No. Train melee on controlled and just do a bit of range. However, it would be difficult to keep it untrimmed.

Actually if the skiller in question were to reach 99 slayer without gaining any combat it will still prove untrimmed slayer capes are possible... because no noncombat skill is REQUIRED in slayer.

Its possible, you get 1.333 xp per damage done, and u get 1.333 hp xp per damage done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So to avoid gettin 99 hp, you have to train at least 4 combat skills, if u train only 3 youll get them and hp 99 at the same time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

As for slayer, you get 1xp for every hp the monster has, so u get more hp xp than slayer xp per kill. And if u get a friend to almost kill it for u, they get all the xp, whoever does the most damage gets *ALL* of the xp. It used to be divided up based on damage but they changed it back.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So in order to get 99 slayer before 99 hp, you would have to use cannons, poison, recoils and vengeance possibly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hp = 1.333 xp per hit, Slayer = 1xp per hit

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So when you have 13m hp xp (just under 99) youll have a bit less than 10m slayer xp. So you have to get a bit more than 3m slayer xp from cannon and poisons.

Why is it that when anyone hears about someone with high hp for their combat everyone assumes they PCed all their combat training. I had 99 hitpoints at lvl 118 combat ages ago (long before PC) and I didn't even intend for that to happen. My nearest stat was level 97. I've been training controlled since my melee stats were all 89. I still train controlled to this day even though I maxed my melee stats years ago. My HP would've been even higher except in RSC magic and range didn't train hitpoints. It honestly is EASY to get 99 hitpoints first. You just have to refrain from training only melee and broaden your combat style. Even just keeping Range on par with your melee stats is enough to do it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In terms of an untrimmed 99 Slayer cape, quite frankly I'm stunned someone hasn't done it already. Theoretically it would seem easy. Just do the tasks with varying combat styles. But this totally depends on which monsters you are assigned. You can't effectively train magic on Infernal Mages for instance (which is a common task for me).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It would also require an extreme amount of patience to keep the combat stats balanced. You would probably have to range\mage a lot of melee tasks at close-range, because a lot of slayer monsters don't have safespots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So basically, you're not only being told what monsters to kill, but how to kill them as well. I get bored enough as it is just being told what to kill... I do 1-2 days of Slayer and I'm sick of it for a month. Whoever gets that untrimmed Slayer cape gets my recognition for sure.

this really isnt aimed @ trojan but more like every1 he quoted. first off HP exp is easily gotten. so claiming people did pc for HP exp at a such and such lvl, might be true but might be the dumbest thing i have ever heard. and also i think the original quote from salim was either, poorly thought out or he meant not getting 99 HP would be hard. because 99 HP versus even 90 slayer is still really close in difficulty. infact id go so far to say 90 slayer is harder to get then 99 hp.

Maybe if you spread the way you train it around alot. Using cannon, then attk/def/str training, You should be able to get almost the whole way to 99 without obtaining a 99 skill. HP is especially tricky in this situation -.-

Nope, like Micbar said, you get the exp when the monster is killed. You get half of the exp for doing most of the damage and half exp for the finishing blow... :wink:

I think youre biggest problem would be hitpoints even if you used melee,range and mage and kept them all below 99 you would probably still get 99hp before 99 slayer

really 1 method i was thinking of was the temple trekking tome's after re-examining the minigame i saw that it gives up to 4k exp in a skill but im not sure exactly how that works out, if when given it gaves the ability to place the exp or of it is set to such skill

ring of recoil + lunar mage friend, the spell that hits 75% of the hit to you, once... but youll need it 1mil times and it will kost you 1mil sharks...

 

 

 

you can just have a friend killing monsters to 1 hit b4 it will die... and then you having the to hit the last 1-5hits...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and y6oui dont have to get the other 99 capes... :wink: if you dont youll be able to get a untrimmed with 126 combat
