  1. Powman3, I already listen to Coheed and Cambria, but thanks. They're a great band, aren't they? :) Ragen, I've seen you around heaps on this thread, but I'm still not completely sure what you're into. I'm just going to recommend Blut aus Nord. French Ambient Black Metal. I don't think it's what you generally listen to, but no reason not to listen to something a little different. As for albums, try The Work Which Transforms God or MoRT. Ignore the stupid name of the song on the video I linked.
  2. For serious crimes, I would say yes.
  3. Although I agree, that sort of falls to pieces when it comes to, say, a mother or father killing themselves when their children are still minors. But I guess we're talking about euthanasia as opposed to suicide in general.
  4. Ok... ok......... ok....... HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! I pre-ordered this a while ago, and it just came like 10 minutes ago. Ahhhhhh, I am so excited!!!
  5. Post-Metal is just a heavier version of Post-Rock. Though it seems to have a greater tendency to include vocals than Post-Rock does.. And I've heard of Neurosis before, but never checked them out. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into it. :) Cyco, try out Alcest. They're fairly popular, so you may have heard of them. I only just discovered them. Like.. 10 minutes ago. Well, I've had their album for a few months, but I never listened to it until now. I'm really digging the Tristesse Hivernale demo. Supposedly it's significantly different from their other releases, so if it's not to your taste, you could try out another one.
  6. I just finished year 12 a few weeks ago. My year was basically a bunch of prudes in terms of sex. I kind of assumed that all the years below us at my school were like that as well, but apparently not. The little year 10s are going at it. And then there's the school across the road which supposedly has the 3rd highest STD rate in NSW..
  7. You should check out Karl Hector & the Malcouns. Really awesome funk group. They only have one album out, Sahara Swing, that was released earlier this year.
  8. 6/10 Still recognize the name, but you changed your sig..
  9. I generally try to contribute a bit more to threads than this.. but all I can say is "awesome". :)

Private foundation>Netherlands>Religion in the Netherlands>Buddhism Look up "Persia".
  11. They make me feel warm inside.
  12. Fair point. My reason for using the example was just to show that a relationship like that actually has the potential to succeed. At the same time, I would draw into question your statement that "Marriage ate the age of 19 is seen as a much worse thing than it was then." I know my parents, in particular my father, went through a fair bit of opposition about the relationship until my mum was about 18. Also, I know a fair few couples who, in the last two or so years, have gotten married with one of the members being only 19 or 20 (they weren't shotgun weddings, by the way). I would say that the general consensus about it would be about the same now as it was back then. However, you'd probably have to talk to someone who was actually alive 30 or 40 years ago to get a good idea.
  13. It was either 20 or 21, but never mind that. And my point is the same regardless of whether or not "times have changed". My point was that it's too subjective an issue to be treated with a blanket rule, which is how most people have responded to similar questions earlier on in this thread. I have a problem with people making stupid generalizations like "you can't date her, she's two years younger than you" with their only argument being age, and the maturity differences that are possibly, but not necessarily attached. I apologize for the fact that I'm not doing a very good job at explaining this, but I hope you can at least recognize my point regardless.
  14. He said he joined 2 days ago, not you. 3/10 Haven't seen you around a bunch... yet...
  15. of . I don't even care that I've recommended them to death. Their album Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (second link) is awesome. They're debut full-length Cherry Peel (first link) is almost as awesome.

First off, I think you should slow down and buy one thing at a time, perhaps considering the necessity of the items that you want. But never mind that. Why can't you get a job locally? If it's because you're too young or something, you could always make some money mowing lawns or doing other little jobs like that. I would advise against simply selling items you have to pay for new ones. It's generally better to establish a way of making your own money instead of relying on selling your things, as you will eventually run out of things to sell.
  17. I've never had a problem with people of different ages dating. I used this example earlier in the thread, but when my parents met, my mum was 14, and my dad was 21. He expressed interest in her a year later, and they got married 5 or 6 years after that. They've been happily married for almost 30 years. While Lenticular is right in that there are often very large differences in physical, mental, emotional, and maturity aspects, this is not always the case. It's ridiculous to treat relationships with "blanket rules" such as "age/2 + 7" or whatever it is. You have to treat things subjectively when you're dealing with people, as opposed to dealing with scientific laws. In my opinion, if you actually like her, stick with the relationship. If you notice a vast difference in maturity levels and it bothers you, then maybe take things slow. There's no reason to ruin a potentially great relationship just because of the opinions of others.
  18. I've never even learnt about Evolution, let alone the specifics of the Big Bang. I spent grades 1 - 10 being home-schooled with a Christian education organization, and they didn't touch the subject. I probably could have researched it a bit, but Biology isn't something that really interests me..
  19. 10/10 But like.. everyone knows you. =\
  20. Just to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea, I wasn't trying to attack you. I'm fine with people having different opinions to me in terms of what is funny and what isn't. I'm just getting annoyed with all the people constantly whinging about it being taken off the board, as opposed to being annoyed at you specifically.
  21. I don't have anything to recommend you though. To the poster below, please recommend something to Cyco, not me.
  22. Ergh, get over it. I honestly didn't find that thread even remotely funny. It's not because I'm trying to be "mature" by not finding sexual jokes funny, it just.. wasn't funny.
  23. I'm pretty much of the attitude "if they want to die, let them". In Australia, euthanasia is illegal. If a patient has gotten to the stage where they no longer live and have given up doctors don't speed up their death in a strict sense. They stop whatever treatment was keeping them alive and make the death as comfortable as possible. I'm under the assumption that this is the practice in other nations where euthanasia is illegal. Problem with this is they can't always make the death comfortable. Another problem is that keeping them alive when they don't want to be alive wastes* space in hospitals. While it's not so much of a problem in private hospitals, it can often be an issue in public hospitals. In addition, keeping them alive often waste* funds that could be better placed in other areas. As long as the person in question is in a good enough state of mind to make a "life-changing" decision, and as long as the person performing the euthanasia has no moral issues with it, I see no problem. However, who would decide whether the person was in a good enough state of mind to make the decision is another matter. *I'm cautious about using the word "waste" in topics relation to the life of a human. However, I felt it was appropriate in this case. Don't take my use of it the wrong way.
