12 June 07 - Guaranteed Content Poll Results

I voted Fally too. Also, there is a chance that these ADs will extend into the wilderness. I could possibly see catching a black salamander as a challenge, although that might be a bit far north, or perhaps scoring a kill in the first 5 levels of the wilderness. The chaos that would insue in the first week makes my mouth water. And as other people have said, there could very well be new updates coming to Varrock with this update. The sewers are old. It was probably the first dungeon I ever went to in the latter part of 2001. When it was first added, a couple moss giants was a (somewhat) decent monster to have at the end of the dungeon. But it has long been outdated, and could very well use an update. -
Hi everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that the next issue of the Gielinor Gazette will be published soon. If you don't know what it is, the link to issue one is in my sig. Anyway, it has a classified ads section. The ads there now are just for fun. However, if there is anything within the RS rules you would like to advertise, I will more than gladly give you a little blurb. I doubt it will be as effective as posting in the forums, but might be helpful if you are trying to stock up on a particular item, or if you are a long term merchant of a particular resources. Or, you could create your own for fun ad for me to post, or perhaps even do shout outs. If you are submitting a real advertisement, make sure you point it out that it is real, so I can mark it differently in the tabloid. Remember, please keep your ads within the confines of RS official rules. I will post here when issue 2 is ready.

While I think it is wrong to use stuff like this to try to scam people, I really don't want it made untradeable. I was a bit annoyed when the leaf spear was made untradeable, just because I like having that option if I ever need it. It's a shame that the scum and the naive (mostly the scum) in this game have to mess up stuff like that.

hmmm.... I only have 1 vowel..... I couldn't think of anything, ran it through an anagram maker, it couldn't find anything. So, my RSN can't be anagramed.

HAHA this one was halarious. This guy was standing in the varrock castle courtyard yelling "Selling Santa 10k". I pretty much figured he was just messing with everyone, but I figured, what the heck, I would like to dress up as santa this december, might as well try. So I run to my bank and grab 1mil. I get back, and, of course, by now everyone and their stray dog is trying buy it from him. He keeps shouting "No you noob that's 10,000 I asked for 10k!" and "10k is 100,000 I asked my dad" I tried offering 100k, and he said "It says 100k but its only 100,000, you are trying to scam me" It went on for a good half hour, people offering him 10k, him getting mad because it was only 10,000, and then reporting them.

Seriously, am I the only person who plays this game that just can't seem to get people to say something to me that I can get a laugh from? The most anyone has ever said to me is "How did you get a horse head?"

Happy birthday gago. I'm March 14 -
Who me? Never! Yes, it can be hard to show sarcasm in writing. However, I have seen some VERY obvious sarcastic remarks, and I seem to be one of the maybe 3 people that pick up on it. Maybe I just catch sarcasm because I use it so much.

I think you always tried to go that way, but the weeds kept stopping you, so just clicking on the mini map was a waste of time, you'd have to actually click north of the bar, and then go around it. no if you clicked on the mini map it would take you round the north, never does clicking on the other side of an obstacle on the mini-map treat you like a lemming and attempts to walk you into a wall... If the program can't find a way around an obstacle, than, yes, it will. It you will walk as close to your target as you can get. This happens alot if the section of the map were path around the obstacle is, has not yet loaded. Probably what happened is I had this happen once, and then got in the habbit of just clicking around the tavern.

I lagged fighting the smoke boss for Desert Treasure. Well, it wasn't really lag. My laptop runs through a wireless connection from my dad's computer, which is crap. Every now and then it just randomly looses the internet connection. If it's not connected, I'm not connected. And it happened during my fight. Luckily, he seemed to be the pushover of the four, once I fixed the problem and logged back on, I was still at 50% health with the gem in my backpack.

close, 2 levels off. 101 Umm, 87?

Yes, that was actually the point of the joke. Think about it.

I always thought alchemy would be a decent stand alone skill. You would have to get transmutation scrolls to make do alchemy, and maybe would need nature rune spells to power them, then use the scrolls to perform transmutations. You would start with simple things like combining Beryl and Chrome to make emeralds, or Corundum with other minerals to make sapphires and rubies. At higher levels you could turn coal into diamonds, and "upgrading" ores, like changing mithril ores to adamantite. Of course, the higher transmutations would need somewhat expensive compenents to offset the price difference. (We wouldn't want skilled alchemists transmuting copper to iron to mith to adam to rune for free), and produce "junk" material, since the equation would theoretically still have to be balanced.

Ok, I wasn't completely sure. Since temple trekking has been out, I've used that to get to to Burgh de Rott, and did barrows from there.

I hope you noticed fruit tree and normal tree patches are separate, otherwise, I'm pretty sure fally is closer. Can anyone confirm? If I get around to it I'll check. I know the new tree patch added with the hot balloon quest is pretty close to the one bank. But since you have to go up the stairs and sorta retrace a bit, I'm not completely sure. Yea, it's really close. You have to go east to get to the stairs, then north to get to the bank booths. I've counted and it's 14 steps. The fence in falador makes it alot longer.

Also, in the diary, they said they were trying to think of items small enough for implings to carry, and decided arrowtips were the smallest pieces of metal, and therefore the smallest things that could be made out of dragon metal.

I don't think the use of the word comrade was a reference to animal farm. Camrade was a term used by soviets to refer to a fellow soviet. That is why it was used in animal farm. Loved the BRR-lin wall though.

I think it's mostly because, as you said, you train in higher level areas, and in some skills that take some work to do. Because of this, you are with much more mature people than the ones giving the community a bad name. Most of my best friends in game I have met deep in the slayer cave and slayer tower.

I agree that would be awesome. On topic though part 3 wont come out for i would say another 3 to 5 months. i can get 49 farming in that time 8-) I might be remembering things that never happened again, but didn't Jagex say their next guaranteed content poll would be about which quest to do next? I don't know, maybe I just read someone suggesting that or ranting about it....

ahh that will kill my quest cape... and i thought getting 7 woodcuting levels was hard I would need to get 1 more herblore level. Or a greenman's ale.
