Fine.. Legs: 1- 5 minutes intense biking 2- 4-5 sets of hack squats 3- 3 sets of calf lifts 4- 3 sets on the [wagon] machine In all my sets I do atleast 8 reps at maximum weight, nornally it's 12-10-8.

I'll skip my legs routine since its boring: 1- 20 minutes intense cardio legs 2- 3 sets of horizontal bench 3- triceps on a machine 4- biceps on a machine 5- chest on a machine 6- shoulder press 7- pushups & chinups It takes about an hour and a half to do all that, legs and cardio included. Thanks for the comments

Japan have been intransigent, almost willingly slow and stubborn to react to any other means of "diplomacy". And to your first point, is that bad ? Hell, lets stop consveration of all endangered species because some are recieving more attention than others. That same thought could to applied to charities, youth groups, etcetera. My issue is, how is the consumption of tuna by most of the world different in any way from the consumption of whale meat? People eat both, so there needs to be a supply of meat both ways. Eh? There's plenty of laws that regulate how much of an animal is commercially hunted. And I know the one SPECIFICALLY for tuna is in the process of being passed. There's atleast 2 species of fish that are commercially hunted in Canada that are on the control list, they would be endangered by now if they weren't. The only clearminded explanation on why Japan, a highly developed country, is still aggressively whaling is in a South Park episode.

What if it's the links (amount and strength) between neurons that make you smarter? That's always been my intuitive model of the brain :geek:

I won't be able to drive for a long time. We had chicken delivered from St-Hubert, and now we have to cut down on this week's grocery shopping :P I didn't know St-Hubert was in/delivered to Ontario. That stuff is Godly for us Quebecers, I personally really enjoy the piece of bread with every meal, I just let it soak in the sauce and swallow it whole

I started going to the gym around the end of May, and have been going since (7 months). The picture of me on the left is from 10 months ago, and the one on the right from 10 minutes ago. I don't like uploading pictures of myself to strangers so I cropped my mug out (I'm stupidly stubborn like that). Also, to the dismay of the ladies, I had to do the comparison shot with a shirt on (forum rules!). UPDATE: 18 months checkpoint --- --- My favourite accomplishment is the near loss of my "gaming elbow". If you all compare your elbows with your friends', you'll notice yours is a lot pointier (notice my right elbow in the old picture). I still have one of course (notice the tiny bump on my recent picture, under my left arm), but I'm slowly covering it up with muscle. I'm still way too skinny (waaaay down on the BMI scale) and I still have much to work on, so this is just the beginning  . I know many of us are alike on these forums, so the point of this thread is to get like-bodied off-topic'ers to start getting in shape  My goal for 2011? Bench twice my weight. I'll upload another comparison picture once I reach my goal  Update: I can already bench 20 lbs above my own weight Update2 (18 months): I can bench a lot more than 20lbs above my weight (guesstimate; atleast 50lbs above) but I'm not near my little goal I had set for 2011.

I spend maximum 1 year with a group of friends before I move onto a new one. My only constant friends are my 4 childhood ones, who I doubt and hope I will never lose. All the others are acquaintances.

I was stuck at university while all my friends went snowboarding. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Same, and the tip for coffee would only be like 20 cents anyways... You're supposed to tip every time regardless the amount on the bill. Plus, what kind of cheapass goes to a restaurant and orders coffee? There's probably dozens of coffee shop chains around the place.

You people are talking about the weather... over the internet... You've set the boring and uninteresting bar so high that I think you will all be at a loss when you're 80 and have nothing even more boring and uninteresting to say.

If I were you, I wouldn't be worried about what could possibly kill you, since there are many off-topic posters who now want to kill you.

Woo, first two days of university went very well. Some good looking ladies in my classes, but still no "holy [cabbage], that's just ridiculous" hot girls. All my profs are cool, but I already knew that because that's the reason I'm at this school
-
Why would you prestige? It's a complete waste of time  Extra custom slot? I only need one (I can quickly change my class during the 40 second intermission depending on what map/game type i'm playing). Other than the extra slot, all you get is useless titles and emblems

Tonight I was watching a movie with friends and I couldn't stop thinking "I could be playing MW2 right now". It completely ruined the night, I was truly upset because I wasn't on my xbox killing noobs. <- is addicted :ugeek:

It's possible you won't see a lot of results for even your first year of working out. There's tall thin people at the gym that can lift a lot more than me but they still look skinny with average muscle mass. I'm assuming that you're also like them, and since you're main goal is to have a big upper body... you'll most likely fail at getting desirable results.

