  1. It will work, but you will have to wait a short amount of time between buying and selling the same item due to "price manipulation", as said by Jagex. It's only a small amount fo time though, but yes ,erchanting still works to some extent using that method.
  2. Have you considered saving up for summoning? It seems many people are doing so, seeing as Jagex officially stated in a DD that summoning will require some money.
  3. Use empty vials on the barrels there, near the sandpit.
  4. I'll admit I'm not F2P, but what you do doesn't have to be profitable or give much exp, if it's fun then it's worth doing (eg. Castle wars). So personally I'd hang out in the duel arena, you don't have to stake, just do it for fun. I'd imagine it'd be something completely different to F2P as it's safe. Other then that I'd just level up my skills and play clan wars, if you get bored of it all then it's probably worth quitting, F2P is terribly small when you compare it to P2P.
  5. Melee would probably be faster there but it's pretty hard because of their accurate ~16 hits, or you have to spend a good amount on p pots. Go for it if you want. Edit: Actually, forgot it's single combat so it's probably not faster.
  6. I think it's because everyone just makes their shield and sells it, not bothering to sell the visage itself as that would be pretty dumb now that we have the assist system. Thus less sellers, not to mention rich people might rather get the dfs and not have to bother to hunt down high level smithers.
  7. To answer the question, it would be highly likely to be dharoks. But both of these sets can be EXTREMELY random so one could easily win against the other, I believe Dharok would win more. Aside from the question, veracs is actually better then both and also and cheaper then Guthans. But Verac's uses are limited compared to other sets so you may not want to buy it unless you don't mind selling it for he same price (and the risk of falling price)
  8. Then why are raw chompies still 85 ea after 5 weeks? Most likely because people sell them at the medium price. Wrong. All items have a price floor and ceiling. This is the biggest flaw in the GE. The floors and ceilings often seem to be completely arbitrary prices. That would explain the yew long prices. They set the "floor" price way over what they used to sell for, great work Jagex :( That's why I mentioned yew longs.
  9. Obviously the exact position is pretty important, if you get it perfect you'll be shooting all the demons that sort of que up to attack you. If you don't you still will shoot nearly all of them :P Here's where I do it which works really good for me, you'll have 4 demons that attack you and one that retreats in the background that gets killed every now and then. (forgot to change the picture from saving as a bmp again ). I can't recall what the [bleep]y thing is called :XD:
  10. That's exactly how price changes work, even Jagex are smart enough not to put some sort of random genertor (or something like that) on the price :P Basicly, If there are many people selling at min price (without a similar amount of buyers) prices go down. If sellers are all selling at max price and there areen't a similar amount of buyers at the same price the prices go up. Similar concept to buying. However there are exceptions, I've been trying to sell my 1.5k strung yew longs ever since GE was released and only today did they sell. All that time, I believe the price didn't budge, and I was selling at min price all the time. There is a certain amount a item can increase per day, the more the item costs the more it can increase/decrease per day. Funny if someone get something like waterskins which have 1 dose to like 200kea
  11. I agree with doing them. Just a few moments ago I powered through an asignment of 150 using just a cannon and mithril bolts. Huge range exp (I think I got just below 100k range exp?), a range level that trip (87 :P ) and you'll get a nice amount of rune drops, at least 3-5 in my experience. If you're looking for some range levels and have a spare ~1.5kish cballs left (bit less if you're meleeing I guess) then never burthope black demons, great task :) In my opinion, these guys are fastest exp for slayer after dags and kalphite. If you set up your cannon correctly it should shoot up to 7-8 c balls per revolution + what you hit with your weapon.
  12. I decided to finally try this out because I was 75k from a strength level, this was my first trip ever down there and ta-dah, my first trip using this method, having killed thousands of fire giants prior to this. Money wise, it's not so great anymore (just over 100k). But I love being able to say I got a d med as a drop from fire giants :P (as a note to other people don't bother trying to bring alchs like I did  It's better to use as much of your praying time hitting constant 40-60+ :) )
  13. Awsome, always wondered how you make those but was too lazy to google it :P Luckily I'm pretty sure I have all the required software too : But don't these take like 1Mb+, with imageshack and such having small limits on size? Or does photobucket not have a limit?
