best place to pick and spin flax? price check on nats?
dogfever replied to donutjunkie's topic in Help and Advice
For the flax: Seers, pick it (field south east of party hall), spin it (upstairs just west of party hall), bank or sell it (Seers bank). Nats go for about 300 ea. df -
I may be wrong but I think your defence to magic will also increase with magic lv. Mage def is something like 50% def lv and 50% mage lv? df

The problem with these type of enquiries is that the drops are so rare anyway that it would take a massive study to work out the exact benefit of a ROW. I personally always wear mine because I don't think JaGex would release something which would damage your chances of getting a good drop so I don't really have anything to lose (except my ROW if I manage to get myself killed :D ).

WATS A WAY TO MAKE QUIK MONEY BEIN A MEMBER
dogfever replied to chrisn666's topic in Help and Advice
That would depend on your skills, if you post them people will be able to help more. If you have low skills then go to Seers and pick flax. Flax sells for 100 gp ea, if you spin it to bow strings these sell for 180 ea and are very easy to sell. Don't post in CAPS, its considered to be shouting and therefore a bit rude. df -
How long have you been playing this game?
dogfever replied to Andrew1788's topic in General Discussion
I've played since January this year. Member since March. I kind of get fixated on stuff hence the unbalanced stats. -
Urgent plz help where should I train my range?
dogfever replied to mujammil's topic in Help and Advice
At lv 40 I was training on the lv22 guards on the fally walls. There are no safe spots but they hardly ever hit, plus they drop lv2 clue scrolls (I'm assuming you are p2p as you have an agility level). Otherwise the moss giants are good xp and drops and there are plenty of safe spots in the varrock sewers, especially at the south cave and more so when they go non-agressive. df -
Fletching is how I make my money (when I can be bothered). When I got members I trained fletching by cutting willows and fletching unstrung willow longs (you need to do some other stuff first, see below). To get from lv1(arrow shafts) to lv70 (yew longs) you need 565 normal logs, 787 oak logs and 17333 willow logs. This is if you are fletching unstrung bows (cheapest and probably fastest). You start by fletching arrow shafts (79 logs will give you 1185 shafts and lv5) The shafts sell for about 10 gp each. Then fletch 154 short bows and just see them to the general store (idk how much they sell for). Lv10. Then 332 long bows. Lv20. 204 oak shorts. Lv25 583 oak longs. Lv35 446 willow shorts. Lv40 16887 willow longs. Lv70 It is possible to do maples but they cut slower and cost more so I never bothered. At 70 you can make yew longs which you can high alch for 748gp (I think, about that anyway) or sell for 550-600gp each. Plus if you cut your own logs, which takes time but can be done in f2p. You will have over 70wc meaning you can cut magic logs (slow but they sell for 900-1000gp each). RC is also supposed to be good but I never really bothered.

I did this with about lv 40 range using safe spots. Really easy, lost maybe 2 hp in all. I just used protect from melee on the greaters and ran past them.

Trader is Barek in north east of varrock main square. he buys grey wolf fur for 120 gp each I think
-
Yeah, if you look at the end of the tip it guide you can sell the scrolls for about 100gp(?) to a guy in the village.
-
The chest will always contain a drag stone but may also contain other good items such as runite bars and other stuff (not sure what, I can't remember all the things I got). Each key only works once then disintegrates.

Use range or mage attack
-
Chicken rat cow bear. (But seriously you are posting on tip.it home of the best RS2 walkthoughs)
-
Actually you might find bodies useful for 'missed curse' mage training. Having said that, I always crafted airs using Fally east bank.
-
Willow longs. Don't string them. Sell them to general store for 12gp ea minimum. If you buy in small amounts or on f2p you can get for 30ea, or just cut them yourself for excellent wc xp
-
I don't know if thats true but you really don't need that advantage. Range or mage is easy because there are loads of safe spots. So long as your level is high enough to hit the spirit you can kill it without taking more than 10 damage, zero if you're good at luring.

Chef's delight doesn't have a respawn that I know of and it only raises your cooking by 3 apparently.

If you are a member you can make a some money buying coal and iron and using them to smith cannonballs (I think you have to do dwarf cannon quest to get cball mould but I'm not sure). If you aren't P2P then you can only make money if you mine the stuff yourself. df

Go to the north west corner of the castle (inside the main building). THere is a tower there just go up two sets of stairs (maybe ladders I can't remember) he is in the top of the tower.
-
The Waterfall quest guide tells you how to recover a lost amulet. I think you have to repeat the quest from the bit with the dwarf in jail under the Gnome Village. BTW this is probably better in Help and Advice

Just a quick note. If your task was given by a higher slayer master you can go to Burthorpe and change it unless it is a task that the Burthorpe master would give you anyway.

Assuming that drops have a constant probability (albeit a different probability with and without a ROW) your chances of gaining n drops in k kills will be determined by a binomial distribution. This is not defined by JaGex this is the simple reality of multiple binary outcome samples (kills in this case) with a fixed probability of success. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binomial_distribution The fact that this probability can be calculated by a formula does not imply that the chances of gaining a good item, or indeed any item, are not random. Indeed the method used to ascertain the type of drop will almost certainly involve random number generation and comparison. Incidentally the probability of getting a good drop (or any drop for that matter) only approaches 1 (i.e. certainty) as k(number of kills) approaches infinity. The only question of importance is the value of p, the probability of obtaining a drop with and without a ROW. This can be determined from large studies (the larger the better), for items with a very low drop rate hundreds of thousands of kills would need to be recorded to achieve a rough estimate of p. Sorry for the overly scientific approach but some of the arguements above were kind of at cross purposes.

THe majority of ess crafted in p2p originally comes from f2p miners which is where the autoers are. THis is just a method of removing the cash flow from p2p to f2p autoers
-
Agree with oregg about prices (not so sure about f2p). Rune prices are effectively capped, this will knock on to ess prices. However, it is not infeasible that lower level 'pure runes' such a cosmics will now become loss making due to the value of XP being factored in. An example of this is leather and leather goods where the finished product is worth less than the raw material (considerably less in the case of leather). May you live in interesting times.

Good to see JaGex taking more action against autoers. There should be a reasonable price [bleep]e on pure ess because of panic buying. It will be interesting to see where it stabilises and how fast. Short term good news for me though, training rc on bodies! Normal ess on f2p will crash in price (no doubt the Rants forum will be getting a few hits over the next couple of days). Personally I won't be buying any pure for a couple of weeks untill I see what happens to the price.
