  1. I saved up from 2M when I became members to 5M only 4 months later. In the meanwhile I got +500 skill total and numerous quests.. Then a few days back: 900k on getting 60 prayer 800k on some TT I've always wanted. 1M on construction, I just want it up so badly.. I save money to realize at one point, that money isn't cool, its what you spend it on.. that is cool \
  2. I had a slight problem at Kharil when I got him in the tunnel. I wasn't to familiar with barrows then, my second trip orso. So I didn't expect him to pop up THERE!.. scared, misclicked about twelve times before I finally got my prayer up. To late.. My bar turned red.. to red .. Found myself in Falador. Freaked because I was scared I died, and also freaked why the hell I was in falador instead of lumbridge.. Forget I just did the quest which changes your spawnpoint. And thank god..Ring of Life!
  3. Not the best article ever written. Sorry to say that. BUT!.. the message is perfectly clear to me. It was about time someone made this perfectly clear. And The Editor did a great job on that. And as far as the ending of the article goes. Real life is far better then Runescape I think ''NRE'' hit me last night :-$ :
  4. Why would you want nightshade?!?!.. I hardly ever alch. Sometimes I like action, so I go world 18 (?!) to alch near wilderness to see some good fights. And You can always use some random place in the fairy rings. Maybe on the island on the route from seers to releka. People start freaking out why you are there. (also unicorn cage)
  5. I can confirm this story. The 2-wheel theory was explained by a J Mod on the official forums. 1 wheel determens the type of drop. The second wheel determens the specific drop in that group. If the parts on both wheels are really small, then there is a VERY SLIGHT chance..
  6. Yup, running tends to go very fast. Also, if you want to help people to figure out how fast to get 99, you should be looking for the way people actually use. For cooking this would be sharks Combat is PC and guilded altar for prayer. I think money should always be the issue. Maybe make a small budget / high budget split?
  7. A wise man once said: If you do not understand the rules of the game, do not play it. In a death or alive battle, people used to take alot of honour towards their opponent. In the end, you are equel for that moment. You play by the rules as there is no other way to. You lose honour if you do not. Besides, a fight is way more fun if you do not swear or humiliate (spelling?!) your opponent. I have had this with several other games to. One of these being BHD. I use a microphone and we more then once congratulate the other person for a nice shot, a good action or excellent teamplay. And also joke around. But insults, not that often. Ruins the game.
  8. Honoustly, does it make a difference?! If you get every level 1 by 1 or from 65 to 99 in an hour. You still put the same effort and time in the skill.. Personally, I am not a great fan of thieving, but yes, if you want to you can get 99. You can do this the easy way. The easier way. The easiest way Or just the way you like it, so you do not get bored.. :XD:
  9. I simply adore your ways of calculating. I tend to try to understand it, which I most of the time do. Only you should make some more realistic numbers. 600k / hour is over our heads. Try 400k. To my opinion, a blue party hat is not something I'd want. I prefer a high skill. One of my favorite skills is runecrafting. Ever since it came out, I'd enjoyed it. I could finally make my own runes! Runes were always a problem for me. RSC magic was useless compared to magic in RS2. Runes were way to expensive and not obtainable in quantity. Now with RC, I could make my own runes, which made me feel rich. Now I became member and I already had 54 RC. I am currently 61 and I'm just about to start another run, as I want lvl 70. This will earn me lots of money. Merchanting COULD be faster. If I am a good merchanter, I might make over 200k per hour profit. But even if I am a good merchanter.. At higher levels I can earn more money. Even if I have a bad day, I could earn money. Even if the entire economic is falling apart, I could make money! Skilling makes me feel rich, as I know I can always fall back on those things. I am not dependant on a good market.
  10. World 6 and 9 are propper worlds. World 6 has a lot of people there. Please, post these kinds of questions in Help & Advice.
  11. I agree. Merchants make my life easier by providing a lot of a product for a slightly higher price, which ends up saving me money in the long run because I can use the time I save to make the money back. Exactly as you said it. I always say to friends: My time is money. And if my time is worth more money then I could by saving by getting a cheaper seller or a somewhat more expensive buyer, then I just sell/buy it now. I can make 200k profit per hour doing nature runes. If I spend 15 minutes looking for someone who buys it for 20k more.. well I can do the maths without a calculator. Also, I have merchanted. For several days. Made a huge profit (like 1M or so while I started at 500k.) but I just do not like it. I rather skill and get faster methods to earn money and train even more. Also, I can now kill higher level monsters, make higher level things and got way more opportunities then money could buy me. Time is more precious to me then money (read: pixelmoney and IRL money)
  12. First of all. Can someone explain the satchels. So far I've heard of rune satchels, golden satchels?! They are suposed to be for storing cakes? Can someone please explain: -What can you store inside them? -How many, and does this varie with the material the satchel is made from? -Are they common drops? -Can you have more then 1 of each? -And what is it with the tea flask? -Does it hold tea and if so how many? I just did the quest, but if I have to bothered to kill all the monsters, I get annoyed.. So please, could someone explain this?
