  1. If someone really had something to say to me they would either say it ingame or find a different way to message me (E.G Forums, IRC, ect.), otherwise the person doesn't know me at all and would have much better luck asking a friend instead of a stranger. I help people all the time whether it be ingame, through Tip.It messages or through IRC, but I can't seriously answer every question that people ask me. Stupid questions that could have been answered by themselves in less time than it took to add me and message me I generally do not respond to (unless it is a friend), and I also have to deal with spam, hate messages, praise messages (I don't care if you think I am awesome, it's a game.) and just general "Will you add me" messages and it just clutters everything up. I normally have my chat set to ON, but if the people start spamming or anything it just isn't worth taking away from my enjoyment of the game. It IS all about me, in my eyes, so why should I sacrifice enjoyment on a game to help out someone that has never and will never help me, because honestly if I do even answer people's questions most of the time they don't even say thanks, and never message me again.
  2. You can get the full 10% bonus without killing EVERYTHING, but if you leave too many monsters alive it will go down quickly. Normally I will kill everything that is under like 90 combat except for the monsters I am forced to kill to open doors, in this way I usually get 5-10% bonus.
  3. None of these bosses can even come close to comparing to corp. With large teams of high levels you would expect them to atleast know some strategy or have some sense to actually gear up when fighting a level 500+ monster. As I can see in your screen shots your teams are just terrible as far as gear goes, and most of them are using daggers and long swords, terrible weapons for bosses, get a spear. I am only on the 28th floor, but I have yet to encounter a boss which is actually difficult as long as you properly prepare. While these new bosses may have more hp than corp, the fact that they can be taken down so easy means that none of them are even in the same ballpark. Basically if you are going to go with teams, make sure you are with a decent team who doesnt 1 item with daggers, or you are just wasting your time for trash xp.
  4. "I demonstrate my faith in a dark god." "Give me the answer not in words but with an object." Does anyone know this riddle?
  5. With summer coming up soon we will be seeing a rise in nearly all specialty armour and weapons. Each summer as thousands more sign in to play more frequently the general price level normally rises and stay high until August.
  6. Mains are much more fun in my opinion, although the challenge of training a specialty account is very nice aswell. If you haven't played the game to its full potential, I would recommend you play the main first, and work on a tanker at a later date if you wanted.
  7. So is it like a camera walk through? Or an account without a name or what? Sounds very odd, but at the same time completely useless for everyone who plays RS already, so it doesn't really matter.
  8. Best way for medals is to do all 6 fish varieties, working in a team is very helpful for this. This way will earn you 2 medals a game and you can camp at the heaviest fish afterwards to boost your score, I have come in the top 4 everytime that I do all 6 fish. If you aren't up to doing all 6 fish and would rather camp one spot then you are looking at 1.17 medals per game (on average). This is because you will earn 1 medal for having an average rating of over 80% and you will have a 1/6 chance (16.67%) at randomly getting the heaviest fish (which would award you with the 80% of total fish from the heaviest variety). This minigame is really all about the medals seeing as tokens come in very quick. In the future I see it possible to get all 4 medals (or atleast 3) as long as you can get a decent sized team going, as I will explain below. With say an 8 man team you can all split up and send 2 people to each spot, they will find the 100% at each spot and with any luck all 6 fish would be found right away, otherwise you could just all work together to find where the last 2 fish are. One person will have to identify the heaviest fish quite quickly (this is the reason you may only get 3 medals, assuming you choose the wrong one). You will get 100% on the other 5 fish you are missing without error (keeping your average rating over 80%) and then go camp the heaviest fish hoping that overall you will get 80% of your total catch at the heaviest fish. In this way you would be set up for all 4 medals, 15k+ weight and heaviest fish caught most likely.
  9. Musky, Myself and Toast (In order) ripping it up at the new D&D.
  10. Well to be honest we have gotten TONS of high leveled content over the last 6 months (which became very obvious when I came back after not playing for 6 months). I mean we were giving herblore things up to level 96 which changed the whole way herblore was looked at, also as a good side effect it bumped up herb prices making many low-leveled monsters very profitable. We were given a whole new prayer book (which I haven't gotten yet, but will soon) which made prayer useful up to 95, shot dragon bones through the roof and gave both high and low-leveled players a huge profit boost from their dragon trips. There have been TONS of small updates to improve game play for everyone, there has been the addition of a new skilling miningame (Shattered Heart) which is obviously more used by higher players than lower players. Mining and fishing were upgraded with the addition of Living Rock Caverns, giving us the new most efficient ways to train both. Strykewyrms brought an amazing new staff, and hexcrest/focus sight which gave range and mage a fighting chance in slayer now, also made a new highest slayer monster in the game at 93 slayer required. Runecrafting got a big update making it more profitable for everyone with the addition of extra runes without having the "double level" as previously needed. Fishing, thieving and fishing were all affected by the update which allows agility to help you in the other two. Overall there has been a lot of big updates in the last 6-8 months, I am very happy with the amount and quality of content we have been given and I will be happy with all of it until the new skill comes out, that is the only update I am looking forward to.
