecturn and loading the house may take 10 secs. 4 * 26 + 10 = 114. For max efficiency you should have a fally portal, which is extremely close to bank, lets say getting to portal and then bank takes another 10 secs (dependant on your house's setup), that's 124. So 124 secs = 1 trip (assuming you own the house, add some extra few seconds if it's not your house and you must exit and enter your friend's.) Profit per trip = 26 * 550 = 14,300. Time in an hour = 3,600. Trips per hour = 3600/124 = 29 (rounded) Profit per hour = 14300 * 29. Profit per hour = 414,700. That is if you work on a perfect basis, with no breaks and no randoms to interupt. As for bones to peaches, I don't recommend it. I tried it, made 150, tried to sell on GE, the price was 2.5K+ and obviously, no one bought it even after 1-2 days, not one at min price. Thus, you have to get on forums and seek a price that is hardly higher then tele tabs, and you must spend 2 nature per tab, instead of 1 law. Also, keep in mind your tabs won't sell instantly, but then again with GE we can now be making even more tabs while our already made ones sell :P No resources for tele tabs should take more then a second to buy at GE, just the selling can be tedious. Well that was fun, was thinking of working it out for myself the other day :P Also, you should try do this with 100 tabs before you start making them in the thousands, the market sometimes just dies for tabs, people don't need them as much now that PKing is out of the picture.

12K oak plank's to use, What to make at 39 cons?
Lets_3ekout replied to Skilling0wn's topic in Help and Advice
50-75 in 2-3 days is definitely possible, but 75-99? Don't over kill it, it's fast but not THAT fast. I personally like using a normal butler. You only pay 33.3gp per plank and you NEVER have to stop and wait. With cook, if you make a single mistake you might have to wait a few seconds, which is pretty annoying to me. As the rest said, make oak larders, wreck them , make them etc. Untill you can do that with oak doors (doors = 10 planks). Using this method, I bought cut (no house servant used, did it myself) and built 9k oak logs in 2 days, it is very fast using the right methods :) -
With the GE, buying plain kebbit bolts is easy, or at least it was when I tried. I currently have over 5k normal bolts, and over 8k long bolts. The cost? People who hunt these don't realise how good they are, therefore they dismiss them as junk and sell them of at GE prices, which are insanely cheap. Again, I can't guarantee that it's maintained the same since I found out, and long bolts are probably impossible to buy in bulk now, but short ones could still be great. Sounds like a good idea on iron knives (or darts, doesn't make that much difference). The only problem is range bonus, prayer or not you're not in very good ranging bonus gear, so I'd imagine at times you might not hit as often as you can, but as an estimate you should stay at roughly 50-80 range bonus so it shouldn't be that bad.

No, I'd only really say they'd help if you were using the guthans method then I found them very nice protection from orcs while you get some very easy healing from goblins and hobgoblins (Just north-west of the usual aviansie killing area). Also nice for bones to peaches, but I find that I never need more then the bones I get from aviansies alone. But using prayer, no you should never require these. The whole reason the bone cross bow was so good was it's speed, the cost of the bolts was just an additional benefit. Now that they've had that taken away they're not really that great, people just don't want to hear it and argue that the bolts are inexpensive. While the bone x-bow does still hit decent I'd personally recommend using the hunter crossbow. Some of you may think I'm mad, but these are incredibly good. The cost of the bow is even less, and it fires at the rate of a msb on rapid. Not only that, it's long bolts hit 15's, for me I believe that's in between addy and rune arrows. In case some of you don't know the bone xbow was whip speed and msb speed is much faster then whip speed. However, long bolts are hard to come by, so may have to stick with normal bolts, these are still strong and offer a shield spot. Well, now that's said, if you don't want either I'd recommend a rune x-bow, yes :P (I believe few people are yet to see how effective the hunter x-bow is, thus I wrote a decent amount).

To the contrary, I've found fever spiders to be extremely good exp, with not so great drops overall. The kwuarms ar nice, but they don't drop often enough at times (1 in 4 is WAY too high) and nothing else drops. However if it's just exp you're after do these tasks, a cannon while ranging rips through them.

