  1. The only deposit box I use is the one at barb outpost, to drop off my games necklace on the way to somewhere else. I always forget the other ones are even there.
  2. Here's one of my cook cape outfits:
  3. Trading is now "balanced" meaning that you can't trade something for more than +/- 5k (or more, depending on your quest points) of the current market price. There's also a new center for trading called the grand exchange, which basically lets you put items up for sale and the game does the selling for you. It's a bit confusing at first so I recommend looking over the knowledge base articles here and here. Anyways, because of the trade balancing, real world trading has been seriously hindered, meaning that you hardly see bots in the game anymore. You can mage the dragons, but with the improvement of crossbows, it's a lot more cost effective to range them instead. Once you become a member again, get some black dragonhide, a rune crossbow, antidragon shield, and a stack of broad bolts and you should be just fine. I also recommend doing the "Animal Magnetism" quest to get yourself an Ava's Accumulator, which will pick up your arrows/bolts for you when you range. For money making, you can make fast cash slaying green dragons and selling the hides & bones (I've never done it, but the profit is 500k+ an hour from what I've heard), or stick with doing any of the gathering/resource skills - woodcutting, fishing, mining, and hunter. Hunter is new for you, but you start making big money around level 63-70 by catching red chinchimpas, or at 83 by catching dragon implings. You also have a good farming level, so continue to do herb runs on the side while you're training your other skills and you should start making money again in no time. I do recommend that you become a member right away, since it's a lot harder to make money in f2p. Good luck ;D
  4. Got 87 strength and 118 combat today, and I'm about 4k from 75 slayer. Can't wait to finish getting defence and strength to 90, feels like the exp is so damn slow on controlled.
  5. I haven't trained fletch in atleast a year or two, so it's possible that there's some new method of fletching for cash... However, from what I remember, fletch is only really profitable if you gather all the materials yourself, although you'd actually make more money if you just sold the raw materials instead of fletching it into something. If you're looking for a moneymaking skill, sorry but fletching isn't it. Try a gathering skill instead, like wc, fish, or hunt.
  6. Finally got my slayer helm! ;D Damn, that took a long time to get.
  7. Do the bonuses from salve ammy (e) and slayer helm/black mask stack? I think I knew the answer to this at some point, but I forgot XD
  8. I'd stick with the 4th option. Bandos is nice but not necessary, and the extra money is probably better off being spent training skills, in my opinion ;P
  9. Just a question, why use verac's if your not praying against many of the brothers? The brasard has bad defence compared to other barrows platebodies, which would save you more money on food for the non-prayer bro's, than veracs brasard would for the prayer brothers. More bonus = more pray points left over, so I usually have enough to pray against ahrim too, who can sometimes get in some lucky high hits. I rarely get hit by the other brothers so the extra defense isn't too necessary for me (Usually I only use 0-3 sharks between killing torag, guth, and verac.)
  10. My method: Wear high defense armor (I use veracs for pray bonus), use slayer dart, only praying on dharok and karil. Bring d'hide & c-bow for ahrim, and melee wep for tunnel. Also bring 1 pray pot just in case you get a dharok or karil tunnel. Some will swap out slayer dart for a salamander, though I think dart is a lot more effective.

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Proto-tool This has all info except butterfly net and pickaxe. I've never used the net, but from experience I can say the pick lasted me approximately 7.5k extra exp (15k exp total gained before disintegration).
  12. Once or twice back in the day when I was fairly low level and liked to explore random areas totally unprepared. Other than that, I rarely use them. I put them on when going after quest bosses, but I never end up needing it.
  13. Maybe I'm just slow, but I can't figure out how unlimited shop stock allows RWT. Care to explain? ;P
  14. If you just don't type anything and push enter, it goes away.
  15. From Axe Man Jack's slayer guide in the AOW:
  16. The different sets of robes from fist of guthix are all good options, however they do degrade over time, so it could be kind of annoying to use them a lot. The best set (stat-wise) for f2p is combat robes, then drudic mage robes. Otherwise, if you're willing to train your runecrafting up to 50, you can get runecrafter robes from great orb project which are a good second best if you don't want to deal with degrading robes. If not, then you're unfortunately stuck with the plain wizard hat and top.
  17. Nah, it still stops his regular hits, just not his special. Ever thought about tanking while maging? Can reduce costs massively. Wearing maxed melee defence, with a good shield. I used to do that when i was around your defence level. Basically, wear anything you can to increase defence, and the staff of your choice for your spell. Take a bow and dragonhide for ahrim. Mage all the brothers without praying, and range ahrim. Wether or not you pray against ahrim is up to you, as it can stop him lowering your defence. Even dharok is easy to tank, i've found he has the accuracy of a banana :) In his crypt, fight him on the north side of his tomb, then if he hits, run to the south side and trap him on the north side of the coffin. This^ When I go to barrows, I wear veracs and use slayer dart. I fill up my prayer beforehand, pray protect on dharok and karil, and the rest are easy. Bring 1 p pot just in case your tunnel is dharok or karil, but most of the time you won't need to use up a pot at all. It'll save you a ton of money, especially with the high prices of pray pots these days. Oh, and to keep from needing to pray against ahrim, it's a good idea to bring some dhide to wear too.
  18. Once you get to 80, you can use stun on the mage dummies in lumbridge. If you put it in full screen mode and set it up just right, you can have your spellbook right over the dummy, click stun, f4 to close mage menu, and click again without moving the mouse. It gets a little boring after a while, but I'm pretty sure you can get around 80-90k exp an hour, or more if you use SC hats.
  19. If it's an IP addess problem, maybe try doing it from a different computer? Go on a friend's computer, library, etc, they'll all have different IP addresses so you might be able to try your recovery questions then.
  20. From Axe Man Jack's slayer guide in the AOW:
  21. They're really pretty easy. You need to have either a dragonfire shield (NOT anti-dragon) or an elemental shield. You can either wear prayer boosting gear, pray prot. melee and piety, or wear defense boosting armor, bring sharks, and just pray piety. Either way, it shouldn't give you too much trouble.
  22. Thanks for the advice ;P Slayer helm it is, then. 180 points to go..
  23. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but perhaps this will help? http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Alchemy_Guide
  24. One question. Why pray melee if you're ranging it? I believe that it only uses magic and range if you're not in the melee range of it. Heh, I'd never killed a metal drag before then, so I wasn't aware I could just take a couple steps back. Anyways, it was a bit of a safety measure as well, I'm not into big boss monsters, always afraid of death ;P
  25. Barbarian assault does too, I believe, though I'm not sure if you get exp for it or not. You can always train slayer, and if you've done smoking kills quest, spend your points on runes.
