Did you lose the account that got hacked? Even if there are no possessions, the stats are still there. Making a new account now is basically running in circles.
-
The only difference if you don't have the jujus is that you plant snaps instead of torstol.
-
Palms are cheap xp, use them, and coconuts aren't annoying to note unlike papays that you can accidentally eat and need a right click to note. Magics are worth it if you have lots of cash and want to get it faster. But most people get 99 with palm/yews. The new minigame might seem intimidating at first but it's easy to get the farming jujus. Hunt common jadinkos until you can hunt carrion. Then hunt carrion for ugune seeds, and igneous for the seconds. Allows you great profit and more xp off torstols. Bush runs take like 3 mins and get you like 50k profit. I do them once a day because you walk right next to the maple trees in miscellania so you can get your popularity up on the way by bringing an axe.

Every once in a while, you find a good, fast team. But that team won't necessarily need your role. If you apply with a lvl 1 role in something else, you're likely to be refused. Sure you don't need lvl 5 to be good in a role, but that's the only indicator other people have to gauge how good you are. Which is logical because if you're still lvl 1 that means you didn't bother with the role that much. Plus it's so ridiculously easy to get lvl 5 in all roles, took me a day. Save yourself the trouble and just do it.
-
5-10 hours to fill horn. 5 hours being a good team, 10 hours being a slow team. If you plan on getting 99 agi, you should get lvl 5 in all roles, takes 1-2 days depending how many hours you play.
-
If you fill the penance horn in BA, you get double the agility xp when doing courses, so 100k xp/h instead of 50k at your level. I'm doing this right now, it's a lot more fun because you get to alternate between agi/BA. As for order, I'd get dungeoneering up first. Maybe to around 80-90. Scroll of life, scroll of cleansing, arcane stream, chaotic rapier... there's a lot of pretty neat rewards that you'll want. 99 slayer is just a formality at this point, might as well do it after you get your rapier.

I blame IKEA.

The war on bots is not something you can win. It's always back and forth. When game developers create new anti-bot measures, from there it's only a question of time before a workaround is devised by skilled bot programmers. Jagex of course knows this. They're asking the community if we want the wilderness and free trade back, even at the cost of increased gold farming, botting and cheating. They're saying they will try to stop it, but they as know as well as we do that they are ultimately powerless against it. -
Making air battlestaves is fast, relatively cheap xp, but you're capped at 600/day from GE. If you do it everyday, it will take a few weeks. Since it's spread out on a long period of time you can easily pay it off doing farm runs, daily activites, MTK, etc. Making glories makes you break even or make a profit but it's less xp and more trouble since you need to craft -> string -> enchant -> charge, you also need more capital because the dragonstones are very expensive so you can't buy many at a time. Making diamond rings and enchanting them should make you break even or profit a little, and will give you decent craft + magic xp.

Gotta love the internet tough guy talk coming from the pkers. People who think killing people in a video game makes them badass are the biggest wusses of them all.

Most people doing clues had nothing at all on them besides the essential spade, clue scroll, sextant, etc, and had nothing worthwhile to loot. Pkers would kill them out of nothing but maliciousness, and got a kick out of seeing them lose their clue scroll. Says a lot about who you are as an person if you think it's funny to do that sort of thing. It did not make clue scrolls any harder in the slightest, it made them simply more annoying and created unnecessary drama. -
Extremely expensive items vs. free trade
highlanders replied to green9090's topic in General Discussion
It's not comparable at all. With free trade the quantity of RWT will be several times fold what we have now. It's like comparing a grenade to an atomic bomb and saying it's the same thing, that's silly. The cost of gold will also change quite a bit. Transferring the RS gold right now is an arduous task, and the cost is higher because of that. With free trade, transferring wealth will be a breeze, and the cost of gold will go down, making it very appealing for wealthy people looking for a quick-way to their goals. -
Extremely expensive items vs. free trade

