How many days for quest cape??
I got a quest cape 8 months after becomming a member, but I had decent stats from f2p including 44 rc, 70 cb, and 70 crafting. A quest cape wasn't my goal initially; I just liked quests  . By the time I had 150 qp or so, I just decided to go for it.

quick question about the kalphite queen ..............
Yes, my friend and I both have kalphites for slayer, and we tried this today. He hit a 42 through prayer with whip. I hit a 39 with d hally spec. This was all during the 2nd form. However, veracs is MUCH more accurate, and I think its a little faster than the black mask method.
-
Fury Vs. Salve Amulet (e) Against Ankous
salve (e) = 20% black mask = 15% salve- Yeah but you can wear a fury with a black mask :P . That evens it out a little bit.

Weapons that do ZERO damage? Things to make you bad?
Mouse toy also has negative stats like flowers.

aviantese question!
Emerald bolts are very useful if you take on several at once with prayer. Shoot one, let the poison damage it while you kill another. But they hit too hard to be good unless you bring rune/barrows legs or use range prayer (range pray if taking on several at once.)

Ashes and the grand exchange
Where did you hear that :|.? 3 hit u answer that please. Naw, because that would be telling :-# Don't pull a Muggi... =; I was planning on revealing it, but you guys blew it :| Well what would you have done in our situation? You can't tease a large group of people and not expect a negative response. Btw, I think it was buying silver ores from the silver seller in ardy before they nerfed him. OT: Some people are saying that ashes will be used in summoning imps.

prayer book or obby shield?
Its +5 str bonus. Use the obby shield if you have it. GET A RUNE DEFENDER ASAP! Then you wouldn't need this question at all.

Spritual Warriors
Warriors are excellent xp and tons of alchable drops (too many for one inventory, BRING ALCH RUNES!!!). Anyone who suggests burthorping them has obviously never tried them the right way. They rarely hit as long as you wear rune+ armor, but unless you have guthans, you will probably bank at least once for food. I prefer to wear a zammy cape btw, because it saves the ammy spot for a fury/glory and the shield spot for a rune defender. Don't forget to bring a black mask. Rangers are horrible, no good ranger spots at all and they hit a lot. I heard theres some good spots in the bandos area, so check it out if you wear a piece of bandos armor.

Weird grand exchange prices?
no more high alching for massive profit on yew longbows, if u ask me thats a major step in the right direction. There was no massive profit....ever. Buying 3000 yew longs for 768 gp and alching is exactly the same as getting 3000 hamers free and alching. Time to alch your hammers for exp?

Sorry, Comrade, but Price Controls Don¢¢âš¬¢âž¢t Work
[hide=Quote wall] We have two completely different directions we approached this update from. You were hoping for a free trading system. I was just hoping they wouldn't remove 1 to 1 trading with this update. I'm understandably happy it didn't happen, at least not yet. For you, disappointment. For me, relief. Not saying it's perfect, but it could have been far worse. 1 to 1 trade limits are coming. They will wait until the GE stabilizes and we finish their beta testing for them, and then they'll do it. It won't be removed entirely, but the days of being able to trade large volumes or $ values directly are coming to an end, probably soon. Yes, that's just speculation, but Jagex's recent pattern of changes involving ham-handed control grabs strongly suggests it, IMO. [/hide] I was actually worried about Jagex removing direct trades until yesterday. Then I realized, how can runescape possibly function without it, even with loot share and assist system. What would happen if I wanted to hire a bunch of people to help me with something, double nat running or anything like that. What if the 50 nats is above the maximum trade limit? What if we have a armadyl team and get a hilt drop? How will we share it if it requires trading 30m+ to each of the team mates? Sorry, but this just won't work. Back to the main point of the article; Qeltar, what you want is a grand exchange where there is no preset "market price"? I understand changing the range to maybe +/- 20%, but a free market will not completely work if most people have no idea what an item is worth and no clues from the grand exchange helping them! Imagine that you are a low level trying to sell some grimy herbs in the grand exchange, but you have no idea what the price of them is, and you want to figure it out yourself. How do you do it? I guess you could start high and lower your requested price by a little bit each time until people start buying it. However, this is tedious and definitely fool proof, plus you would need to do it for EVERY item you want to sell in the Grand Exchange. Don't say to look up the price on the forums, if you did, you might as well sell it there too. Just a side-thought: The most reliable method to find an item's market price imo, is to set up an auction. This is how initial prices of items are usually set after they are added to the game. The Grand exchange doesn't exactly have them, but the forums do. We will have to see how Jagex uses this to set the price of new items.

26 November 2007 - The Grand Exchange
People are standing around calling out what they are selling because rune boots cost 180k in the exchange an no one will pay that much.

The Amount of Money Jagex Just Lost
Based on what I know, staker accounts aren't great at pking necessarily. Plus the wilderness has pjers and such. Overall not the same thing at all.

The Amount of Money Jagex Just Lost
I doubt it. This would have been much less controversial to say than their current explaination.

