  1. It's actually very close to 1 in 3 for a crimson charm, good, but not the best. D chain I believe is 1 in 10,000 - 1 in 30,000. Very rare, never hunt for it here. Just bury it deep in the back of your mind and try to not think "D CHAIN" every time you get a red vamb drop (like many people seem to do, lol). XP rate, with no slayer task is about 50-60k. They're alright, but you have to concentrate the whole time since they aren't agressive (if your on an empty world in chaos tunnels, try line up multiple dusties).
  2. Maybe you saved it in a bad format? Try save as .PNG If the colours go weird as soon as you paste then I don't know :?
  3. You know what, I wouldn't be surprised if the error was mine. The problem is long dealt with, I re-imaged and everything is running perfectly now. I had windows updated, until a point that my computer was stopping me from downloading new updates, I can say for sure that this was far after April 2004. I also use Kerio. Virus or not, my computer was begging for a re-image (Hardrive had about 300gb full, yet I only used about 2gb worth of apps  )
  4. Very nice, I like the scan routes you've drawn :D Sorry if this has been mentioned prior, and although I understand you (probably) are F2P, you should add something about summons. Bunyips are invaluable here, they counter the damage done to you by the arena very well. I really doubt combat familiars are worth it, but it's also worth taking multiple bunyips in, just incase your hunter decides to kill them (if he does, then you just re-summon a bunyip, and he has wasted several valuable seconds killing your bunyip).
  5. +1 My stomach sinks whenever I see Jagex hint at something like this, if they release this I will die inside whenever I train this skill. Don't tell me I wouldn't have to train it either because it gets in the way of my ToG and my total level becomes an utter joke.
  6. Rofl, I did the exact same thing. I bought 150k pouches (to make sure my pouch stack is in white writing  ), I think I've used 12k pouches since then. Can anyone imagine what summoning would be like if they didn't change the renewal? This brought me to insanity within ~3 days (to anyone who doesn't remember, summons did not slowly drain your points back then, instead, all summons had a 2min timer and you had to renew them every 2mins, which used points, or they'd disappear). Would we even use summons in typical training anymore? Or would they remain there for powertrainers and boss hunters? I personally can say I wouldn't bother with Titans, Hydras, Bunyips or anything else in my slaying.
  7. Yes, there is a drop rate. Do you honestly think that someone who's killed 1000 dragons has the same chance of a visage as one whose killed just one? I know some aspects require some math knowledge that not everyone has to have, but this really is just common sense. There is a drop rate for everything, if we want to get theoretical, we can say every item has a drop rate to every monster. What is the drop rate of 3 noted dragon full helms from a goblin? one to infinity. What is the drop rate of bones from a chicken? 100% or one to one. Now, if you believe items don't have fixed percentages, that should mean every item is dropped at frequently as each other item. Obviously we don't come out of dust devil assignments with inventories full of dragon chains so that's not true. However, there is some truth in what you said and that is that a person can kill one dragon and get a visage while another can kill 1000 and get nothing. There ARE drop rates, but they are based on luck, not "count downs". There was an article released on tip.it VERY recently on this, it was a nice read. Personally, I'd estimate somewhere between 1 in 2k - 1 in 5k.
  8. If you look even more closely, you'll notice Peter's eye is a circle. Now here is the trippy party, look at the stone of Jas. Notice anything? It's a circle. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the stone of Jas was somehow formed out of Peter's pupils. :|
  9. I really would have liked the penance healer now that I think of it. When I voted I was thinking what would look best so I voted for either phoenix or mammoth (can't remember). Penance healer and mammoth would have been the useful ones if you ask me. Mammoth has BoB written all over it, perhaps something that can outclass terrorbirds carry limit while outclass the cost of a tortoise? Penance healer is as clear as day, it would have been some type of healer. If it would have been 3hp/15secs then we have made a huge mistake in voting for phoenix. The healer could possibly even poison our enemies, making it a hybrid healer/combat familiar (something only seen from the three basic titans as of now). Then again, I have a feeling that it would have been some cruddy level 40 summoning creature that heals us of poison once per minute and it's scrolls would heal 5 hp. As for the others? meh... Wyvern seems a bit weird to summon, just wouldn't look right.
  10. What I don't get is why the nerf was needed? Seriously? Why hasn't the talon beast, which give 1k+ summoning xp (highest in game) while requiring a low summoning level, not been nerfed? Secondaries. I can get more talon beast charms per day then feathers. While it's true I could buy feathers, that would only be for a VERY select few people who are rolling in cash and then some. Jagex has taken away both the appeal and profit away from a D&D that had a lot of potential for no reason.
  11. From a statistical point of view, sure torso isn't worth the time. But sometimes you have to come out of the math and into the game, that's what we play it for, right? Personally, I enjoyed obtaining my torso and would do it again if I could. I've collected multiple items from there, used many high level gambles and spent more hours there then I care to know. Does it really have to be efficient? If you're going to class it as wasted time, then you may as well class playing RuneScape as a whole a waste of time (which in the end, turns out to be very true rofl). I have bought a Bandos chestplate since I got my torso (sometimes I get tasset aswell, but I never buy tasset without plate), do I consider it a waste? Of course not. Firstly, as you've stated I can re-sell my Bandos chest plate and "fall back" on my torso with an extra 11M or so freed. Even then, I got torso for the fun of it. Now on a statistical standpoint, you forgot to include the time taken to make the cash for the hefty price of Bandos (if you covered it, my apologies. I tend to start skimming posts without noticing it.). Since the fighter torso has no real money you have to pay to obtain it, the time is the only factor. Bandos requires no time, yet 11M cash is required (price is rough). I'd say an average player makes 300k/hr, which is actually quite generous considering most players just do what they enjoy more, possibly not even realising it's less efficient. At 300k/hr it takes 36.6 hours for a Bandos plate, less than a torso. For someone in my position who has both, you must realise that although the Bandos plate might seem the obvious choice, it isn't. By selling my chestplate, I have an extra spare 11m to spend on a fury, beserker ring, supplies on getting new better equipment and generous supplies of super potions, prayer potions, summoning potions and food for months to come. Granted, I don't play for statistics so I keep my bandos plate, there's very little arguement against it when it comes to looks!