More like, they get part-time jobs and buy the shield via RWT. For young professionals making good salaries, RWT will be a no-brainer as their $/hour equals to more RS gold than even the best in-game money-making methods. Achievements and items will no longer have any value as anyone will be able to simply cheat and buy them using their real-life wealth. Rich people will now not only have bigger houses, better cars, faster boats, they will get to have a better account than you too. This is what the removal of trade restrictions entails. This is not just fun wildy and liberty of trade. -

With the trade restrictions, beyond the 5$ a month and the speed of your computer & internet connection, everyone is equal. The restrictions are enough to deter most RWTers, and slow down those who are highly-motivated. Remove those restrictions and this game is no different from a F2P game with microtransanctions, where people well-off in the real world can trample over those who are not. -
20-Dec-2010 - O Little Town of Daemonheim (Christmas 2010)

I like the hat, it's pretty original. Noobs have been asking for an untradable santa hat for so long now, well there you go, except that it's tiny and there's a crab stuck to it. :shades: Can't say they didn't get what they wanted. -
I started the game in 2002 so I've seen the whole evolution. In Rs1 it was ridiculous how you needed to waste hours upon hours making things into certs. Buying things was very annoying even in Rs2. Always having to check forums, have to deal with the spam-fest in world 2. The whole process of buying/selling was long and you always got screwed some way or another by a middle-man along the way, unless you were willing to wait around all day for a reasonable offer to come up, but then again you had to compete with merchants to buy it first. It was interesting in a way, though, because negotiation was a big part how well you did. After a while you got the hang of it and could get things mostly at the price you wanted. But that's about the only interesting part. The GE dehumanizes the process, but allows everyone to be efficient. Before the GE, you needed to have people skills to get what you wanted. Some people "hired" "workers" to collect items for them, and paid them below-market price. The "workers" could have easily just gone to world 2 and sold it for more. You gotta have people skills to pull off that sort of thing.

The funny thing is before they became unsellable like ~3 weeks ago, they actually sold, hence why I did not stop farming them immediately. I probably sold around ~600 grimy wergali at 7.5k each at that time. No idea who would buy that, pretty crazy.
-
Don't grow wergali. I got fooled by the spreadsheets and planted lots of it. It sold at first, but for the last few weeks it's been unsellable and plummeting down at great speeds. I think the real value is wergali is around ~2.5k, which is the min price of clean wergali, the only way you can sell it.

In the real world, false accusations can cost you a pretty penny in fines and lawyers, depending on who you anger, and in many countries and some states in the U.S. you can even receive a felony and go on trial depending on the severity of the false accusations. Might want to start practising accusing people only when you're absolutely certain. It's a question of respect, politeness, and common sense really.

In the wave 1 lobby look for people advertising a horn filling team. Involves repeating waves 1-5 or 1-6. Also I'd get lvl 5 on at least two roles, to be flexible in case they already have your role. Defender/healer is always in demand, if you can stand it. You can easily get lvl 5 in all roles in about a day, even with the dumb BA world teams. And it's worth it on all three skills, although less beneficial on mining. Personally I'd get FM up with maples, the difference with yews/eucalyptus is quite small, and magic logs is just a waste of money.
-
I got my battle robes off the GE, rather easily I must add, I don't think there's a street price anymore.
-
Why though. Why would jagex make some accounts luckier than others? That's not something you do without a reason.
-
Some people are saying let them do what they want, well I very much doubt that these addicts really want to be doing what they're doing but that it's a form of escapism because they can't handle the real world for whatever reason. We shouldn't enable them by saying "it's OK" but rather strongly encourage them to seek help. Would you say "do you what you will" to a alcoholic, a morbidly obese person, or a drug addict? I don't think so.
-
I see you have 70ish att and str. You should raise those up before training def, otherwise it will be unnecessarily slow. Tbh if you're going to go for a combat 99, it's better to choose att or str because they will make subsequent 99s easier.
