  1. [hide=First] Give Up by The Postal Service (2002) Nice way to wake up. :)[/hide] [hide=Second] In Rainbows by Radiohead (2007) So many fantastic songs on this album. I love Radiohead.[/hide] [hide=Third] Amnesiac by Radiohead (2001) My favourite Radiohead album. Everything is just incredible. I listened to it all the way through, then I had to listen to Pyramid Song, Like Spinning Plates, and Life in a Glasshouse again. Honestly, if you haven't heard this album before, go get it. Now.[/hide] [hide=Fourth/Now] Neon Bible by The Arcade Fire (2007) I personally don't enjoy this album as much as Funeral, but it's still great.[/hide] Obviously in a sort of Indie mood today.
  2. For me it probably does, as do my skills. The happiness I get from playing this game is the feeling I get when I'm getting closer to achieving my goals, both monetary and skill-wise, and from when I actually achieve them. I know some people find the fun of RuneScape in the companionship with other players, but it's really not like that for me. After 3 and a half years (with a break of about a year) of playing this game, I still have literally not one person on my friends list. I'm quite anti-social when I'm training, or even playing mini-games. Friend-making is something that I leave to the real world--not that I just people who enjoy making friends over RuneScape. So as most people have said, money perhaps doesn't equal happiness, but it certainly affects it.
  3. What makes you think that? I have no doubt that if he had of dressed up as Mohammad, there would have been an even bigger reaction. I don't really care either way. It does seem a bit of an overreaction, but some people seem to get offended by just about anything these days. From the principal's point of view, I can see where he was coming from.
  4. I just got off a break yesterday. I'd stopped playing for over a year, so things were pretty different for me as well. However, I'd already planned coming back to RuneScape about two weeks earlier. I'd written out a plan of skills to train and how to train them, both to remind myself of how to play the game, and because, as I went from having 30m to having 1.5m, my training techniques will be a bit different until I get my money back. I must admit, I'm quite happy with the way RuneScape has turned. The Grand Exchange was a huge contrast, but I like it. I haven't spent too much time in the Wilderness yet, so I don't know whether I'm happy with the changes there or not. When I get to Green Dragon slaying, we'll find out.
  5. Pretty face, good fashion sense, bubbly personality. Other things help as well, but those are probably the first ones I notice.
  6. Taken from here. There's been a fair bit of debate and speculation about their purpose on that thread, if you can be bothered reading a few pages of replies.
  7. Ancient History on Friday, Physics on Tuesday, Chemistry on Thursday. I did 12 units though, and even if I study really hard, Chemistry won't end up counting, so I don't intend on studying for it. I'm contemplating just writing "Jesus" for every answer, then walking out after an hour. :)
  8. Congratulations man. :) I still have 3 left, so you can safely assume I hate you, haha.
  9. I've only seen the first season so far, but that is an awesome show.
  10. How2PK, you could try Ernest Bloch. I'm not sure how much you're into Classical music, but his Baal Shem: Three Pictures of Chassidic Life is absolutely incredible. The video I linked is The second movement, Nigun - Improvisation. I've been trying to learn it on violin. It's.. fairly difficult. Fantastic piece nonetheless.
  11. Yeah, I have a friend who's name is Aidan. One of his sister's names is Nadia (Aidan backwards).
  12. Hahaha! I love you. Just for that. And only for that. Hehe, that's me and my brother. Mike Hunt is a funnier name. Daughter: Lucy Son: Samson The latter simply because my name is Sam. "Hey, it's Sam's son Samson." My kids are going to hate me. :)
  13. Just had my Music 1 exam. I think I did pretty well. I didn't do too great with the Duration/Prokofiev question, but I was pretty solid with the rest. How did anyone else go with Adv. Maths and/or Music?
  14. Dubbo Christian School It's possibly not the greatest school ever. But yeah, as for bomb scares, we haven't gotten them in years. We have a lot of drills though. Lots.
  15. A = (h/3 x (4 x a + B)) x 2 When h = 20, a = 7, b = 17, you get 600. When h = 20, a = 9, b = 9, you also get 600. I'm sure there was an easier way to figure it out, but I didn't get that far.
  16. Happy birthday mate. :) And congratulations on finishing your exams so early, haha. I found the test really easy on the whole. Finished with about 30 minutes to spare, and spent the reast of the time checking my answers. I wasn't sure about the last question either though. I said if "a" was increased by 2, "b" would have to go down by 8. I'm not really sure though. EDIT: Yeah, looks like it was 8.
  17. He didn't tell you to get out because you were listening to rap. He told you to get out because you were being an arsehole and tried to act superior to someone listening to Weird Al. Now get out.
  18. now i shall ask, what does tl;dr mean? "Too long; Didn't Read" Nadril is right, by the way.
  19. Pretty much my views. I'm in full support of this. I can see lots of people getting offended due to the negative view of atheism in our society, but those same people would be those who would campaign for having "Jesus Reigns" signs on buses.
  20. Awesome. Hehe, the reason I checked it out in the first place is because I thought the album art was incredible. This has been my morning's listening. [hide=First] Out There by The Heliocentrics. Quite a cool album. Absolutely amazing drumming in it. I got it from Now-Again Records. If anyone likes anything in the vein of Jazz/Funk/Psychedelic/Instrumental Hip-Hop, I would really recommend you check this out.[/hide] [hide=Second] Personal Journals by Sage Francis. I've had this album for a while. I listened to it once before I think, but I wasn't a huge fan. I decided to listen to it firstly because I was in the mood for Hip-Hop, and secondly because someone around here (I think it was teh_langzor?) has been praising Master Francis as of late. I was really digging this album on this listen through.[/hide] [hide=Third] Cease to Begin by Band of Horses. One of my favourite Indie groups. I don't think I like this album as much as Everything All the Time, but it's still very cool.[/hide] [hide=Fourth] Lucy Ford: The Atmosphere EP's by Atmosphere. Second record I have heard from Atmosphere, the first being When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That [cabbage] Gold. It's.. alright. I can't say I enjoyed it too much.[/hide] [hide=Fifth / Now] Dans La Forêt by Aäkon Këëtrëh. I adore this album. Aäkon Këëtrëh is probably my favourite Les Legions Noires group, and this is definitely his finest record. Such a powerful atmosphere, and unlike so much Dark Ambient/Black Metal, it doesn't get repetitive. It's just.. incredible.[/hide] I had the middle three records playing while I was doing a practice paper for my Maths exam tomorrow.
  21. Nadril, I've definitely heard you talking about them, but I don't think you recommended them to me. Either way, I haven't heard them before, so I'll give them a listen. :) Silver, you could try out Zuriaake. They're a pretty solid atmospheric Black Metal band from China. I'm not going to say they're groundbreaking or anything, but they're interesting, and the music sets a great environment. I got the album Afterimage of Autumn yesterday, so I've only had one listen through. However, there were a few things in it that grabbed my attention, so I'm going to have another listen through later on today, and pay a bit more attention to it. They're not exactly well-known, so as for obtaining their music, try here.
