bubbels
we are supposed to have updates, which speed up training little by little. pc doubled the xp incoming.
Cryptogram
Pest control doesn't ruin the game. People who flame others because they are soooo self-concious about crummy combat level/total level ratios... They ruin the game. So what if it's easy to become a high combat level? It's the same for everyone. Why waste energy hating it? You don't like it? Stay away. You want to hate something worthwhile? Try macroers. Don't follow me. Risen_The
A game needs challenges, RS used to have for combat, but with PC, all you need is a pc world. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525348 - My Pking Gallery I'M BACK FOR SUMMER BABY
Revenga
For me, PC was probably one of the greatest updates. I honestly don't care how many higher levels there are. If anything, that will only increase the number of higher level gear in the game, dropping the price, making me, and everyone else exept merchants, more happy. Besides a few of my GOOD friends, I play Runescape for myself. It doesn't bother me that there's a wave of new level 100+ with the maturity of five year olds running around, not one bit. After playing on countless level 40 pures, you get used to it. |Msg me me in-game | IrreIephant| ^ capital i
Azurechaos
It's their loss for not experiencing the skilling side of Runescape. If they want to train only combat, it's not my place to tell them they should go and train skills. That ruins the point of Runescape. Just like there's level 3 skillers out there, there will be level 126 cb pures. It's just a choice. Now, I personally would never do either. I like to do everything. But, when I want to train combat, there's only 2 places I go. Dust Devils or PC. 99 Firemaking | 99 Mage | 99 Range | 99 Hitpoints | 99 Strength | 99 Attack
Doomred8
The problem with pc is that now it takes people a few weeks of grinding just to do what it took years to accomplish. A player can get 99 mage without casting more than 1k or so spells, it doesnt make any sense. ALso, people are aspiring to hit lvl 40 just to get into pc and lvl up like a madman. My friend got up to my lvl (94) in a matter of 2-3 months. I've been playing for 3 years. it gets annoying to see noob high lvls, like a baby in an adults body (I thought we didn't make fun of people with disorders. :( ). You would expect that by the time it took to achieve lvl 100, they would have wizened up and learned everything there is to know about runescape. However, when a lvl 112 with 600 total, wearing an addy pl8 with a rune med and longsword, asks me where to start hunter, this is getting freaking out of hand. ( Level has nothing to do with anything, I know someone who's 114 and has been playing for 3 years or more that's not very smart, you can't assume most these people are PC products, because some of them aren't. They are just a little [Maybe alot] Special.) playing the game used to take skill. I remember calling my friend to a specific city when a lvl 105+ walked in the bank. now, it means nothing to see a high lvled person. (If you go to nonmembers, people are going insane to see a level 100) The legends cape used to be a symbol of something amazing. Now, with people lvling up and then using the money gained to train for legends, the cape is far too common. (PC didn't do this, I noticed the cape was too common after I got it, and decided to not use it, so I don't.) Now, the last thing you can have to show your skills is the quest cape or some really obscure skill cape like herb. The combat related capes are just too easy to get with pc. In conclusion, pc has ruined runescape. Okay. SO you're mad cause of people being Noobs in Pro's pixels? And common skillcapes? Okay? Common skill capes should be nothing. If you get rid of PC you take out the easy combat things, right? Well, what if Jagex got rid of auto-cooking? Sure more people would hate it. Sure PC isn't used the way Jagex wanted it. But it's one of the creations, and we have to live with it, wether it 'ruins' anything or not. Party hats ruined the economy, and there's not a dang thing we can do about it. So heh. Wachtwoord
My main problem is and will always be the fact you can train a skills without actually performing that skill! That makes the difference between skills totally disapear. What's the point of having a high mage level without ever casted a spell? When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
Rebdragon
PC didn't ruin the game, but it was probably the biggest leap towards ruin of all the updates ever made. We can't change it; it's always going to be a part of Runescape. Hey, same goes for the population of noobs. Doesn't mean we can't hate it's existence. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. BBC3
