  1. Bursting costs a ridiculous amount of cash. Trade in your AGS for an SGS and camp at Waterfiends.
  2. Don't waste your blues on the overlord.
  3. Smoke devil is the only pain to make out of that list. If you didnt make them and did this instead: Make 873 of Spirit terrorbird Make 634 of Ibis Make 198 of Bloated leech Make 139 of Spirit cobra Make 134 of Stranger plant Then you would get to level 64 (444,947.6 exp) Do not waste your blue charms at your level, save them until level 79.
  4. The CharmPlanner above is pretty good but it doesnt distinguish between pouches that use lots of shards or use expensive secondary ingredients. It goes purely on best exp. How many of each charm do you have and I will try to give some advice on what to use etc?
  5. Something like Dragon meds or shield half's where the GE price is almost identical to the high alch one perhaps?
  6. A dangerous way to store cash. So shards are 25gp at the moment but what if Jagex decides to lower them even by 1gp. For the average person this will make little difference but if you had 5.4 billion in shards/shard packs. Then it would then lower in value by 216m. If shards were reduced in price to 20gp then you would have lost 1.08 billion I know that's unlikely to ever happen but stranger things have happend in Runescape.
  7. Make 20 Kyatts and save the rest of the blues until you are level 79 summoning.
  8. You can sell shards for full price? Excellent. No more junk trading to try to get rid of them. It also means I can just buy all the shards I need then swap the pouches and sell back rather than having to make X pack yaks, swap for shards, make Y pack yaks, swap for shards etc.
  9. You've got quite a few charms for your level there, well done. This is what I would do. I dont know your exact exp so I will take it from level 19 floor (3,973 exp). Use up all your gold charms first and make 747 Granite crabs. These are as cheap as cheap can get. If you get the secondary yourself it will only cost you 130,725 gp (5,229 shards). This will take you to level 33 with 20,108.2 exp. Then it's time to use the greens. Make 366 Beavers followed by 67 Macaws. These combined will cost 789,450 gp (31,578 shards). This will take you to level 42 with 46,040.6 exp. Now you can use up those crimson charms without wasting exp so much. I would make 156 Honey badgers (Evil Turnips cost too much for the seconds) then 118 Pyrelords and lastly 225 Bloated leeches. I dont know what the secondary costs for these would be but for the shards alone they would cost 1,313,175 gp (52,527 shards). This would take you to level 53 with 140,308.5 exp. It's your choice if you want to use up those blues. I normally give advice to people saying to save them until they are a higher summoning level but as you are quitting p2p you might want to use them up to save a bank space. In which case then Iron Minotaur is the best thing you can make with your blues and would cost 153,125 gp (6125 shards). At the end of all this you would be level 54 with 160,143.7 exp. You will also have spent 2,386,475 gp on shards although you can reduce this cost by buying cheaper from players and by swapping your unwanted pouches for shards back from Bogrog. If you swapped every pouch you made you could theoretically get to this level by only spending 715,943 on shards. You can't get and refund on the secondary ingredients of course. You could probably get a couple of levels more if you were really careful about exactly what you made and in what order but the method I have provided above should be simple to follow and fairly cheap. [hide=a more complicated method but one that will get you to level 56]Make 28 of Spirit scorpion Make 8 of Albino rat Make 14 of Spirit kalphite Make 77 of Compost mound Make 12 of Vampire bat Make 60 of Honey badger Make 27 of Bronze minotaur Make 27 of Honey badger Make 248 of Bull ant Make 235 of Spirit cockatrice Make 118 of Pyrelord Make 254 of Bloated leech Make 499 of Spirit terrorbird Make 36 of Abyssal parasite Make 85 of Ibis[/hide] @shooterbob7: You're friend is a lier.
  10. How close is it to a bank? Would it be better to use a lava titan for the +10 levels or a pack yak to bank the ores?
  11. 4m seems a good number, the hatchet is pretty stable at 2m. No doubt the price at the GE currently will be doubled by merchants within a week though... sigh.
  12. My first thoughts were 1. Duradel needs 100 combat to use for tasks such as Aquanites or Mithril dragons but you don't need to be 100 combat to kill the stuff and If you were high in all the other stats you could easily get over 100 combat while retaining 1 def. The poster above mentioned mirror sheilds which I had forgotten (I only ever use duradel/lapalok) so I guess 25 is the minimum as without it you cannot fight Cockatrices or Basilisks.
  13. Wasnt there some concept art a little while ago on the same page as the Dragon platebody which shows skillcapes with two skill symbols on them? I tried finding it on the Jagex corp site but its been removed. Below is a copy from the Runescape Wiki (unfortunatly small and cropped).