  11. Yes, it lasts for approx 50,300 xp.
  12. I haven't gotten to play yet because I missed the last round by about 1 minute so I really wish they fix the times, but after a while they will correct themselves when there isnt enough people to fill lobbies at night. From reading the RS guide it doesn't seem to have big rewards at all, but I think the game itself is going to be quite fun so I can't wait to play it. 51 minutes till next round for anyone wondering.
  13. Uggg I normally wouldn't complain about an update, but could jagex have atleast staggered the starting times right off the bat? It seems that every world is running on the same 90 minute schedual.
  14. I just downloaded it and did setup and it appears to be the exact same as the old client, I was hoping for some add-ons but maybe that will happen later on.
  15. 80 Slayer + 76 Attack + 75 Str + 94 Combat + Finally melee based all this task :P
  16. Just got 88 summoning on my pure, forgot to pic though :S
  17. Herblore is more expensive if you are training both sensibly, so I personally will do that first. However, summoning is MUCH faster to train...so I would say that it depends on what levels you are trying to reach. I do not see what the worry about the start time is really...I seriously doubt that *most* players will even be on enough to run down the multiplier to 1.1, so it really does not matter when you start, seeing as you only need at most 10 out of 72 hours to get the 1.2+ multiplier. There will be tons of people playing 30+ hours this weekend I bet, although it is sad it is true. Summoning would be a better choice to go first aswell since herblore will only save you money really, but summoning will save you a TON of time and a bit of cash aswell.
  18. On all three of my accounts I have gotten 99 range as my first 99.
  19. There it goes, 3a melee has crashed aswell. Sold legs at mid and still can't sell the plate.
  20. 3rd age is in pretty rough shape atm, range and mage have already crashed, and 3a melee is in pretty low demand now from fear it will crash too so I plan on selling mine for max in ge after this next update which should be very soon.
  21. Just got 99 range on my pure, no party or anything because it was just a fun 99 to get and it isn;t like I had to work at it. 99 Range Hat-trick: My other two accounts: [skillz Ftw] lvl: 99 (104) | exp: 22,146,263 (11.0% of 200M XP) | rank: 3,428 [3a Relic] lvl: 99 (103) | exp: 19,858,481 (9.92% of 200M XP) | rank: 6,034 So up to 55M range xp between the 3 :)
  22. I will definitly be getting this on my pure, if you use sumona you get those tasks quite often. At about 280 points so not too far :)
  23. Is there any concern about 3a plate + legs crashing? I have been holding on to mine for over 6 months and I was wondering if it is getting near time to sell them. If I sold soon I could get some good risings out of them most likely, but if they aren't at risk I may still hold on to them.
  24. This. Fire cape businesses are very prominent. If they tampered with your account in any way other than the fire cape, they'd be a lot less prevalent, for obvious reasons. Fire Capes have been sold for a long long time, back before limits if you were good at it then you could get a cape for basically anyone with 70+ range and 50+ pray for about 2-4M cash. Also for most people who pay for money, they don't have the stats to get 5M in an hour (Probably less than 1% of rs does), for a normal playing 5M takes 7-10 hours to get by any normal methods.
  25. What people aren't realizing for the most part is that in the old system .5 and higher did not round up, it always rounded down. Tons of people have evidence of this already (Including myself, I can now range a 359 with my normal gear instead of 35.) Speaking just from a range standpoint since that I what I am doing atm, I fire a bolt about ever 2 seconds, throw on a .5 second to each shot to compensate for time between kills and picking up drops. At 2.5 seconds per shot, that is 1,440 shots per hour, now on average you will get .5 more of a hit than before, this means 1,440 * (.5) = 720 more damage per hour than before (this 720 is still using the old hits system), this means approximately 2,880 more xp per hour, which doesnt seem like much but seeing as range is only about 40k an hour anyways on slayer it is a good 7.2% more xp/hr. This isn't much but it is more than a marginal boost, I will definitly take a 7.2% increase in my range training. However with melee the difference is more marginal, people get up around 80k an hour now because of alternate training, meaning this is only a 3.6% boost, but abyssal whip is faster than a rune cbow so it is probably around a 5% boost, still not too bad. However, the huge implications of this come in with using super fast weapons, or weapons which hit multiple targets (eg. Ice burst, Chins, ect.) A burst is about the same speed as the rune cbow, so we are still working with 1,440 bursts an hour, but now we tag on that most people bursting are doing something such as rock lobsters, so they are hitting 7+ targets at a time for the majority of the time. This means we now get 5,040 more damage per hour than previously, or 10k more magic xp, plus 7k more hp xp. This is really starting to look better. Although it is still only a small difference, it is saving you time and money in the long run. Personally I am a big fan of this update, sure it will take time to get used to, but so does Jagex changing the interfaces every few months too. Also this opens up the door for new armour, weapons, ect., all based on your Constitution level, and taking damage now does not affect your level so the seperation allows for more flexibility.