  13. Could someone explain the exact use of these satchels? Someone mensioned storing food? Do not these satchels are great? Saving inventory food, or very long trips, because of more food? I mean, cakes also heal 12 and can easily be thieved? Cakes get a standard price? Please, some explanation
  14. That's not funny. +1 PS to zaquierming: ive seen you post alot of crap lately.... -.- +2.. that's not ever cool. It's just like scamming really. Actually, it is not. Just because something may be bad does not mean it is scamming or can be compared to scamming. What this person suggests is to expose the stupidity of someone just like many other pranks. However, his has worse consequences than the playful pranks posted before. The game is about fun. So don't spoil other peoples pleasure. So no, this is not a good prank. Also letting someone come for a deal and logging out isn't funny, but very anoying instead. A good prank is when both parties can laugh about it. You can also try to be a black knight at lvl 33. Black (metal) gloves and black boots are all common items. Maybe it might work. I always found it funny to start a conversation to someone you never seen before, and start talking about the most random thing you can think of. But instead of talking to him, talk to yourself. This looks very weird. I keep getting great funny reactions about this one. And I can laugh for myself aswell.
  15. Clean link? (just to make sure, I am not an expert on whats good or not). But I have never heard of it. I know I make profit with every trip I do @ barrows atm. And this is with fire blast. I recently got slayer dart, which I haven't used so far. But I like the idea of this calculater and I will check it out later.
  16. My favorite minigame so far would be either Tears of Guthix or barrows. I enjoyed barrows alot, but it is costly at first. And tears of guthix helps me through the though herblore / farming levels at start. Going pretty good now :) My least favorite is Blast Furnace (YES A MINIGAME TO).. just because you cannot solo it, and there is never a team there.
  17. Thanks. I thought it was kind of obvious to do so, so I didn't even think about including it. Credited to you and Kinslayer777. Well what do you want, me to hold your hand and guide you to the exact location, maybe do a few trades for you? What tips are there, other than Hiding the Public Chat? Maybe one or two if you really want to be pedantic, but nothing truly useful. In terms of buying Essence? This isn't a merchanting guide either.. If you don't know how to buy from players buy now then it's unlikely that the player would have the intellect to manage 15+ Air Runners every 2 minutes. Hmm.. good point.. but if you read the guide, you'd see that I assume that the Crafter Mines their Essence. Yes, some time soon I will add in the Essence price when I'm less busy. As a reaction to my earlier post: Name 10 runecrafters with 44+ runecrafting who mine their own essence. And I state normal essence. Pure essence is alot more expensive. But really. You have to mine 4 hours to spend less then 1 hour in the air altar in world 16! I did this several times and I make at lvl 55 over 6000 air runes in just 10-15 minutes. Also if you sell these quantities, it is hard to find 20ea buyers. But yes, you can sell them at 20 ea. But really, you should make essence included calculations, because 90%+ buys their own essence, to use at lvl 16 air altar.
  18. I am currently lvl 91. I am 1 level away and I thought 2 quests, and after that I will start on DT. I do not expect it to be that hard. I'll have someone help me out on the hardest bosses. But I think with my defense, I could stand a chance, without dieing. And for Horror from the deep. I knew how to kick the boss monsters ars. So I used up my 52 prayer points + 2 monkfishes, before the boss hitted the floor. Though quest.. Even the Troll King, I found pretty easy. The hardest thing I have come across, was the KBD which I succesfully soloed at lvl 88.
  19. Well I've done the quest. My response: Great reward - 5k construction, which is a nice extra. I myself gotten 20k exp in hitpoints, which is quite alot The helmet, beats the berserker in my opinion. Looks a little like Hermes Helmet. For all you miners out there. The mine contains a few mith ores and silver.. and coal and tin. Randomly spread, unusefull. But the center map mine contains 8 coal + 1 runite ore. Anyone who can do the maths, knows that is 1 rune bar. \ Good for anyone who likes a fairly easy quest. Needs some construction experience. And wants to have fun with trolls. Just dont do this quest if you are very low combat. You are going to die..
  20. Also as a quick hint to get bronze nails: 1 Island has an ore shop, buy bronze + tin there. Then fairy to releka where you can smelt + smith. This saves a lot of running to a distance bank
  21. I am getting pretty far. Anyone has a tip for the rotten trolls and especially the Troll King? A plan of attack, requirements, outfit, maybe good food required?
  22. Going there now, cause the reward must be.. huge ? \ And besides, I like to calm down a war.. Feed duckies, not war..
  23. And ofcourse when logging out.. Teleblock disapears.
  24. That's true. Because you can only achieve the right to do Herblore after completing that quest. Which takes you to level 3 herblore. Good fact. Um, I'm not sure this would work, but what if you used 9 genie lamps for getting herblore exp? That would get you to lv 2. Good thought. Would be worth a try, although i doubt anybody would be keen on wasting 9 genie lamps to raise from level 1 to 2. You can't gain experience in herblore in anyway before you did Druidic Ritual quest. Sorry
  25. It is very true: Check blogs for 99 goals. How many of them actually make it? I promised myself, I'd never do it.. And so far I hold to that. Just do what comes. Works fine to me.