  12. I would say spirit mages, I average more money per task there than demons. If you kill zammy mages, I'd lean towards prayer bonus a bit more, but I don't think I'd take a glory away for the sake of some extra prayer.
  13. Yeah, I'm not aware of any safe spots where you can summon your BoB in that place. If you're fast and a little bit lucky I suppose you might be able to select store all before a brutal finds you :|
  14. Revenants are far better. They are the most over-rated NPC combat-wise in all of RuneScape. So many people are scared out of their minds by the thought of coming across one, yet they have NEVER tried killing them, nor using common sense and blocking them out. Revs are incredibly easy to kill, with a GS, you will probably kill them before they eat, even if you don't use a GS spec. PKers were quite... dumb aswell. But although Jagex made a great attempt at Revs, PKers were still slightly more intelligent. Knowledge is power, eh? ;)
  15. Do as you did, drop your food at the entrance, run back for a re-fill of food and when you get back, pray mage (with an anti fire shield and mage prayer brutal dragons can do absoloutely no damage at range) summon your BoB, fill it, go back up, pick up your food and your all set.
  16. It may be worth noting it's defence is incredibly low, I tried it at chaos tunnel fire giants and if I didn't bring scrolls it would be long dead. Actually, this ability doesn't require ash, it MAKES an ash below the monster/player you used the ability on. This ash is 100% ready to be scrolled and revive your phoenix. I missed the exact xp/pouch aswell :| I agree with the accuracy aswell, it was hitting alot on fire giants (as well as being hit alot). As for the duel arena, it's possible that the right click ability will work, therefore spawning an ash below the player, letting you use the scroll (don't know why anyone would bother attacking your phoenix though).
  17. I'm not very familiar with GIMP, sorry. However you shouldn't need it if you have camtasia. In camtasia, open up your project which you want to make an animated pic and on the left hand side click the hyperlink that says something along the lines of "publish". Once you do that, a window should come up and it should have a variety of file types you can choose to make, such as .WMV, .AVI (for the record I'm just assuming it has these 2, lol) and it should also have " animated GIF file. I think you can figure it out from there, I re-imaged my computer and didn't back up camtasia so it's hard for me to be exact in my descriptions :-#
  18. I'm confused, doesn't the scroll ability re-fill it's HP :?: Graphic wise it looks pretty nice, the quest reward doesn't seem all too amazing (though 5k and 500 slayer xp reward is decent, something to add to Jade vine killing). So the Phoenix isn't all that great? It looks like it's size is 2X2 so thats a con, but a level 72 summoning creature hitting 17 is VERY good, that's more than the basic titans, no? Of course, accuracy has to be considered...
  19. Yes... The way you worded it you were asking how to upload them not create them :? Here's a really good guide on how to make these sorts of pictures: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=728981&hilit=Animated From memory, this guide says you need GIMP or another program as well as a screen recording program. From personal experience I can say that you can directly make these sorts of files camtasia, easily selected once you press publish in your project. Don't know how to upload youtube videos here sorry, never needed to do so.
  20. I'd love a Czech server, fat chance of seeing one though. My entire family is Czech and I frequently talk with my parent's friends (also Czech) so I keep fluent in both Czech and English. We have almost no Czech literature that I'm interested in so playing RuneScape in my second language would polish of my fluency in the language :) But then again, there are much bigger crowds for Jagex to appeal to, so again, fat chance.
  21. 2 Hits per 1 dharok hit if your opponent has whip/scimitar. Pretty big setback to the set but KO potential makes up for it in PvP.
  22. It's 2H speed. This link: http://www.runescape.com/p=kKmok3kJqOeN ... le_id=2010 Is extremely useful for checking weapon speeds :)
  23. I can speak from personal experience about kurasks but not turasks. Due to their similarirties it's a fair assumption that the same "rules" apply. Guthans used to work there, you would hit a 0 but heal what would would have hit if they weren't immune to most weaponry. However, Jagex have changed it and it indeed does not work anymore.
  24. Fury should be stressed to be bought over items such as beserker rings, bandos, DFS and so forth. From all the "expensive" items fury not only gives the greatest overall boost, but for one of the cheapest prices. If you're struggling to keep a whip in your bank, then it indeed is not worth it to you. For those juggling with ~10m+ a fury is one of the first things you should buy if you want the best cost effectiveness per your gp. Think about it, you "upgrade" from Verac skirt to Bandos tasset, fork out 7m, get a +2 strength bonus and lose ALOT of defence AND prayer. You upgrade to fury all your stats increase except your attack which stays the same. What do you spend for it? About 2.5M. Comparison speaks for itself.
  25. Prayer is currently 95M buying dragon bones @ mid price and using on gilded altar with burners for level 99 (not including marentil prices, though they're not really high). I believe kent predicted 78M for 99 summon if you hunt waterfiends. My internet is capped atm so I can't check other prices, but I wouldn't be surprised if herb/con was more, or if farming trained to 99 with ONLY trees would be more (this would be extremely expensive). With gilded altars, prayer is faster, easier but more expensive than summoning. Summoning has the down side of charms, but with rapid xp when you DO have your charms.