Yes, but with it you can do 25+ runs if you mix it up with guthans. You're spending pointless millions to save the time it takes to get to barrows. With poh portals, that's extremely fast now. Not only that but you can note and sell/buy pots/food for unlimmited trips if you really wanted to not have to bank. Lastly, remember you do barrows mainly for profit, burning p pots when there is absoloutely no need is a pretty dumb idea when you think about it. I count you should be getting at least 2.7K bars from that many :-k Although I personally hate using ppots at aviansies if you don't have 80+ def I reccomend using as many of those pots at Aviansies as you can untill you get too bored. It will be much faster and dependant on if you can do barrows without prayer pots, more proffitable. Use the rest for whatever you like, have some leftover for barrow trips where youn get Karil in tunnels, some others left over for things such as metal dragon trips.

accumalators miss some arrows/bolts/knives/etc. every now and then, they don't pick up 100% accurate even if you are within melle range of a monster.

Red dragons watchout! Your next!
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Nope, gilded always gives 250% boost and with two incense burners you get an extra 100% (50 per burner, must be both for 100), so 350% with burners (that use marrentil) and 250% with no burners or low level burners. On my budget, this was a pretty big achievment :P (I've sold everything I don't completely need and now I have 400k cash) -
I kill both metals and reds frequently, but metals are not a constant profit. If you melle metals their average drops only compensate for the anti's and pray pots and you have to get a dragon drop to really profit there. Having said that, I've killed well over 500 of each iron and steel (including when I melle, range and mage) and have NEVER gotten a dragon drop. Extremely unlucky? Perhaps. But I need a more constant profit then that, combine that with my hate of having to train in crowds and red dragons are my perfect solution. In any case, it isn't very efficient to pick up bones from metals, space is hard to find down there, not only that but instead of hides they drop iron an steel bars, yay? Reds aren't for everyone and thus I'm considering making this into a guide for killing all dragons (non metal, there are already many high quality metal dragon killing guides out there) which would include green, blue, red and black (Though you pretty much have to range blacks without prayer). Don't expect this any time soon, it'll be a good load of work for me seeing as green dragons aren't what I usually kill and I'll possibly have to develop a completely different inventory now with revs. Edit: Just fixed up alot of typos in the guide.

he just said that he couldn't do that... since he lags and might die... he's asking someone else to try... its not related though, like mentioned, charos is only for npc's Ah, missed that, I tend to skim through topics that are just, well, silly. If you follow the story line of quests you will see that it's completely illogical to assume something as remote to the quest as barrows would be affected by the RoC. Also true that 100 might not suffice, I was just trying to get the point across that you should do thorough tests before making huge claims. :P
-
You're assuming huge things from a single trip. Say what, you do 100 trips with a Rol and a RoC (each), write down each and every drop and if there's a distinct difference, the maybe this would be worth some thought.
-
Only thing I can think of with those stats is bring 2+ super energy pots and fill the rest of your invent with sara pots and quest items you need. Expensive, but you can't expect much doing MM with 34 def and 45 HP.
-
Once you buy it you never have to buy it again, it just comes back the next time you die like it did the first time. Don't think over people see any of what you dropped, but don't take my word on that last one.

52 con - 69 con in 2 days, I made ALL my planks too, bought the logs though. After 2 days of VERY boring no lifing (Over 8k logs cut and built) I finally get to spend my last pile of cash on this reward :D Cost me over 4-5M getting the levels, altar and upgrades to my house just in those two days. Don't have to rate it I'm just extremely happy, dragons watchout your bones are next on my list :P

Interesting, looked around and there are a few rumours that the marble one burns for longer. Even if it does, probably not for me right now, I'll end up with 200k after I buy everything, not including marble burners. Back to red drags I guess  Last question if someone can answer it, is it possible to get a full invent of bones prayed/buried/whatever you do with them by the time one mahogany burner burns out? I can't wait, 748 Oak planks till my altar and they're all banked :XD:
-
I'm closing in on getting a gilded altar and with it I need burners, but when I look in the con table on Tip.It it says I get 50% per burner regardless of mahogney or marble, is this correct? If so, is marble worth it for any reason? I'm already low on cash (may have to sell my cannon) and I could really use that 500k (I believe?) that I'd be saving. Cheers.
-
Yes you will be able to drop items, however any item that has a value over 3,000GP will be invisible to all players, even after a minute (normally they show up after a certain ammount of time).