What you guys heard of this rock super group? It's made up of: -Josh Homme (singer of Queens of the Stone Age) -Dave Grohl (singer of Foo Fighters & drummer for Nirvana) -John Paul Jones (bass players for Led Zeppelin) Everyone has to listen to this stuff, it's off the hook. I know it's late and some will think i'm drunk off my [wagon] but trust me, I am 100% sober and their songs are making me trip. A taste: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmEj_Lq6sWo&feature=related Do you guys love this as much as I do or am I exaggerating a bit too much?

Midnight mack... What are you, 60? :-P I failed so hard last night. My stupid friends wouldn't leave the room and everytime me and the girl tried finding a new room someone was either already there or decided to hang out with us. I tried convincing her we could go in the bathroom but that didn't work out too well, so we just fooled around in a closet (that's so 2006) . Oh well. I've finally recovered from the block and I won't let it get in 2010's way. My best 2009 moment? When I discovered I can make money (a lot) by getting good grades. Honestly, life has been so much better ever since I shoved my pride in the trash can and started applying for scholarships.

Obligatory bump :ugeek: Just finished reading The Greatest Show on Earth earlier this morning. It's a really good book, but there was always a little voice in the back of my mind saying "you already know all these things, why are you reading this". ...Time to get started on And Another Thing, which is part six of three in the Hitchiker's Guide series. Yep, there's an official part 6, look it up.

I just came back from the gym.... its late (1AM) but my friends and I left my house at around 10PM because all our lady friends were at a girls night out and we didn't feel like drinking "alone". My gym is a 24-hour one, but I never stayed after 11. It was cool to go late because there's nobody and you don't have to stand guard around your weights - you can freestyle all around the gym. Then two old friends from high school came by and showed us their workout schedule, so I learned a few things. I'm so exhausted, here's what I did: -bike (an intense 15 mins) -hack squats (3 plates) -Calfs -Butt -Run (10 mins) -Horizontal bench (1 plate) -Triceps -Bench incline down (25lbs) -Shoulder press (15 lbs) -Chest machine -Biceps machine -Bench incline up (just the bar, my arms are dead by now) -3 sets of my crazy ab workout -3x20 pushups with my feet elevated on an exercise ball In the changing room I had so much trouble taking off my shirt I was slamming into lockers trying - it was hilarious. I was so drained but looking at myself without a shirt and all my muscles pumped made me <3:

You guys put on clothes right after a shower? I just walk around with nothing but a towel on until I'm ready to go out, and nothing sticks to me.

I find I have extra-lucid dreams when I go to bed drunk. On that same note, I really lowered my bar last night... it wasn't bad at all at the time but now I'm left with percolating thoughts (I hate percolating thoughts).
-
I finally went out and bought ikea bookshelves, now the piles of books and articles next to my bed an nicely ordered on my wall  I then set up my free weights in my room (now that I have extra space) and I did a few exercises. I feel like getting posters for my walls, but I'm cheap and the only good looking posters are on the internet which means 50$ just for shipping  . I guess the only way to decorate my walls properly is to regularly scout out stores that sell posters and accumulate slowly <_<

Sweater, a pair of boots, assorted dried fruits and socks. Oh and Modern Warfare 2

145 lbs +/- 5lbs, depending on whether I ate or took a dump before weighing myself. Benching 145 might not be a lot to many of you, but I had trouble lifting the bar when I started working out  . My friends who stand watch and make sure I don't choke on the bar say it's funny watching me bench a plate (135 lbs total) while some big guys do half a plate (95 total). Don't get me wrong, the majority of the big guys at my gym can bench way more than me. I also don't make stupid noises during every single rep so I'm guessing I'm starting to look very suave amongst the body builders.

I am proud to say I can bench my own weight as of today
