The Berserker Necklace : A Forgotten Artifact
Lets_3ekout replied to Benjamin6264's topic in General Guides
back up your point, how is whip better than obsidian? whip does not train strength, i don't train attack anymore so to me whip is useless. and SS is 2h obsidian weapons, not the maul. are 1h so you can wield anti drag or dfs, bug lantern for slayer Arguing that obby weapons beat whip is just silly now. You want proof? go buy a whip and use it, there's your proof. Just because YOU don't train attack anymore doesn't mean that others don't. Whip has always been the best at what it does and it's likely that it always will be. SS has better xp rates than obby weapons, though it is true you can't use it effectively at dragons. Soloution? Buy SS for over 99% of monsters that you find in rs and for dragons get a whip, obby sword (for low lvl dragons), leaf bladed sword (for high level dragons). I'm a fan of obby weapons, but going from underrated to overrated isn't helpful. -
Err... Strange situation. So you never gave away your account to a friend or anything? I find it strange someone would just casually take an account and train it like that :-# Wether that works or not you should change your password ASAP if you haven't already. If you're positive you didn't give your account away, scan your computer FIRST because you may have a keylogger that will just steal your password straight after you change it. As far as all the member items go, you can either buy membership on your account and use the items or you will be forced to drop all of them until you have space in your F2P bank. It sucks having do it, but you need to be able to deposit items. Also, you were hacked by this person so I don't see why you have remorse for dropping the items. Also, d med/DDS aren't worth THAT much, together they're worth around 70-80k.

I don't think he's just refering to GWD but all bosses. Agreed with above though. Back when I was in a boss hunting phase when I first bought my GS, one that I liked was chaos elemental. Many people think meleeing it solo doesn't work but they're sorely mistaken. Use a terrorbird with scrolls, packed with CURRY. Never let your inventory became anything less than completely full, by using curry your inventory stays full as you eat. Use scrolls when your energy runs outs and keep the right click option box with attack chaos elemental up constantly for when it teleports you. You'll have trouble finding a guide for this one, it's very empty. When you get bored of that, KBD is a nice and easy (although fun) one to tackle. If you get 80+ defence you might be able to kill a kalphite queen in two trips. If you want easier, try giant mole, easiest boss in RS but you'll always get your cash back from claws and hides. Umm... Other then that, mith drags? IDK if you'd consider that a boss.

There's nothing terribly fancy in there, just terribly time consuming  . I'll upload the file for you though: http://rapidshare.com/files/176076706/FimerCode.zip There are a fair few publish directories, as I was testing out some things ;) Note to anyone else: Don't bother DLing this unless you have VB and want to see the code for whatever reason. Yeah me too, I chose to make a farming timer so I could finally get myself to do *some* farming  Not at all, I scan everything I download yet I still end up with these damn viruses, I'm about to re-image my computer because a sasser worm virus got through into my computer - slowly screwing over my computer, I can't even manage to get rid of it with any of the different 6+ scans I've made (hell, not one of them even found a trace of a virus). Oh well, 2 lessons learned: Use more then one scan and never rely on AVG :|

I'd put 1 in 400-500 as a rough estimate from my kills and from what I hear from other slayers.

Dfs trash rofl? It's the best defensive shield in the game and has been one of the most stable pieces of equipment out there. Also ring of wealth is the ring to you zerker is overpriced junk for 1 extra hit and warrior well it just can not add up to the ownage of an extra chance at a good drop. It's been proven rune defender gives higher xp rates, defence isn't really needed in majority of slayer tasks. For drag tasks it's a great thing to have, but who wants to fork over 15m just to have an easier time dragon slaying when it's already so easy? Unless the author does GWD regurarly, steering away from DFS would be a good idea. Also, beserker is nice for tasks that don't have good drops (abby demons, for example), much better investment then bandos. Warrior is just... junk. +4 slash bonus? Please. I'd go with: Bandos Tasset/Plate (Depends on your defence level, I'd only get this if your 85+ def). Beserker ring. Fury. Possibly invest in trying to get a fire cape. D boots Invest in getting the best RFD gloves you can, if you haven't already. Karil top/bottom Invest in getting karmja gloves if you're using duradel 200+ super sets and prayer potions 2k Pineapple pizzas Guthans (so you can use combat familiars) Leaf-Bladed sword if you plan on doing mith dragon tasks Zammy spear OR Saradomin sword for waterfiends Cannon + CBalls (As many as you can afford to get) That should have you generously set for slayer. See one of the slayer guides in the general guides forum for good lists of things to block and skip. I've currently got this blocked at duradel: Steel drags, iron drags, Hellhounds, kalphites. The last 2 are more personal preference.