I'm too lazy to search for their posts, but they only post in the most serious of matters, mostly concerning updates or topics that may infringe on their rep. If you really want to see a JMod's post just use the user search function, I believe they just go by the name of "Andrew" here without the mod in front of it, though I don't see why you're so eager just to see them post.

If you're having trouble from damage in the actual abyss try wearing mith (lightest metal) with a mith pick and preferably penance gloves, best hunter capen and boots of lightness. If you still get hit (assuming you can't use black d'hide) try using rune (granite as a last resort). If you get hit hard in rune in the abyss, perhaps it's just not for you.

"Planking a log" doesn't sound right for some reason, might just be me, but yeah that's what I meant :P Completely forgot about the CW method, read about but just to check, I need a normal log for every trip or something like that, right? (rings aren't a problem) Very interesting with the gilded altar, I may just go for it :P Turns out that at 31.3 GP per item when using a butler my cost per plank is 306.3, meaning I can use nearly 9.8K planks. Just put that in a calc and it turns out that's turn out to be exactly 69 :P (Can't wait for his gilded altar 8-) ).
-
Looked in the Tip.It guide a bit more and found the table with the servants, assuming correct it should be pretty usefull. The cook costs 23.4 GP per "item" (I always thought it was counted per trip?) but takes 20 secs to get back, that's an awful amount of time for two larders :| But I think I will get rid of my demon butler for the normal butler, which seems to be pretty cheap (31.3 per item), does his trips in twice the time (10 secs) and carries 2.5 larders worth of items (assuming they're 8 planks?).

Hey, having sold my berserker necky in expectation of a drop (There are people selling 1.5M lower then what I paid for mine, when what I paid was fair) I've got roughly 3M on my hands to play around with so I'm deciding to level my sadly low con level (52). I was thinking of buying oak logs and cutting them, I counted that those two steps would cost me 275k per 1k logs I get, but what I need to know is how many planks my demon butler can get out of bank for me before he wants pay. That'd be a HUGE help if someone could answer :) Secondly, do you think it's worth burning 3M to get my con level from 52 to roughly to 67? I do want to get my total up, but is it worth it other then for that? No one ever really comes to my house so it's not so great for the showing off factor, maybe once in a month or something when a friend wants to check something out (or something :P ). I've prioritised my slayer gear and have all I need for slayer (which is basicly 95% of what I do nowadays). Also, don't advice limestone because I've tried it and I can't stand how slow the levelling is :P To sum up: How many logs can a butler get for you before you pay him? Is it worth spending ~3M getting con from 52-67? (It may go higher then 67 dependant on first question. That calculation was made assuming I can afford 8K oak logs, cut them myself and have enough for butler without going over the 3M mark).

Err Guthans on dragons? Don't consider it. Remember the spear is TWO handed, while you may have anti fire pots they are far from full protection and you will get hammered many times faster then you can heal, especially on metal drags. Also consider the few seconds between the time your pots run out and you re-pot, if you get hit in that period you have a good chance of being history. Stick to whip and DDS (some argue that DDS is better to use as a main weapon over whip, I haven't tried the DDS method much though, just for specs), you should only be using one shark a trip anyway, the drops should cover your prayer potion use.

Aclcemization - ( Is that a word ? ) o.O!
Lets_3ekout replied to i_love_burritos's topic in Help and Advice
Well, you're most common answer will be yew long bows. But I believe you have to get at least one resource in order to profit (Flax/Bowstring, Nature/ess, Yew log/Unstrung bows). However if you are planning on alching I highly advise waiting a few days if not weeks because in the next few days nats are expected to drop (people have lost reason to arch due to removal of tele-block). -
Why cant i trade more than 3 k at a time?
Lets_3ekout replied to Andyb_84's topic in Help and Advice
Confused me there for a second, just remembered that they said the 3k trade rule applies as of Jan next year. Perhaps a bug or something? your trade system having the effects of next years system? Doubtful, but strange in any case that it's hapenning now. Have you tried making in the range of 3k of the GE price or is it just if there's more then 3k in the trade?
