You don't have to equip the stake. This seems a bit odd, I would say check the in game quest summary, see what it tells you to do. If you've done it all correctly send a customer support query - but double check everything first. Fletching/Woodcutting are my highest at 77, Farming is my lowest at 7 (I think, check my stats sig, EDIT, scratch that, its too low to even register :D ) but I have a load of herb and tree seeds ready to go as soon as I can prise myself away from slayer assignments. df

I could, atm I'm only fletching slowly in between slayer assignments but I could do you some. I'll try and get 1k finished tonight, just add Iratebadger, I'll pm you when I have 1k to trade. I'd post a Free Fletching xp thread as well if you are in a rush because I don't like massive fletching campaigns (1000 bows = about 4000 clicks = RSI). I've given a fair amount of stuff back to people but its suprising the number of people who just don't bother coming back for it, even when its semi-good stuff (rune, glory etc) Oh and arrow stealers suck. I once had a guy pick up some of my knives when I was training range and use them right there in front of me. He even had the cheek to ask for more when they ran out. :evil: df

I was winding myself up for a bit of a rant about this myself, but it seems you beat me to it :) What really annoys me isn't that they ask (although the manner in which they do suggests that there is some secret money tree that everyone else is holding out on them about) its the style of the threads: i got my ful rune stlen an ned too mak 400k qwik, TELL ME HW!"!!!!!""!!11 Firstly, I don't believe they got their stuff nicked. It doesn't happen that often. Secondly they never tell you their skills or whether they are p2p or f2p. Thirdly they never search - in fact you barely even have to search as there is usually one of these at the top of the boards at all times anyway. Fourthly they often whine about the fact that they can't make 400k per hour on a 200 skill total. Fifthly they often don't thank anyone for their help (this extends to other posts too). That my two pennies (cents) anyway BTW shouldn't this be on rants? df

I'm not sure if the loss would create a [bleep]e this big but a high level merchant was banned recently (in between those time you bought and sold I believe) and he had 200 santas in his bank. That has probably created a price scare. Only time will tell where the price will stabalise. The rares market is very edgy so it could be a while... df

One technique is to buy the logs and bowstrings in bulk then set up a thread on the Robin Hood marketplace boards offering free fletching xp. The deal is you trade any lv70+ fletcher 1000 logs and 1000 bs for 1000 strung yew longs. That way you get yew longs for about 480gp and the fletcher gets quick xp. I will often accept a trade like this if I have 1000 yew longs because it saves me the hassle of buying bs, which can be a pain, and selling yew longs. BTW people often sweeten the deal a bit with 30-100gp per bow fletched just to get people quicker. I don't know how quick this method will be for you but spending that much you should be able to get a better price than 480 per bow (components). df

I believe a lot of people fight dust devils for them. The Kalphite Queen probably has a higher drop rate, but is [understatement] a bit more tricky [/understatement] to kill. If you get Bones to Peaches spell you can basically camp out at the dusties until you get your chain. However, someone on this board has dust devil thread and he's killed thousands without a chain. df

Fair enough. I find its usually closer to 75% poison success for me. Plus even at 76 cb I manage to kill them before the poison (s) does more than 12 damage. With a whip you must be through them a fair bit quicker than me (d long :? ) as well. Like anything though, personal preference. :) df

The secret to quick money on RS is that there is no secret. Train hard for lots of money fast or do lots of monkey work (ess mining, flax picking, woodcutting) for slower money. Or pick money at the secret money tree behing lummby general store... df

If you ask the 'Got any tips for me?' option after you get your task they will always tell you if there is anything to help. If you need slayer equipment e.g. ice coolers, or salt they will tell you here. For normal monsters, i.e. non-slayer ones, I don't believe you every gain an advantage from slayer equipment (unless you're using slayer dart obviously). They also give you other tips such as using poison on trolls etc. (which is a rubbish idea btw :D ) df

Go west from the burthorpe castle around the south side of the plateau. You will find an injured soldier laying on the ground. Just after him there is a warning sign. Keep heading west and the path splits to the north and south. Take the narrow path to the SOUTH, not the north (you'll get hammered by range attacks to the north). He lives in a little hut at the top of that winding path. Climbing boots cost 12gp. df

Right now I'm loving slayer, but my favorite f2p skill to train is range atm. Probably because its still quite new to me and the levels are stll easy to get. df

Yep, there is a mask, I have it too. And the emotes. After you get a full set (costume and emotes) you just get 500gp from the event. df
