  1. I asked myself a similar question, and I decided on herblore, for a few reasons: -Herblore allows you to make super prayer pots, which would aid prayer, prayer on the other hand, does not aid herblore except perhaps the Berserker Curse -Soul Split and Turmoil have pretty damn decent alternatives. SGS/EE and Piety work almost as well. Not as convenient, sure, but I decided the small upgrade from prayer is worth less than the upgrade from herblore -Herblore would ultimately cost less if you made the right potions, you also have a PROFITABLE option of training it (cleaning herbs, ~100k xp/hr I believe?) A warning: Do not rely on stews above +3 to practically make potions. If you need to make a few, ok, but don't trust the stew to make your stash of overloads or super prayers, or something like that.

I tried using one before but kept accidently picking it up, and for tasks a combat familiar would be best as it speeds kills up a lot. Combat familiars don't help when you're two hitting them anyway. I suppose if you're lower level you might want one. What I do is start attacking one, and when it's about dead I just leave it for my familiar to kill. High-level familiars such as the Hydra DO help a considerable amount. That being said, just make normal melee-praying slayer gear (except swap the slayer helm for neitiz since you're not on task) and change the PROSELYTE LEGS to a pair of ZAMORAK VESTMENTS (I believe it's listed in game as a "Zamorak Robe", it's the treasure trail reward, not the red one from Underground Pass).
  3. Remember that you can usually boost your skills during quests! This means that the requirements aren't really the "minimum".
  4. Spoiler is different from hide tags. You cannot add a name into a spoiler tag.
  5. Statisitcally speaking, a tie world and a non-tie world would result in equal speed. The difference is that a tie world would be a lot safer.
  6. 1. Fastest is obviously making the best potion you can 2. Cleaning high-level herbs, although this isn't such a good idea at low levels like 40-60. 3. I would BUY UNF potions in the GE and make the finished pots. It's only about 500gp more expensive per pot, but you save a bit less than half the time required to achieve your goal. Prayer potions are the most economical atm.
  7. Cannon Ice Trolls? Cannon Ab specs? You could also just cannon a few slayer tasks and get it that way.
  8. An understatement. Plankmake can top 150k+
  9. I have always denied claims that the RoW is "useless" and that it is a "lie". It absolutely does make a difference. But is that difference worth it? That question I must answer with a no. It is almost always better to use an MA ring, Fero Ring, etc.
  10. I think in all cases, the 20% boost makes up for any other amulet bonuses. Does the berserker necklace stack with the slayer helm? Berserker necklace DOES stack. Slayer Helm is better than the salve (e) at places like abberant spectres, but for armoured zombies, hmm. I'm not sure whether Slayer Helm + Fury beats about Neitiz + Salve (e).
  11. Do NOT kill green dragons for bones. You are much better off doing something else for money and buying bones. Piety and blessing gravestones are 100% worth it! I would not hesitate one minute to spend the money. Remember it is your skills that show on your highscores, not your cashpile. In addition, having 70 prayer makes it much easier to find boss monster teams. If you are going to kill boss monsters, I'd say around 85-90 melees for a small team would suffice. 90/95+ is a must if you are soloing, however.
  12. Nothing is better in terms of pure xp, no.
  13. Very true, I agree. Ardy capes are there, so should SW imo.
  14. Ok, as I said though, I feel like it should be emphasized a bit more than a small note.
  15. If you are a high enough level, none of the complete sets are worth using. DH: Yeah, "great" for training (145k+ xp/hr at skele monkeys), but since slayer is better than conventional training, there's really no need. AH: Worthless effect VERAC: Effect CAN be useful, but the bonuses are bad enough to make normal gear better in almost every situation. KARIL: Worthless effect GUTHAN: Bunyip and unicorn and titans replace it, although at some places like DKS, it still has SOME use, although the familiar is ultimately better. TORAG: Worthless effect Nowadays, the armors are really only useful for their stats, unless you aren't high level enough to make use of their alternatives.
  16. It only increases rare drops, not normal ones like addy bars. Better off using an archer ring or onyx (i).
  17. Or total junk like steel arrows. The best idea is to just kill the confused barbarian, light his bones, and gtfo when the spirit appears.
  18. Hazeel symbol, aquired during Hazeel Cult. If you've finished the quest already and thrown it away, you can't get it back, so keep it!
  19. Should be able to squeeze a little more than that, but overall not bad.
  20. Zerker necklace + obby mace is a very good option, and I have always believed it to be second best after SS/ZS. It destroys the anchor, barrows weapons, dba, etc.
  21. I'm waiting for conclusive data on the matter before I will say that it is worth or worth not using. Yes, though, I'm still developing this.
  22. Not sure if you've mentioned w84 or not (I don't think you did, or at least did not emphasize it enough), but using it GREATLY reduces damage.
  23. Pretty easy to calculate. Find the difference in profit per 5 seeds, that's how much you would be "paying" for the difference in xp per 5 seeds. Divide and you have a gp/xp ratio. If it is higher than what you pay for trees, it's not worth it.
  24. Prayer potions are the cheapest potion to make, and they are about 160-170k xp/hr, remember to buy the potions unfinished to save a lot of time.
  25. I have always used spot 3, it is, imo, the best.
