Probably already heard of his work, but give Beirut a try. Folk/Gypsie/Balkan music done almost entirely by one man--Zach Condon--but it sounds like an orchestra of ~20 people. As for an album to start with, Gulag Orkestar is my favourite. His music sets a wonderful mood, the orchestration is well-done, and the melodies and harmonies are imaginative and catchy. My apologies if you already know him, and if that is the case, send me a PM and I'll give you some more recommendations.

Madvillain got me into Hip-Hop. There are quite a few artists I really enjoy, but then there are a lot that have been huge disappointments to me given the hype, e.g. A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan.

I think for now I'm gonna stick to using the Abyss to make Laws. It's probably a fair bit slower than ZMI, but I'm also working on 75 Smithing and 85 Magic (Superheating Mithril), so I can switch between the two to break up the monotony. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Slayer is by no means the most profitable or fastest way to get your combat skills up, but it's a very useful skill to have. The setup seems fine, but it will change depending on what monsters you fight. I might suggest that you first go for smaller goals as opposed to aiming straight for 99. Additionally, I see no reason why you shouldn't train all three melee skills together. If you could do Smoking Kills it would help with your slayer, particularly with getting the Slayer Helm.

Hey H&A, I'm currently 60 Runecrafting and I want to get it to 70. What is the most cost- and time-efficient way for me to get to 70? I'm not too concerned with profit, but I don't want to lose money. Bear in mind I have level 1 Summoning, so I won't be able to use any familiars.

The direct effects of Darwin's work are seen much more readily in our modern society than those of Julius Caesar and Saladin. In addition, as a society, we place a lot of value on significant dates, e.g. anniversaries of 10, 100, 1000 years. 2109 and 819 years aren't "significant" in that sense. As for Jesus, many people celebrate his birth every year. And by the way, Jesus was supposedly born between 6 and 4BCE, not 0(B)CE.

Damnation is incredible. Just saying, incase this is relevant, only four of the bands on my list are at all Metal. And two of them are a lot closer to Ambient than Metal. :)

You should check out . He's a relatively new (at least in terms of people knowing about him) Australian Indie artist. He has two full albums, Memories & Dust and Chimney's Afire, of which I've only listened to the former. My girlfriend recommended him to me, and I instantly loved him. He reminds me somewhat of The Shins, don't ask me why though. Enjoy. :) Off topic: This topic has really, really gone downhill..
