I can confirm that, I don't know if those percentages are correct but magic definitely has more influence then defence levels. Definitely not. Yes, it helps against all, though it's not as influential versus magic. Definitely not.

Personally, I expect a drop in all items with a considerable value. Everyone is panicing, people are too thick to realise that if GE has the correct price it makes nearly no difference and are selling their expensive items even if GE has the price perfectly, effectively flooding the market with supply. Possibly already happened, that's just my hunch, but I'm pretty sure they won't be rising.

I'm pretty sure you get it exactly the way you did in the quest, from the shop owner person just north west of Damis's lair. I think you have to buy it for a few gp, but it may be an easy task.

Indeed :) After summoning, unless Jagex plan to nerf wild dogs to become agressive to all or anything like that, red dragons will become much more efficient to anyone that achieves a combat over our current maximum. Some people are just put of by them even if they hardly hinder them, so it's even better then it may seem :P I'll edit in something about it as soon as I can, but probably would be wiser to wait for summoning to come out first.

Only you can work out an accurate number, it differs on range level and equip used so do this test to find out what exp you'll be getting. First, use 10-50 chins and write down each hit. Optimal would be 100 chins but I assume you won't be bothered to use that many. Now add all the damage up (write down 0 hits) and divide that by how many you used. For example, 0 + 7 + 8 + 4 + 1 = 20. 20 / 5 = 5. Your average hit is 5. Now get a rough number on the amount of monsters you will hit with one chin. Now do this: Average Damage * Monsters hit * 4 * 10,000. That's as accuarte of an answer you could ever come out with, as long as you remain consistant with the armour you use. I'm not big on chins, too expensive for the time being, but if you really wanted you could just estimate. I have no idea of their accuracy or power, but if it were an average of 10 and you hit about 4 monsters per chin you'd get 1.6M exp. But those numbers are extremely likely to be off.

Pretty sure Obby sword+Zerker Necklace is better than SS. What does obby sword/zerker necklace do? I know what zerker necklace does, but why is a good combo for training strength? Increases damage from obby weapons by 20%, therefore since they can train strength they are very effective at it. Downside is a huge -20 to all defences and lowers attack aswell I believe. However, I've tried obby sword and berserker and can tell you that it definetly is NOT better then SS. SS = Training at the speed of a whip. Obby sword = Whip speed. That said, I hit about 1-3 damage lower with an obby sword then a whip, depending on pots and black mask. So SS is just faster strength training over an obby sword with berserker. Addditionally, obby swords are highly inaccurate versus anything with a decent defence, so that just secures the SS's spot over the obby sword. However considering costs the obby sword would probably be a wiser choice over SS, I find it pretty fun when everyone is amazed at the constant 30+ hits with the tiny weapon :P

No. Imagine ice trolls or daggonoth with 5 cannons.... Boom? :P

^ That would cost millions. With a 60k budget don't expect much, infact don't bother at all stocking up on effective equipment untill you have decent cash and more coming. If you're coming from F2P with the typical F2Per's full rune and no member items you should be looking at 500k-1M if you want efficient slayer gear (No cannon included in that cost). If you're looking to spend that money straight of then consider a glory amulet, which provides some nice free teleports. Simply sell it when it's uncharged and buy a charged one, they cost the same in GE I believe. The glory will leave you with 10-20k left, possibly consider buying food with these, such as monkfish which are inexpensive considering the large 16 heal. Once you get some good money going buy a black mask ASAP, but it may be costly for your level. Other then that, stick to a rune scim, try not buy any junk like a granite maul (only really good for it's special, not training) and then when you can complete the quest "Lost city" and buy a dragon longsword. When you become a higher level do monkey madness for a dragon scimitar and lastly when you get 70 attack buy a whip. A whip will be most likely what you'll use for 90% of your attack and defence training. As for armour, do the barbarian assault minigame and get a fighter torso (takes ~2 days to get), use rune other then that. There's far far too much to do then I can say, just explore members and have fun. Browse guides to see what's good for doing what, even if you don't plan on doing what the guide is telling you to.

How will the new skill affect Pures or Tanks?
Lets_3ekout replied to I_Dragonov_I's topic in General Discussion
Gotta agree there, I don't see why anyone wouldn't level up their defence and prayer now, you're just cutting off a huge part of the game for yourself, I find high leveled quests that require a defence level really fun :P It'd be nice to get some peaks on how summoning will work, seeing a couple of the monsters doesn't do much when you have no idea what it'll cost us for them and how we get them to work. If we had that info we might be able to say, but as a guess I'm going to say they aren't going to help pures. The summoned creatures seem to have pretty low levels from the pictures I've seen, only enough so to do decent damage to pures. But whos to say our creatures won't be pures themselves with low defence and low combat? -
When in the desert (For power mining granite) there's a spell called humidify that refils all your waterskins for a few runes. Just bring a few casts of humidify (pregerably alot :P ), a couple of waterskins, not too many (frequent dropping) or too few (frequent casting) and mine, drop and repeat. Humidify when you need to. Search player made guides if you want, I think I remember a guide on it.