  14. Awesome guide \ You may want to add that it's best to bring a reclym balm (bought for minimum price, south of CW from the ogres) to cure the disease the priest can give you. Also, the priest can mage, range and melee, not just the latter two. Also you can add (if you want) that the tiara requires 3 water runes per charge, obviously you can't use a staff. I've got 1,500 charges on mine and I can still add more so I don't think there's a limit, not one that anyone could ever use up anyway. Is it just 10k gp for that mini-quest? Pretty lame reward :? One more thing, I prefer to use max steam on the mystery box, that's for those with a low thieving level (~60). It's still possible doing it with minimum and low thieving, but it's pretty annoying, even with excel. My preferred order was Mystery --> Agility room --> Strength --> Scarab. Personally, I found the scarab easy to kill with piety and mage protect, eating only one shark (min power). It's highly stat dependant I guess. Great guide :
  15. unnotable/untradeable (or if they are I'm 100% certain they'll litterly never sell)
  16. I'm soon to have over 1,000 serum 207's in 3 dose for some cheap herblore leveling. These are un-notable, so I can't just drop them. I'm pretty sure they're untradeable, but even if they are they will never sell. Anyway, what should I do with them? I'm NOT dropping them individually nor emptying them. I just want to get rid of them without a huge amount of work, is that somehow possible? Or is it somehow profitable if I run around mort'on using them on people (doubt it :? ) Thanks.
  17. Tad off topic, but if you look at Jagex's official weapon speed page you'll the speed "bars" are exactly the same, due to the nerf. I recommend using a rune xbow, because practically everyone uses melee and use armour that's effective versus range. I think you can you can get bone bolts 2gp ea in the GE pretty easily, which is good if you want to buy them in bulk (but I'm doubtful anyone'd be buying huge amounts with the nerf)
  18. Thanks for the responce :) I really appreciate the offer, but for the moment I'm not planning on a KBD or a metal dragon section. KBD never really caught on to me and there are multiple high quality metal dragon guides already. I'll keep it in consideration for when I start on the black dragon section. I tried to avoid that, but these are the first guides (or anything near a guide) I've written, so I probably did go on a bit too much. I'll try cut it down to keep it short and sweet, first some time to relax though after writing up the brutal guide in a day :P Thanks for the reply :XD:
  19. I'd add a little note in the guide that Jagex might change that in the future (like what happened with Wyverns and Mith dragons), so that should be used with caution and you should always check yourself after an update (it might be a hidden update, after all). I make daily trips down there, so if any such thing happened I'd be sure to change it the second I knew about it :)
  20. Updated the guide with god books, they work great :) The max of fire breath is a bit higher with just protect for mage then protect from mage with a anti-fire shield for the time it takes you to re-pot but it shouldn't matter. I'm having trouble believing that, the spec may be nice but they have a high slash defence and from memory dragon hallies kill slow enough as is. Also added a quick word in the inventory section under sharks, you can bring up to 6 if you want to rummage skeletons. You get bones that you can use for the pyre ships and ancient pages for your note book. But you'll often get hit 15-20 damage when attempting to rummage. If you want to try it (it's not proffitable or anything, just something to do :P ) go just south of the closest mithril dragon steps, where there's a concentration of 4-5 brutals.
  21. I've got Veracs now but still doubtful on one last thing, why do you recommend a mace for specials, wouldn't a dds be better seeing as d mace spec is even less accurate then what it is normally? :? Out of interest, is it often that I'll find other people down there killing it other then me?
  22. I'll update the guide with an unholy book as soon as possible, I just remembered everyone always saying mage protect makes no difference, I guess it does :) Yeah, I pot when I still have half the levels left from the first dose. Again, thanks for the comments and happy new years :P
  23. Very nice, I was having trouble finding other uses for veracs so it wouldn't feel like a waste buying it :P It's possible to solo it with all stats at ~90, right? In two trips I hope :P
  24. You get 1 alchable per trip but only sometimes, seeing as alchs take up 2 spaces it's better to bring the item to the bank and alch it there. That's new to me, I was under the impression mage protect made no difference versus fire breath. I'm attemping to save money for summoning so if it ends up summoning doesn't cost me too much I'll buy a set and try that method out. I've gone through the guide three times as best I can but if you see any grammar problems please tell me, when I pasted the guide from notepad the entire guide was fallen apart, paragraphs everywhere for no reason :?
  25. Thanks guys, didn't get the chance to post about the addition because my internet stopped due to Optus having some trouble, but yes I've released the brutal guide. Do you not get hit alot when only using an anti-fire pot with no shield? I knew mith drags were approached this way but thought it was more of a getting lucky shots in before you get killed thing :-s Thanks everyone :)
