  1. Actually I love the fact that weight below 0 kg doesn't do anything - it makes puzzling with equipment fun in certain spots. For example I went through a lot of testing equipment for ZMI/rc abbys (this was before run energy update), taking things like bear helmet sacred clay armor (! rune like stats for 1 kg / piece), together with spottier cape, gloves & boots. And I weighted 0 kg whith 4 pouches. It was fun searching for such equipment.
  2. Uh, from my personal experience -I don't skip tasks, and slayer is my only way for summoning- I got 0-88 summoning in the time I got 70-86 slayer... So more like 1.5-2 xp / slayer xp.
  3. Really tell me: what benefit does it have for the gameplay if people can buy their victory? In rs you receive victory if you get to a certain goal in xp/wealth. So with buyable xp/wealth, people can buy the victory condition. It wouldn't be a problem if those who buy would not interfere with those who don't: however this is the case & by buying they make certain commodities more common - either directly by buying it, or indirectly by having easier time collecting it. Which result in those who collect that commodoty to have a negative experience. On top of that it damages achievements: already I forgot about the race to 200M xp because of this: from the data I see & the little bits I collected myself you get around 10k xp per dollar spent. So maxing the difficult skills would be possible for only 1000 euros?
  4. They slap that on the end of every future update post. Still a potential get out clause if the darts prove popular enough, similar to subject to availability clauses on sale items in shops. They try not to run out but if they do customer has no grounds for complaints. This clause on the end of posts just serves the same purpose or has the potential to, they say now items won't be sold in Solomon's store or put on SOF, but just wait til IVP get greedier or Solomon's store proves less of a profit maker than expected. Then I expect fully to see all 4 items for sale. I distrust Jagex ever since the whole no more free trade/wildy U-turn and removal of real life clause of RWT rule after SOF buyable spins were released. funny thing is that "subject to availability" is illegal in the EU: if you see it is sold out & they are planning to get the same item again later, you are in full rights to expect the reduction - given you were in the shop at the time of the sale. Only if they don't get that item anymore they are not obligated. Those clauses in a normal environment hold no meaning as the goal - obscuring information for customers - is against the honour code on advertisement.
  5. While he's a captain of the ship, yes. But any captain is allowed to change ships (or become a farmer or whatever). Yet a captain can never leave the ship unless he knows it is in save lands, it is actually a crime if a captain leaves the ship before the others. (As seen by the ferry earlier this year in italy, where the captain left the sinking ship as first and is now in jail for leaving instead of helping). I'm also not saying that andrew should not leave RS: be my guest and leave.. But saying he deserves respect for that, and would be stupid not to leave is something I disagree with. Things that earn respect are people who devote their life for a company. Keeping a company the "family" feeling of a small company yet very influental in the world. (for example how the philips family made philips one of the largest companies between 1900 & 1980, after that it went downhill as investors came into the picture & fritz philips had to retire for old age).
  6. No someone who just leaves the ship is never a good captain. A captain is always to leave the ship as last, and be first on board: those are traits of leadership.
  7. Isn't there a $200 dollar limit (or something like that) a day for buying SoF spins? This is a very limiting factor. My very rough estimation (based on my own limited data on average xp/spin) is that buying spins for 200m in all skills would cost something in the region of $150k to $300k. If the $200 dollar limit is true, this means it would take 2-4 years to get 200m xp in all skills by using SoF solely. Well ne could still get 99 all skills in around 1/10th of the amount of lamps: so you're looking at half a year to buy yourself 99 all.. That's quite fast.
  8. can the outfit be stored in the poh?
  9. did you read my post? The amount of influence flash has on web development is actually rapidly becoming smaller - and this is also seen by adobe, who actually are not pushing flash forward anymore as the end all best item.
  10. Why do you say flash is at the end of its life? If anything, I see tons more people adopting it for their casual games and site elements. Because it is; actually most developers agree that for any web aplications (site elements & games are part of that) HTML5 is much more powerful, more secure - "easier" to handle (cross compatible by design), and least but not last an open standard. And the refusal from iOS to allow for flash (yet they do allow html5), as well as google & mozilla working more native html5 components (webgl is a standard to access the native graphic card through the HTML5 component of any web page). For both their browsers as well as android, is a sure indication in which basket one should put their eggs. The only thing HTML5 currently doesn't handle as well are things required for portal sites - it is "not" possible if you open a webpage/game through a portal site that this game makes a connection to it's another (the actual game creators) site: but then again HTML5 is only a few years old and there's a large momentum (through a collabirate support of google, apple & microsoft). So probably in the future portal sites will change (to act also as proxy for multiplayer games & proxy the data to the actual game host).