The Amount of Money Jagex Just Lost
Before the update on November 20th, staking was known as the best moneymaker, and moneyloser in runescape. For many people, staking is the only way they used to make money, or even mainly the only thing they did in the game. Other people had a "main" and one or more accounts for staking only. Since the best stakers had special stats, they often trained the staking accounts on certain stats, while restricting others, meaning they could spend hundreds of hours on these accounts that were not really good for combat outside of dueling. After the update, staking was gone, but the accounts still exist. Needless to say, most people who had spent hundreds of hours training these accounts that are now useless were more than slightly mad. There are now the tournaments, but those are really only good for people with 95+ in ALL their combat stats, not for traditional stakers. Some of the people who staked on their mains will probably not quit, but instead find another part of the game to enjoy after they get over the loss, although I expect a large percentage of them to quit. As for the people who had a secondary account staking, it's safe to assume that over 90% of those accounts will end their memberships now. So what does this mean for Jagex? According to the most recent information on the Runescape home page, Runescape reached 1 million members on May 4, 2007. I'm going to take a WILD GUESS, and say that, Runescape has 1.2 Million members by now. Keep in mind, that this doesn't mean 1,200,000 people have runescape memberships, because many people have multiple accounts. For the rest of my data, I will look to the recent polls. According to the October 15th poll, 20% of people DON'T duel in the arena, leaving 80% of people who do. 22% of players duel every other day or more. Let's estimate that 1/2 of the people in this group are major stakers. That would make 11% of members stakers. According to the poll on August 20th, 36% of people have 2 or more accounts that they play REGULARLY. These accounts are mostly skillers, pkers, and stakers. I'm going out on a limb and saying that 1/3 of these people have a staker account. This would make roughly 12% of all members major stakers. I know this estimate could be waaay off, but It does add up to nearly the same number that I got from my other poll estimate. To be safe, let's say that 10% of member accounts are stakers. This wouldn't be hard to believe if you saw how busy the dueling arena got on dueling worlds. A lot of these accounts will be changed into "mains" now, so lets say that 3/10 of these will not quit, and 7/10 of them will quit. If my math is correct, 7% of all members will quit. 7% doesn't sound like a lot, but With 1,200,000 paying members, that means 84,000 people will quit. Most members pay 5$ USD, so that means Jagex will lose about $420,000 PER MONTH! That's 5.04 million dollars per year! Keep in mind that I was very conservative in my estimates, so it's probably a lot higher!! Imagine what Jagex could do with 5.04 million dollars a year? They could hire 50 new employees with a 6 FIGURE INCOME ($100k per year or more) and put them all on customer service and stopping the real world traders. Maybe they could even give the goldfarming companies in China BRIBES to STOP GOLDFARMING (heh, like that would work...)? What the hell, they could probably save 20,000 starving people in Sudan with that kind of money (like they would think of that?). I don't know, but pretty much anything would have helped more than what they did do. In conclusion, the reason Jagex decided to use that money to annoy it's own paying customers is beyond me. The stakers may be whining at Jagex, but maybe that's because they feel they should have SOME say what happens to the money they spend. If a Jagex Mod would like to give a better explaination for their reasoning, I'm all ears.

GWD
For all slayer tasks in the god wars dungeon: wear a zammy cape and sara book or holy symbol while going in, but you can unequip it later. I do all slayer tasks in the zammy area because bandos and armadyl areas are horrible, and i haven't checked sara encampment yet (dont have 70 agility). The main room is too dangerous to do a slayer task in. Rangers: Not worth it: horrible drops and the only good spot is in the bandos area, where you will get owned unless you wear some bandos armor. mages: I saw a lvl 95 slayer there take on mages with prostelyte, zammy book, dragon boots, whip and a rune defender while praying mage. That method seems to work well. A zammy cloak might be useful to preserve prayer... Warriors: I just did a slayer task of spiritual warriors, and they don't hit very often. Bring runes for alching, cause they drop lots of mith/addy/rune stuff. I brought zammy cape, full guthans, whip and defender, and black mask. They are easy.

70 crafting F2P
I actually got 70 crafting on f2p before I ever became a member, so this is definitely my area of expertise. My stats were also similar to yours when I trained my crafting to 70, including 71 mining. I made hardleather bodies in the crafting guild and dropped them from 50-60, but that was very slow. Clay bowls in the guild is even slower! I tried buying silver ores and bars, but they were too expensive and hard to buy, so i mined 1k silver ores in the crafting guild and made tiaras. This was the slowest method so far! Then I found a method that got me from 60-70 crafting in about a week, and earned me over a mil in gp \ . I world hopped in Al kharid, buying cowhides from people for up to 100 gp each. I bought about 30k of them for 3m, then tanned enough hard leather for 70 crafting. I crafted the hardleather bodies on the way back to the bank from the tanner (this was before craft x was given to hardleather, so it was faster exp back then). Then I sold the rest of the hides to members on the official forums for 150 gp each(maybe wait for grand exchange). This was before the bank in lumbrige was added, so you may also want to try to buy hides from there also.

Using Bolts at Fight Caves instead of Crystal Bows
Onyx may just be the perfect bolt for Jad if you can afford them. Not only do they heal you, but I hear they can hit harder than dragonstone bolts (not sure if this is true)
-
Getting Onyx Rcing deaths.
I'm pretty sure nats are easier to sell. Plus not many people can craft deaths. Not sure if this is the reason or not.
-
Getting Onyx Rcing deaths.
It costs 14445 deaths to get an onyx IF YOU USE KARAMJA GLOVES. Onyxes sell for 3.7 mil, so that makes each death you sell to the store worth about 256 gp. If you can sell deaths to players for more than 256 gp, then its worth it. The current price of deaths is around 280-300 ea, so don't waste it on onyx.

Stats Against General Gradoor
Absolutely, you will do a lot of damage with those stats. But if you want many drops you should put loot share on. Since you have such high def, you would be a good tank. A tank is the one who takes all of the boss's melee attacks and has to deal with the range attacks on his defense only. Everyone else can use range protect.