My vine hardly ever dies and I'm too cheap and lazy to even use normal compost rofl :XD: Buy some super composts from GE (I don't know if they sell there, maybe they do. If not make your own and use normal ones or nothing in the mean while) and use those, with super compost I assume it'd be very rare for it to die, making all the trouble to get those other seeds pretty useless. Yes, very good constant exp boost. It's practically growing exp lamps once you get the hang of killing it :P (Slayer only lamps though  ) No, if you can use chivalry or piety with a super att/str you'll rip it apart, even with a rune axe (I use rune and easily kill it, even when I didn't have piety). It shouldn't take terribly long to kill one, no longer then it would take to range 1-2 black demons (If using piety/super sets) I'm pretty sure melee pray with hides is best from the frequent melee attacks. Remember to use your best offensive prayers (remember there's a church right next to the place) and bring an anti pot. Not hard, Definitely would be able to.

Perhaps it is, but you can still use runners (I believe Jagex said something about fixing this sometime with the trade rules soon to come?) and with the ZMI altar exp/hr greatly increases. When you look at agility, you have to run every lap, every ticket, every obstacle you get. Perhaps RC is slowly, but agility is so much more boring for so many more people, you get no money reward and your only reward is a couple of shortcuts that save you seconds and a marginally faster energy restore rate (Considering how much work you do for it). If you're looking for respect from others because of an achievement cape DO NOT GET COOKING OR FLETCHING. These are so common now that when most see these they could care less, it's far too easy to achieve 99 to be anywhere near as commendable as the other skills. Agility is very respectable, but chances are you'll burn out far before 99 unless you have some extreme patience.

There is no official chat for Tip, but the un official ones are Lightning and Blogscape.

Look at it this way, if you melle why would you use a book? Prayer. What don't you need when you pray? Defence. What do you need? Offence. A Zam book provides offensive stats, guthix is sort of a useless mix tbh and sara is just pointless, clearly if someone wanted 8 defence bonus they would go pick up a bronze-iron kite. However the mage defence is commendable, so it's considerable for things such as infernal mages, but most just use mind/ele shields for that. Now if you're ranging with a one handed crossbow, do you need defence? Not really, you use safe spots. Do you need offence? Yes, some of the more effective crossbows can have a lower range bonus (*cough* hunter bow) so some like the extra bonus, though I can't tell a difference if I take a zammy book or leave the shield spot open. For mage, it's all about mage bonus really, so you can rip apart meleers and in PvM as well. Again, 8 defence isn't really useful when a mage could just use so many other things. The prayer bonus just makes the use of any defence bonus obsolete, thus more people buy Zam items, making them more expensive.

Combat bracelet, good for slayer anyhow?
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in Help and Advice
Perhaps for mage, but I seriously don't see why anyone would train mage via combat when they have alching at their disposal. Fact remains that I couldn't notice a +5-10 increase in range attack for the heck of me. :? Must admit I'm getting pretty sick of having to go through the conversion with duradel each time :P Especially when my bandwidth has run out and it takes ages too load each and every thing I go to. I guess so :P -
it took me 2,6m from 55 to get 70 pray.? 2,600,000/2265=1147. (2265 is roughly how many bones you need, not considering the fact that you can accidentally bury them). Unless you had a green dragon autoer running (I hope not :XD: ) I don't see how you managed those prices :? It's VERY possible to burn 4-5M+ on 70 pray. If you're looking for profits alone then there are better options then barrows. Despite a small increase in price that happened lately, barrows is still far from the money makers that it used to be. The drops worth 1-2m+ have decreased insanely, making other things like Aviansies, boss hunting (perhaps KQ?) and metal dragons more profitable. Barrows is still good fun though and it provides some mage exp for those too lazy to alch or spend money on mage. Congrats on 70 prayer :)

