quitthegame
I'm saying they should mainly update skills that bring some new element to that skill while not completely replacing other training methods. The benefit from the update should have other benefits other than xp to compensate for its ideal ~5% lower xp difference than the preexisting fastest xp. I'd say jagex aims for that the majority of the time, which is why a lot of their updates are regarded as unsatisfying and useless. It seems to be very easy to miss the mark with the compensation and have an update go totally ignored by players. You say they should mainly update skills that way... go do a percentage comparison of which updates are like that and which aren't, and check back with me ;) By doing otherwise they're making their older updates obsolete and archaic in the game while at the same time upsetting players who never were able to get such fast xp when they did their levelling. But consider, older updates become obsolete and archaic irregardless, as people get bored with them over time. That's why in the battle between mudflation and purity of original vision, mudflation always wins.
Kill_Thomas9
do the bones always give the same amount of exp?
ikraz66
do the bones always give the same amount of exp? The long bones ALWAYS give 1500 exp and 1000 gp. And come ON people! Long bones are a fairly rare drop, and i've never even gotten a curved bone! Although, 1500 exp is pretty good, considering that's worth a little over 6k worth of oak planks, if you make them yourself. Proud owner of a Quest cape! Nhs_Xc
Im pretty sure the drop rate has been nerfed. I was getting about 4 long bones an hour at skeletons (lvl 80). And now I went from 94 to just about 95 and havent got one.
Celestrana
since when is 1500 xp 6k oak planks? i can easily get 1.3k xp on 1 inventory of oak planks It costs 6k to turn them into planks A bit of math to clarify miniscooter's response: If you use 1 inventory slot to hold money and 27 inventory slots to hold oak logs. Each oak log costs 250gp to convert to an oak plank. 27 oak logs * 250gp per oak log = 6750gp Now to clarify the amount of xp gained: 27 oak planks * 60xp per oak plank = 1620xp So, finally we have 1620xp for 6750gp worth of oak planks.