  14. Me_Hate_Libs has never been to Bournemouth :D
  15. My guess is that summoning stores will be changed to a different system. Perhaps similar to buying battlestaves from Zaff. You speak to the NPC (or right click>buy shards) and type how much of shards (or pouches) you want. The NPC then says how much it will cost and you can either accept or decline. *edit - Didn't see the post above before I posted. Good minds think alike :)
  16. Try following my screenshots Then put the link to your highscores in the address at the top and put a tick in the box next to your stats Click next and then properties Change the options to what I have Then finalise and press ok This is what it will look like in excel. To update your stats select the area, right click and then refresh data. If you know how to use excel you could set up a macro do do this on a button press like i have. I reccoment putting this in a seperate sheet called "Stats" then you can just use the information in your other excel sheets. I.e to get the exp you have for Summoning you would put =Stats!E26. I hope that helped.
  17. All the female characters on my friends list I know are female. Some of them have even posted on this thread lol. I know that Suzi_Angel is female too because I sit next to her on the sofa when we play hehe. There are also a couple of people on my friends list who play as female characters but are male, they have never pretended to be girls in-game, at least to me. A funny thing that I saw the other day in Varrock was two female characters arguing. One of them eventually admitted to be a 13 year old male and then the other female character laughed at him and continued to give some abuse. A short while later this character then started bragging to the 13 year old about how much they can bench press. The argument became heated and tt soon became clear that both characters were male, playing as females, arguying that they were more "manly" than the other. I just "lol"ed and went on my way.
  18. Should be included in the new forum software. :) Though people seem to think I am a girl. Perhaps because you have such good legs?
  19. People who stop what they are doing for a chat impress me the most. A lot of people nowadays are too interested in grinding levels or accumulating wealth and items (phats, 3a etc) to stop and have a chat. I am not really interested in how many hundreds of millions a person has, how many rare items they have accumulated (as an RSC player i've had them all at some point), or how many level 99s a person has. I think that items like party hats HAVE lost their status. They have reached a point where they are no longer feasable to obtain and those that do own them either stash in the bank or are merched back and forth to other merchants. It's a rare occasion now that I see someone wearing a partyhat other than at the GE or Edgeville, I find that sad. I share a sense of respect for players with dragon pets and party hats but I am not impressed by them.
  20. Eucalyptus. Not sure what its like now but they were always empty when I trained for 99.
  21. But it also takes a ridiculously long time to complete even if you know what you have to do, have everything you need, have someone thats already done it sat next to you AND following a guide. MEP2 isn't a challenge, it's a chore.
  22. As long as we dont end up going back to the kinds of puzzles in MEP2 then this can only be a good thing. Continuations of existing storylines is always welcome. What I dont want to see returning is ridiculously hard puzzles that require no skill and are purely luck based. Noone likes trying to cross a ravine (light maze) for half an hour just to get to the other side. I much prefer the more subtle puzzles and tasks in the newer quests. While Guthix Sleeps is rightlyfully a grandmaster quest but it is not difficult in the same way that MEP2 is. In short... More WGS, less MEP2 please. As for the Twitter update. The wheels of commerce suggest to me the mining consortium in Kedagrim. Yes the blog said "within the next few weeks" but this may have been written a little while ago and just not posted until the other updates were released.
  23. GE price for raw bird meat which has been steady 73gp for months is now selling at max for 91. It won't be long before it tops 100gp each. T-birds have gone from being slow but free exp to slow and expensive exp. It wasnt long ago that bird meat was 16gp too!!! If Jagex think that by doing this they will get more people hunting birds they they totally misunderstand why so many people just hunt chins. It is also very difficult to work out the costs of things in advance for training. Before I could quite safely say that 1000 Terrobirds will cost me 300k for the shards and 63k for the bird meats (from the store). If I went to the GE i would expect to pay around 72-76k. Now I have no idea what its going to cost. If I go to the GE I can expect to pay around 90-100k soon which at least gives me some idea of costs. If I decide to go to the store I have no idea what it might cost. The first 10 birds meats cost X much then the next 15 cost Y and then Z until i'm paying 80+ gp before buying out the whole stock. All I can say is that i'm thankful i'm 98 Summoning and already have a lot of secondary items and the shards i need.
  24. that's what i've done for months anyway. Only problem now is that everyone else is going to do it and I won't get such a good deal anymore lol.
  25. So Jagex have done some work on the bird meat shop and shards but i'm still a little sad. 300 at a time isnt that many bird meats when i'm used to buying thousands at a time. I'll admit I never really bought much stuff from shops but its going to take quite a bit of getting used to to get back to the old ways of stuff getting more expensive as you buy it out. It makes planning ahead very difficult. This is going to affect the mid wealth players much more than the super rich (who dont really care what things cost on the GE). I am also quite worried about buy-bots who just walk to stores all day buying up the goods to sell. I used to purchase the bird meats for myself at Ooglog and while it did take a bit longer than just going to the GE I managed ot save quite a bit of cash. Now with the price at ooglog reaching a similar price to the GE (when you start lowering the shop stock) why would I bother wasting my time there. I will start using the Grand Exchange to purchase the goods, the problem then arises that if everybody just goes to the GE why would anyone bother going to Ooglog and then the demand at the Ge will be more than the stock there. Prices will go up too high and then Summoning will cost even MORE! You should be able to get up to 3,000 of an item in shops without it going above the ge price, not 300.