Combat bracelet, good for slayer anyhow?
Lets_3ekout replied to Lets_3ekout's topic in Help and Advice
Guess not then :? Pity, it would really be a fun thing to have if Jagex made it you could sort of combine RFD and combat bracelet for stats of RFD and combat's effect. However, seeing as I bore quickly while ranging and when you have 150+ range bonus another +10 or so makes no difference I think I will use them, it's true that it helps in mental sense to see how many you have left instead of slowly checking or just killing them with no idea. Not really worth sacrificing a max hit when meleeing though I guess :( -
I believe the name is combat bracelet, the one that updates you every 10 kills on slayer assignments. I was away when they came out and missed all the talk about them. Are they any good at all when I can use barrow gloves instead? The teleports don't really appeal terribly, I have no problem getting around as is, it's just the slayer. Perhaps they're good on very slow assignments or very fast burthope assignments? I'd like some tips from higher leveled slayers if I could, I can figure out that there are assigments where barrows is definetly better but are they better for, say, a black demon assignment that I would slowly range through? Putting up with boredom is a big factor to me :P

Why are you so afraid of revenants?
Lets_3ekout replied to Artificial_Doom_Flavor's topic in General Discussion
I didn't know they could poison in F2P  That's harsh, anti's are still P2P aswell I believe? It can be fun fighting them at times on P2P though, they're like bosses... Without the drops :? (Gorys and a DDS don't count). Gotta admit though, sucks when you're training on earth warriors or collecting herbs and a orc rev just floats through the agility obsticle, TBs and freezes you inside the earth warrior area (They can shoot through the monkey bars aswell). But P2Pers are overacting overall, they're looking at how F2Pers have it and think they have it the same and start saying it's impossible. P2Pers, TRY IT and you will see that sharks are enough for you to survive on and if you really want keep a sara pot on backup. No one says you have to kill them either, you just have to beat RS's AI as far as chasing goes. No challenge there. -
Its Here! --> The Manage Thy Kingdom Profits Calculator(XLS)
Lets_3ekout replied to timdagreat4's topic in General Guides
Just started MTK again a week ago, very nice :P You seem to have misspelled flax for "falx" a couple of times though :-# The only problem (which you can't really work consistantly with a spreadsheet) is things like seed nests which can lead to some nice profits at times. Normally, I believe I lose profits on maples, but just yesterday I got a magic seed and just like that an extra 200k for me. But with coal, you can get saphs-diamonds, which is like an extra 200gp-5k? -
Seeing as broad arrows are similar strength to mith arrows, you're yew comp should do fine. But tbh, ditch that yew comp and use a yew short, the extra speed is a hundred times more usefull then the tiny bit of accuracy you get from a comp. I don't know why you want to kill turoths though, it's irratating finding a good safespot at first and even then pretty much all the spots let other turoths attack you anyway. You have a pretty big lack of choice of weaponry and the broad arrows would be better spent in other places like bloodvelds/ogres or whatever you train on.

If you're using a whip or weapon such as d scim DO NOT BUY A WARRIOR RING. Do you seriously think +4 slash does ANYTHING to your exp/hr? When you've already got ~100+ slash bonus, heck even ~80, another 4 makes no difference what so ever. The only time you should ever consider getting a warrior ring is if you are using an obby sword with a berserker necklace and what to use it's secondary slashing option. Seeing as an obby sword has rougly +30 bonus to slash (It may even be less) it is the only time where a warrior ring may be noticable.

You can't really give a number as exact as 133 straight off, but if you don't feel like doing the 100 test just get a average hit (I'm not very familiar with the max hits and accuracy of red chins), times that by the average number of monsters you will hit, times that by 3 (Or is it 4 exp per dmg? Can't remember :-w ) then get the exp you need for 94-99 (using an exp table) and divide it by the number you got with those first calculations. There's an educated guess as accuarte is it's going to get. If you've had experience using chins before you might not even have to go down there and do those tests, just estimate and you'll have a faint idea.

Look at it this way, if there's a tiny loophole this WHOLE event has been for NOTHING. It's all the way or nothing at all, and it seems Jagex isn't going to be choosing the latter. They've sacrificed PKing, staking and a good chuck of the game, we should all make sure they sacrificed it for something, Jagex can be quite incapable at times considering how many staff they claim to be constantly hiring. Isn't it 3k like all the other restrictions? I find it ridiculous that a chest that costs us 130k+ can only be used for roughly 1-5k GP, at least take out the gold leaf req, or something :? Guess I shouldn't be complaining, it's pretty much the worst part of the update to me, which isn't that bad :P Edot: My bad, checked the RS manual, oak = 500GP, Teak = 1K and mahongany (With gold leaf) = 1.5K. There's a 5min period between adding gold in chests.

Combat Calculator (with Summoning) (exe version)
Lets_3ekout replied to @Dan3HitU's topic in General Guides
Nice work, but I don't think it's wise to make a calc before the skill comes out, after all the combat level gained per summoning level could be slightly different to prayer level. Though it's probably not, it would make a waste of your efforts :?
