My contribution to earth hour this year was to plug all my gaming consoles, vcr and dvd player onto a powerbar which I unplug when not in use. Devices still draw power even when turned off and the only way to stop wasting is to unplug them, which I can now do in one swift and convenient movement. I think I left my lights on, though. YAY EARTH!

Research: complete. I now have Wed and Fridays off :thumbsup: The two professors I was working with all semester were stunned that I wasn't happy with how far I got, seeing as the vast majority of undergrads who do an honours project (1+ years of research) don't even come close to what I've done in one semester. On an embarrassing note, I can't seem to "satisfy" a certain "person" I am "frequenting" and it's getting to my head. I neglected my molecular biology studies in order to work on my research presentation the past 2 weeks... now I have an exam tomorrow and 119 pages to study. That and today my research supervisor was looking over my shoulder the entire day and almost gave me a heart attack twice. I would add stuff to my enzyme crude extract or my column and he'd look at me stunned, WHY DID YOU DO THAT?? You do realized that players get washed into the boards dozens of times a game? It's a standard defensive play - you finish your check to negate the threat. Paciorretty was beating him on the inside with more speed; chara did what any good D would do and rubbed him out into the boards. I was specifically calling out the face washing. To me, there's a difference between a check and pushing another man's face into the boards. Whatever, I honestly don't care enough to nitpick this much. Our values differ and so we see the situation completely differently, lets just leave it at that.

No you're right Chara should be allowed to wash people's faces in the boards. We let him sport a longer stick than the limit, might as well bend another rule. Come on. I also agree that the two hits you've mentioned are dirty, disgusting hits. The difference were the results, you're right. What I'm saying is that all hits like those (not based on results, based on malicious intent) should be punished with game suspensions, because the NHL has been letting them happen and now Pacioretty almost died from one.

Are you [bleep]ing kidding me? These guys know what they're doing on the ice, and where the glass wall starts even moreso. I don't care if it wouldn't have been a dirty hit "X" seconds before or after, its what he did that matters. A clean hit is VERY DEPENDENT on the circumstances... I could "clean hit" an old lady crossing the street, it doesn't make it right. Did you watch the replay? He didn't hit him, he deliberately shoved him into the starting glass wall 2-3 seconds after he dumped the puck. The real problem I have with the hit is that it was totally unnecessary. But I guess that what happens when your [cabbage] team is losing 4-0 in the 2nd.