Maximum Hits!
Lets_3ekout replied to Our_Moon's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Gorrilas are good if you're low on cash, but zombies monkies are even better if your max is below 91. After that, you're going to have to start spending money on prayer pots and taking trips out to the high level mort'ton shades and various high level skeletons/zombies/mummies. I got a bit bored yesterday so I bought a Dharoks set \ I one-shot-killed the hands 3 times so I went to something with more HP, the best I could get before I got bored: I also decided like trying to max out with a g maul spec (it'll never happen, but I can try  ). This is my best summon spec+gmaul combo (same idea as rushing with ice blitz+AGS spec) I Believe that hit added up to 100? This is my best so far though: That adds up for a grand total of instant 111 damage. Who needs d claws? Also hit a 52 with whip on a greater demon today, I hated myself for missing the screeny  -
Determining if SC tools\armor are worth using
Lets_3ekout replied to compfreak847's topic in General Discussion
With the points nerf at higher points value (difference between 80k and 100k is almost non-existant, for example, while 1k-10k makes for your bulk of points) people find it preferable to get your points up to the point where your point reward starts getting nerfed alot, and then just enjoy the game for a change. -
An ss is something completely different to a gs on terms of use. It's like comparing a chisel to a pick, one might be much more useful in a certain situation but the other is still needed. SS kills GS in standard training, but GS is nice for boss hunting and high def monsters (mainly referring to dark beasts). And if you just look at the stats of an SS you'll see how silly it is to say Scimitar > SS. If you have the money, why not use it? You will always be able to sell it back for what's highly likely to be a full refund. However, I'd advise a d scimmy in your case, since you'd have to sell fury (and apparently even more). While you'd still be getting higher xp/rates with a glory and SS, you'd be sacrificing alot of defence. Not to mention the epic look of a fury Training to 99 strength, it's pretty *THE* best investment you can make. that 3-6k xp/hr makes a massive difference over time. I went 60-90 with d scimmy and 90-99 with SS, the difference was massive once I decided to upgrade to a ss. Again though, if you're going to have to sell armour of your back for the SS, keep the d scimmy.

~2k Seeing as you're chinning your probably doing it for the range xp aswell, but if you're not PC is a nice alternative for HP xp.

We are talking about a retired TIF mod... >.> I don't care if its a current TiF mod. Its good to have a few people scan it. Never too safe It is safe, but I have to agree with pantim, you should scan everything you download before you open it. I've almost opened viruses from sites that anyone would deem trustworthy.

I helped one of my friend's pure accounts do it. Just get a high level (doesn't have to be high i suppose, pro melee or decent def helps) and basicly block the trolls for the pure. If you step ontop of the troll or the pure steps onto you, it won't work, so be carefull. If you're still having trouble, you can get the high level to attack the troll untill it's just over half-hp, then the pure has to take over. It takes awhile and you have to stick near-ish to the gate or some other troll will attack you.

Spirit of Summer Ghostly Warriors or Slayer
Lets_3ekout replied to ReversE's topic in Help and Advice
Ghostly warriors are nice, but not *THAT* good, their hp is simply too low for people with higher strength levels. Even though the xp rate is slower, I'd go with slayer. If you can train at armoured zombies, then it'd be a better choice to leave slayer alone (assuming you're looking for xp over anything else) -
Agreed with 3rkid. If you're looking for blue charms (you should never go after blue charm droppers because they never drop other good charms along with the occasional blue) then zombies tend to be a good choice. Armour ed zombies are probably the best, but skeletons and zombie in chaos tunnels also drop a decent amount. If you have the slayer level, abberant specters, gargoyles and dark beasts are all good droppers. Last option is kalphites, but only mis-informed people hunt there - armored zombies have kalphites beat in every way.

The Berserker Necklace : A Forgotten Artifact
Lets_3ekout replied to Benjamin6264's topic in General Guides
A good guide, obsidian weapons are severly under-used and under-estimated. I've tried all setups that you've listed (with exception to the obby knife and mace) and I agree with pretty much everything except that obby sword has a higher xp rate than SS. You may not think it, but accuracy *does* make a difference over time even on lower level NPC's, so even though obby sword might have +1 or so max hit over SS (During my experience obby sword had -1 max hit of a whip, I never got around to comparing max hits with SS but since rune defender gives +1-2 to your max, it's either the same or one max hit better) the accuracy of SS does inch it over the xp rate of an obby sword. Regardless, for the price of an obby sword and beserker necklace, your getting quite the deal. Also, you might want to add to your pro/con list that a huge advantage of an obby maul is it's 1 att requirement, which is what obby pures are based around. -
Chance doesn't work like that, you only ever obtain accurate results when your sample is in the thousands or more (not ~100). You can easily code excell to generate a random number out of two numbers and then graph the frequency of one of the numbers. The graph will ALWAYS sway wildly at the start and eventually move into a straight line. Aviansies aren't nerfed, and until someone records 10k+ kills I laugh at anyone who says otherwise ;)
-
It's too slow for that, it's alot faster to just run (or even walk) up and back.
-
Sorry, I don't know why it wouldn't work, I use a credit card to pay for mine. You could try another payment method and see if that works.
-
Pay however you want, the message says paypal which is an online site (you'll have to make an account), but you can use credit cards, pay by phone, etc. (Depends where you live). You can see your options here: https://www.runescape.com/loginapplet/l ... options.ws
-
I suppose the only option left would be sending in a message to customer support, but I don't know if you would be able to... You'd have to be willing to pay for members that the account used at some time, hopefully you can be told how much that is by CS. An iffy situation to say the least :( Edit: If it's 30 days, then that's about 8 bucks to get your account back, with another 8 if your looking to get yourself members
-
Have you tried going on the RS homepage and looking through the manage account menu? I suppose ban appeals would be the one your locking for, though they may have a specific option for suspensions. Edit: try this: https://www.runescape.com/loginapplet/l ... kchoice.ws I assume a suspension is the same thing as a account lock.
-
I believe your account gets disabled when Jagex suspects you aren't the original account owner (could happen if someone hacked you). I don't know much else though, sorry.
-
That was awhile ago when people found out they could do it with selling obby mauls, obviously doesn't work anymore :-#