  11. lol so something similar to game maker.. Seems he's trying to reinvent the wheel (and frankly I doubt he has the same experience as the original creators of GTA, lemmings & head of xbox europe).... Weird those companies suddenly start everywhere now that flash is in end of life.
  12. no foreign means less control; if a company stays dutch I'm in a much stronger legal position if they suddenly steal my money. If jagex would now, after buying a 12 month membership, not give me membership. Or ban me. I can't get my money back - as I dont' live in the US and as non US citizin I can't use their legal system optimal. Whereas the dutch law say that a company may never remove services from a customer without a written warning before (which the consumer may dispute & the consumer then always gets a 1 month grace/till it is correctly handled).
  13. Sorry for of topic: but don't you find it completely stupid to make a video of a spreadsheet? Instead of just typing down your thoughts as to make it easily available for everyone?
  14. If that were the case jagex would have been pulled in every conceivable angle and direction without making much effort to really truly develope the game they created. We aren't dealing with just a business, but a business that is the owner of a piece of artwork created and still being created for over ten years. What the customers expect doesn't matter nearly as much as the creators views and expectations are for the game because they are taking what they have thought up and put it into a semi tangible piece of work. You never wonder why new games made by jagex aren't a succes? (Compare that to diablo 3). As I said: for the product itself the consumers don't really bother: they already bought and keep resubscribing anyways, until they get bored. However for a future (new) product the image of a company & the quality in the past is very important. So unless jagex just plans to go bankrupt after runescape they should make sure to get a good amount of customers who are happy with the direction jagex goes.
  15. Those who say "jagex is a company" simply forget the oldest rule in the book: the consumer is king. Simply put if you do things the consumer doesn't like you'll end up hurting yourself at some point. Might not be a year, might take 2 years but in the long run it damages your company, not only the product but the company as a whole suffers when you don't put the consumer at the heighest position.
  16. In respect to the brew change: also consider the balance in creation of a brew. The sole reason why sharks were in the past used over potatoes was because a shark was so much easier to make. Same for a saradomin brew: that actually requirs quite a few not-quick-to-gather materials (1.5 nest & 1.5 snapdragon). So such a change would mean brews will be terribly difficult food, for a small benefit. In the long term this will effect the price of nests & snaps a lot. (As no one will use them).
  17. I'd really get some whip to speed it up, and an enhanced excalibur is also very useful in long fights.
  18. You can use the minions as prime targets, as only the main target handles the hit/miss effect.
  19. Well last time I went to dragons everytime after 15 minutes there were at least 2 other cannons set up.... But as said that's over 6 months ago...
  20. Wait a minute.. Are they advertising that "you can now buy new items for 45 dollar?"
  21. I administrate at the moment 3 different hosts (of which 2 are personal) should I post here each time I change my personal webhost? Protecting people by obfuscation (which simply hiding IP is) is never a good method: the internet protocol depends on the IP addresses. (Heck IP means internet protocol). By disabling this you simply remove all kind of interaction into a forum and you try to make it a monolyth. Where the internet is only succesful over other network protocols because it didn't adapt to a monolyth structure. The IP knowledge is one of the corner stones.
  22. Wouldn't it be better to do that at a later date?
  23. Solo is probably the best way - at low lvls you'll be otherwise way to hard pressed to find a team. Once you can do abbandon 2 you'll be able to actually find teams, which make it both more fun (and personally I find it that others motivate me to quickly clear a dungeon) & faster xp. As for solo: well I say do c1 (or c2 if you fish/wc) around 80% of the floors, and then do c6 meds for the last few.
  24. Well I just saw a kiln guide (made by ahappyseeker), and a quick glance over the gear & items showed me 'uuuuh, this is pretty far away'. Is fighting the kiln feasible/decent with extremes? I really wish not to use overloads (don't want to stew constantly). When I was in a chatroom I was told glacors are "terrible" money as the prices have crashed mostly? Same for frosts I guess (is it even worth it to bring a cannon with all these bots & wasting balls on kills-by-bots)?