You said it would give high lvls more people to hang out with. Since when did your combat lvl determine your intellect or knowledge of RS? It has in a way for me. All my friends expect me to use pc ,but I find it boring and dull. Yes, it is the fastest way but Gawd does it have to be so monotonous? yes, unfortunately a lot of players only look at combat level. Whilst i train combat more than I skill, i still respect skillers a lot more than level 126s with <500 total lvl. show me a 126 with under 500 total, to be 126 you need 5 99s which is 495, or 494 if you have 98 prayer, plus the lvl 1 in every other skill bringing it over 500 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin

the_drunk_dude
*sigh* these posts happened when rc came out, when cooking received the 'cook all' option, when rs2 came out (not in chronological order -.- ) over rsc, and now its happening with pc. its expected, games are going to have new additions, and pc is just one of them. okay, so ppl can go to lvl 99 in combat much easier.... so? its not like the rest of the p2p population cant participate in pc. So the game is too easy? well wait for rs3, then maybe you guys will stop complaining
Death_Dude74
*sigh* these posts happened when rc came out, when cooking received the 'cook all' option, when rs2 came out (not in chronological order -.- ) over rsc, and now its happening with pc. its expected, games are going to have new additions, and pc is just one of them. okay, so ppl can go to lvl 99 in combat much easier.... so? its not like the rest of the p2p population cant participate in pc. So the game is too easy? well wait for rs3, then maybe you guys will stop complaining The thing people are complaining about is that they believe JaGeX is 'dumbing down' the game, that they are making it trivial to level combat, get cash, etc. And in response to the 'so what if the game is easy' comment: When many of us started RS, we enjoyed the challenge. I still enjoy RS, and that's why I play it. But we like to see balance. We like to see the guy who put all his effort into 90 mining get more out of that than the kid who picked flax. And recently people have looked at JaGeX's new implementation of 'QuestHelp' and the free runes/arrows for new players as silly. ** What this all comes down to is that players want effort to be rewarded. They don't want to see someone who played PC 50,000 times and didn't use any food, didn't play strategically, didn't worry about surviving or not, get levels so easily. Look at it this way: Would you want the quest 'Cook's Assistant' to give you Ancient Magiks, and 'Desert Treasure' to give you 350 cooking experience and access to a range? **NOTE: I think the skill tutors, etc. were a good idea. I don't personally think they are dumbing the game down. PLEASE do not debate this particular thing, as it is just an example of WHEN OTHERS HAVE SAID JAGEX IS DUMBING THE GAME DOWN! (Though I think PC is)
Doomred8
In 1981 John McEnroe won the tennis championchip at Wimbledon, England. Many "Bad calls" were made. But at the same time, Five blind moutain climbers, a man with an artificial leg, an epileptic, and two deaf adventureres stood atop the snowcapped summit of MT. Rainier. These 9 mountain climbers learned to accept bad calls along time ago. And didn't let them phase them. PC may have been one of Jagex's bad calls. But as players, we should learn to accept this bad call, and not let it phase us. Because many "bad calls" will happen in life, and we won't be able to prevent, or change, most of them. So learn to live WITH them. [Doomred8] People who point at their wrist while asking for the time really piss me off. I know where my watch is buddy, where the hell is yours? joke_slayer
first of all i'd like to say that i absolutly hate pc i admit i got a couple hundred k exp in range and mage, however i regret that. The reason is that i like a challange: that is why i love slayer, and hate fletching. also after getting that exp i did feel i hadn't earnt it, and i don't think people should act as stereotypical pc products just because they have higher stats. Luckily however i have never really met a pc product, therefore i don't know if what is being said is accurate, since i hang around the top of the slayer tower with people who actually earned their combat and don't show off as much. So you might say: well if you think this way, why not go back to rsc..... well to tell truthfully i wouldn't mind that: i never had the chance to play rsc however it sounds like the sort of game i would enjoy except maybe adding skill tutors there so you can learn just the basics (i remember it took me several weeks to learn how to craft) however i don't want a free lumby tele and no free items, just the basic knowledge needed
